This a very tough subject. I believe we have let this problem fester for so long that there is no painless solution.
But I list this today to show yet again how the current administration, instead of having an open debate and discussion of the topic, is making moves behind closed doors with very little transparency. Whether it is purposeful or “just they way business is done in DC”, it is deception none the less.
As you read the article, keep in mind what Christ said, you will know a man by his fruit. Does what they are doing make sense? Is it something that will help the problem, make it worse, or postponed the problem?
Quote: “Critics assailed the plan as another sign that the Obama administration is trying to create a kind of backdoor “amnesty” program.”
I say, personally, that common sense is unconscious and the bureaucracy has misappropriated resources. Why are we working on “greening” buildings when our immigration courts and southern border are breaking down? Why are we spending $500 million on a new highschool in California?
Are we re-arranging deck chairs on the titanic?

Feds moving to dismiss some deportation cases
The Department of Homeland Security is systematically reviewing thousands of pending immigration cases and moving to dismiss those filed against suspected illegal immigrants who have no serious criminal records, according to several sources familiar with the efforts.
Culling the immigration court system dockets of noncriminals started in earnest in Houston about a month ago and has stunned local immigration attorneys, who have reported coming to court anticipating clients’ deportations only to learn that the government was dismissing their cases.
Richard Rocha, an Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokesman, said Tuesday that the review is part of the agency’s broader, nationwide strategy to prioritize the deportations of illegal immigrants who pose a threat to national security and public safety. Rocha declined to provide further details.
Critics assailed the plan as another sign that the Obama administration is trying to create a kind of backdoor “amnesty” program.
