A very telling chart, what are we being told about stocks?  _________________________________________________________________

CHART OF THE DAY: Stocks For The Long Run? Not So Much

You probably already knew that stocks are down for the decade, but here’s what you might not have realized: every other asset class you can imagine is up during the same time period.

That includes not only fixed income, but commodities and even real estate.

Oof.

Reid Adding Amnesty Measure to Defense Bill

Deception, if you can’t pass it on its own, attach it to a war bill….

Is this standard practice with our government now?

Reid Adding Amnesty Measure to Defense Bill

Reuters FILE – Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada

WASHINGTON — U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Tuesday he wants to attach an amendment to a defense policy bill that would help young people in the United States illegally become legal U.S. residents.

The Nevada Democrat said at a Capitol news conference that the legislation known as the DREAM Act is long overdue. He would not say whether he has the votes for the amendment. The act would allow young people who attend college or join the military to become legal U.S. residents. The young people must have (more…)

Taj Mahal is under threat of flood

More dramatic flooding, this time in India….

Luke 21:25 – “And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;”

The famous Indian medieval mausoleum Taj Mahal is under a threat of being flooded. The building stands on a bank of the Jamuna River, and the river’s water level is now steadily rising because of heavy rains.

Now only a brick ramp separates the historical monument from the water, but if there is more rain, the water may run over it.Taj Mahal is called “the world’s eights miracle” and is on the UNESCO’s World Heritage list.

Amazing conditions to hold peace talks, with no comments made on the attacks.

You can feel the tension in the region.  It would not be a shock if we saw the Psalm 83 war tomorrow.

Only God knows his timeline, but the stage is definitely set.

Psalm 83:3-8 “With cunning they conspire against your people; they plot against those you cherish.  4 “Come,” they say, “let us destroy them as a nation, that the name of Israel be remembered no more.”  5 With one mind they plot together;  they form an alliance against you- 6 the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, of Moab and the Hagrites, 7 Gebal, Ammon and Amalek, Philistia, with the people of Tyre.  8 Even Assyria has joined them to lend strength to the descendants of Lot.  Selah”

IAF Attacks Gaza Terrorists after Israel Under Massive Attack

Israeli Air Force bombed targets in Gaza Wednesday, killing at least one terrorist after a massive missile and mortar barrage on southern Israel Wednesday morning.

At least 10 explosions rocked the south from the western Negev to an area between the port cities of Ashkelon and Ashdod. A major electricity generating station and oil and gas pipelines are located in Ashkelon. Ashdod is home to dozens of oil refineries.

This is a unbelieveable story.

Did you know this was going on?  I didn’t.  It has for years.

My heart breaks for these kids that are taught hate from such a young age, they don’t stand a chance.

Ages 6 and up?  The boy in the picture can’t be more than 10.

No wonder there is so much violence toward Israel.  Where is the media outrage?

How can we expect Israel to negotiate with a group that sponsors these type of camps?

100,000 children attend radical Hamas summer camps

Participants undergo anti-Israel indoctrination; UNRWA run simultaneous camps for a further 250,000 children.

Hamas continued to gain strength this past summer as about 100,000 youngsters underwent radical anti-Israel indoctrination at dozens of summer camps run by the terrorist group – which also attacked United Nations camps, its main competition – according to a report released on Tuesday by the Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center According to the report, more than 100,000 children and teenagers participated in the Hamas camps, which included paramilitary training and military parades. The Islamic Jihad terrorist organization also opened 51 different summer camps for over 10,000 children.

We are just getting news out of North Korea of the impact they have experienced from major flooding and a typhoon.  It says it has lost over 74,000 acres of farm land and most roads and rail have been severed.  All of this occurred last month at the same time as all the other flooding.  A major birth pain…

Dozens of North Koreans killed in Typhoon Kompasu

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — A typhoon killed dozens of people and destroyed roads, railways and thousands of homes in North Korea earlier this month, the reclusive state’s media reported Wednesday.

It was the first confirmation from the North of the extent of the casualties and damage inflicted by Typhoon Kompasu that hit the divided Korean peninsula on Sept. 2 and killed five people in South Korea.

