The following four articles caught my attention today surrounding Ezekiel’s prophecy of the end times.
First up, Putin has been very involved in Russia as the Prime Minister, but it looks like he may be back as the President in 2012. He has a lot of ties to the old Soviet Union, as a KGB officer, and many believe may be primed to lead Russia, Magog, and the Ezekiel 38 alliance against Israel when the time is right. Is that 2012? Something to watch…
Ezekiel 38:3-4 – “And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:”
In the previous chapter 37 of Ezekiel, God prophesies about the reforming of Israel and how he will bring all of the Jews back to he holy land to live in the last days. This is occurring and has been since Israel was reformed following WWII.
Ezekiel 37:11-14 – “Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts. Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves, And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD.”
The third article, show how the Ezekiel 38 alliance is almost complete. Iran is driving the final nails in the coffin that is the Wests relationship with Turkey. God prophesied that the following groups would form an alliance in the last days and until now, Iran, Russia, and Turkey had not formed any alliances throughout history.
Ezekiel 38:1-9 – “And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him,
And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee. Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them. After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them. Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.”

The last article is one I posted separately today, but wanted to tie in its significance here. Israel has discovered yet again more Natural gas reserves off its coast. It already has enough to sustain it for 60-90 years so it is considering a pipeline to deliver natural gas to Greece and the EU. This is huge for Ezekiel 38 because two countries that Israel bypasses with this pipeline and actually will be competing with are Turkey and Russia. Today, those two countries control 100% of Europe’s Natural Gas supply. To me, this could be a significant earthly reason for Russia and their alliance to attack Israel to take great spoil.
Ezekiel 38:10-13 – “Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought: And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates, To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land. Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?”
There are so many signs these days that I can hardly keep up posting them all. These are just a few. Stay watchful, use the third lens of scripture, and turn back to God. Accept God’s gift of salvation through acceptance and belief in Jesus Christ!

Putin hints will return to Kremlin in 2012
By Michael Stott
MOSCOW (Reuters) – Russia’s paramount leader, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, hinted on Monday he would return to the presidency in 2012 for six more years and said democracy protesters marching without permission deserved to be beaten.Asked by the Kommersant daily newspaper in an interview whether Russia’s 2012 presidential election did not worry him because he had already decided it, Putin replied:
“No, it interests me like…I wanted to say like everyone, but in fact more than everyone else. But I don’t want to make a fetish out of it.”Putin ruled as president from 2000 to 2008 before handing the presidency to his chosen successor Dmitry Medvedev, in order to observe a law banning a third consecutive term.
However Putin will be free to run again in 2012 for a newly extended term of six years. <Link>

In last half year, faced with rising anti-Semitism, increasing number of Turkish Jews immigrating to Israel. Recent attempts made by Istanbul mayor to quell fears have not mitigated concerns. ‘We are afraid,’ says Turkish immigrant
About a week ago, Turkish Jews invited about 200 Muslims to break the Ramadan fast at the main synagogue in Istanbul. The response was overwhelming, and even Istanbul Mayor Kadir Topbas, a supporter of the Jews, was present at the event.
“I have many Jewish friends even back from my studies,” he said to those present. “The recent events are not only difficult for Israel, but also for us Turks. I ask of you to tell the Israelis to return to our country. It is a mistake to think that the Turks will not accept the Israelis with cordiality.”
Topbas’ warm words on Turkish Jewry’s contributions to his country did not mitigate the concerns of the Jews present. “We all live in fear,” said one of them in the presence of the distinguished guest. “The street is affected by what happens in politics, and we are on the brink of desperation from life here. We love Turkey, but will not be able to live so long in fear.”
There are currently 17,000 Jews living in Turkey. Most of them live in Istanbul and Ankara, with smaller concentrations in Izmir, Adana, Bursa, and a number other smaller cities. <Link>

Iran driving wedge between Western allies
Like the Chinese did earlier, Turkish officials now have confirmed they will not follow unilateral U.S. sanctions imposed on Iran over its continued nuclear enrichment program, creating a potentially serious division among Western alliance allies.
Following a briefing from a U.S. delegation on requirements under congressionally mandated sanctions, Turkish officials advised their decision-makers to ignore U.S. sanctions, claiming that they were too trade-restrictive and that the effect of U.S. actions was “extra-territorial,” meaning beyond the sanctions already imposed by the United Nations Security Council.
Turkey also voted against the U.N. sanctions.
“We told them (the U.S. delegation) we don’t feel obliged to adhere to sanctions other than those imposed by the U.N.,” a Turkish Foreign Ministry official said.
For its part, China recently informed the U.S. that it also would ignore U.S. sanctions. Beijing’s refusal comes as it finalizes a $1 billion petrochemical project in Iran which also is a major supplier of oil to China.
The Turkish position will have the effect of pitting two members of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization against each other and force the U.S. under its unilateral sanctions to bar Turkish companies from trading with the U.S.
U.S. officials until now have been going easy on Ankara in its increasing shift eastward and closer alliance with Syria and Iran, including support for Iran’s nuclear enrichment program. <Link>

Israel Considers Underwater Gas Exports to Greece, EU
Israel is considering construction of an underwater gas pipeline to export natural gas to Europe and Greece.
According to sources quoted by the Globes business news service, the idea was raised during a meeting last week between Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Greek Prime Minister George Papandreaou. Relations with Greece, a member of the European Union, have grown closer over the past several months.
Turkey, a nation that once would have been considered a natural partner in such an endeavor, and a rival with Greece, is not being considered for the project. The Muslim-led Ankara government has increasingly distanced itself from the Jewish State since Operation Cast Lead, the counter terrorist war against Gaza’s Hamas terrorist rulers in the winter of 2008-2009.
A number of mammoth natural gas fields have been discovered along Israel’s Mediterranean coastline over the past few years. Among them is the Leviathan energy field, which appears likely to hold enough gas to meet Israel’s needs for the next 60 years, at the current demand projections. <Link>
