This is one of my favorite articles.
Two Roads, Two Gates, One Goal
It lays out in a very personal way, what salvation is suppose to be, the ultimate gift from God and how we can misinterpret it if we take it out of context.
I re-read this often as well as the similar verse from Paul in Ephesians.
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s workmanship created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” – Ephesians 2:8-10
Works do not give us our Salvation, it is a Gift from God that all we have to do is accept. Once we have accepted the gift, we willingly and gratefully search and follow his will for our lives, which are the good works which He prepared for us in advance.
I hope and pray you have accepted His Gift! Time is running short.