If there is one thing the ground zero mosque and koran burning has generated, it is jump-starting the interfaith discussion or events wagon.

There are a ton of articles on Interfaith events or causes.

It is as if we have taken a giant leap forward toward the ultimate interfaith organization, the one world religion talked about in the Book of Revelation.

Interfaith Sunrise Prayer Service for World Peace in Nevada

Various religious leaders prayed for world peace as the sun was rising behind hills at Red Rock Consecrated Sanctuary in Reno (Nevada, USA) on September 12 morning.

Hindu statesman Rajan Zed recited hymns from ancient Hindu scriptures Rig-Veda, Upanishads and Bhagavad-Gita at this peace service, urging the almighty to “lead us from darkness to light”, suggesting attendees to “act selflessly” and stressing “unity and concord”.

Other religious leaders who participated in this Interfaith Sunrise Prayer Service for World Peace included: Gene Savoy Junior, Head Bishop of International Community of Christ; William Bartlett, Buddhist priest; Roya Galata, Baha’i elder; Sean Savoy, Chancellor of the Jamilian University of the Ordained; Yuki Matsushita, Bishop of Church of the Second Advent in Japan; etc.

Devotional: Sweeter After a Rest

Today’s devotional is from Max Lucado’s Grace for the Moment:

Sweeter After a Rest

In six days the LORD made everything….

On the seventh day he rested.

Exodus 20:11

Time has skyrocketed in value.  The value of any commodity depends on its scarcity.  And time that once was abundant now is going to the highest bidder….

When I was ten years old, my mother enrolled me in piano lessons…. Spending thirty minutes every afternoon tethered to a piano bench was a torture….

Some of the music, though, I learned to enjoy.  I hammered the staccatos.  I belabored the crescendos…. But there was one instruction in the music I could never obey to my teacher’s satisfaction.  The rest.  The zigzagged command to do nothing.  What sense does that make?  Why sit at the piano and pause when you can pound?

“Because,” my teach patiently explained, “music is always sweeter after a rest.”

It didn’t make sense to me at age ten.  But now, a few decades later, the words ring with wisdom–divine wisdom.

The Applause of Heaven

_________________________________________________________________

Divine wisdom indeed.

We need to remember that whole “on the seventh day God rested” thing.  He is a pretty good role model.

If there is one thing we have completely wiped out in America, it is the idea of slowing down and resting.

I vaguely remember when I was a kid, most stores were not open on Sunday.  We use to go to Church and then hang out at the house with the family and friends all day, playing board games or in the yard.

No soccer games, or shopping.

No heading into work or checking emails.

Heck, there was no mail delivery and no internet.

We need to find a piece of that again.

We need to slow down and rest, how else will we hear what the Lord is trying to tell us.

How will we hear his whisper….

May God Bless You!

Example of the insanity of PC-ness…

I am not posting this due to the Muslim protest.  This is a perfect example of what sort of mess over sensitivity and political correctness has led us to.  We have conditioned ourselves to be so thin-skinned that there is no good solution and everyone is upset.  This PC approach has destroyed so many areas of our society…. and killed common sense to boot.

What an insane corner the council has painted themselves into….

_________________________________________________________________

Muslims Protest Moment of Silence

Hartford’s City Council revoked its offer for an imam to say a prayer at Monday’s meeting, but outside City Hall on Monday night, Imam Kashif Abdul-Karim prayed for the city, in Arabic and English.

“We beseech you to help our leaders to decide with wisdom,” said Imam Kashif.

The Hartford City Council had invited imams to start its two September meetings with prayer, including the meeting on Monday. It was meant to show solidarity with Muslims at a time of controversy over the proposed mosque near Ground Zero and the possible Koran burning. Instead, it brought on a slew of hateful emails and phone calls. Amid the public outcry, the council revoked that decision after public outcry.

Some who protested said the timing was simply too close to the September 11th anniversary.

“It’s basically just disrespecting the whole Muslim community by lumping us together with 12 people out of 1.5 billion people around the world,” Imam Kashif said, speaking of some of the 19 terrorists who carried out the attacks.

The West’s unholy alliance

A dose of reality…that is badly needed.

_________________________________________________________________

The West’s unholy alliance

Op-ed: West increasingly currying favor with Islamists while ignoring their murderous tendencies

When philosophy professor Tom Hickey, one of the initiators of the British academic boycott on Israel, was asked why he refrained from imposing a boycott on the US and Russia too over their actions in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Chechnya, he responded without flinching that these states are too big and powerful, making such boycott ineffective.

Indeed, too often size dictates one’s position, even when it comes to philosophy professors, who on normal days would be horrified by the very thought that their students would seek to apply ethical principles based on considerations of size, power, and effectiveness.

And so, the greater the Islamic threat becomes, the more we see the Free World growing silent on the moral front. The clear tendency of Hickey and his ilk is to endorse almost any Islamist fanatic just to elicit some moderate tunes; for example, the growing Obama Administration’s tendency to “understand” the Muslims, among other things because “Islam is part of promoting global peace,” because “Jihad is about purifying,” and because “there is no connection between Islam and the murder of innocents.”

The above explains why people all over the world in recent days became so horrified by the pyromaniac fantasies of some crazy Florida minister, while completely ignoring Islamic threats to reignite America and the rest of the West, nine years after the September 11 attacks.

Interesting article, on our media and the bias they continue to cling to.

In that way they are deceiving themselves to the point that apples are oranges….

Criticism of Islam – media’s ‘hypersensitive’ topic

Islamic crescent symbol smallA conservative media watchdog says the recent coverage of the threatened Quran burnings by a small Florida church demonstrates that the mainstream liberal media have a “hypersensitivity” to criticism of Islam.

In the end, Pastor Terry Jones of the tiny Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville called off last Saturday’s planned 9/11 anniversary Quran burning and the controversy quickly faded. But in the days leading up to anticipated event, the media went on a feeding frenzy covering the controversy, from the standpoint of how offended Muslims would be if copies of the Quran were incinerated.

Tim Graham, director of media analysis at the Media Research Center, says the media clearly made a mountain out of a mole hill on the story.

“This is a story in which they would usually say, ‘Why would we pay attention to one pastor with a flock of 50?'” he states. (more…)

America In Bible Prophecy

Good study exploring where America has impacted prophetic events, why we as a nation are not mentioned in End Times prophecy, and a few hypothesis on how we “disappear” from the scene….

_________________________________________________________________

America In Bible Prophecy

by Britt Gillette

Is America in bible prophecy?

This is one of the most common questions from contemporary students of bible prophecy, particularly those who live in the United States.

Bible prophecy reveals much about the end times, yet the United States seems conspicuously absent from the geopolitical picture foretold by the prophets.

Given the seeming nearness of Christ’s return, this is difficult for most people to understand.

After all, the United States is currently the most powerful and influential nation on earth.  How then can it play no role in end time events?

Where Is America In Bible Prophecy?

The fact is neither America nor the United States are mentioned by name in bible prophecy.

When searching for America in bible prophecy, it’s important to understand that the Bible is a Middle Eastern book with an Israel-centric geographical perspective.  Directions, for instance, are often given in relation to Jerusalem.

Furthermore, the fact that America as a nation was unknown to the prophets has no bearing on its absence in bible prophecy.

After all, the nation of Russia was also unknown to the prophets, yet Ezekiel 38-39 clearly identifies Russia (Gog) as a major end time player:

“Son of man, prophesy against Gog. Give him this message from the Sovereign Lord: I am your enemy, O Gog, ruler of the nations of Meshech and Tubal.  I will turn you around and drive you toward the mountains of Israel, bringing you from the distant north.”  Ezekiel 39:1-2 (NLT)

In addition, the Asian nations (also relatively unknown in John’s day) are clearly identified as major end time players in Revelation 16:

County Sues Farmer, Cites Too Many Crops

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — DeKalb County is suing a local farmer for growing too many vegetables, but he said he will fight the charges in the ongoing battle neighbors call “Cabbagegate.”

Fig trees, broccoli and cabbages are among the many greens that line the soil on Steve Miller’s more than two acres in Clarkston, who said he has spent fifteen years growing crops to give away and sell at local farmers markets.

“It’s a way of life, like it’s something in my blood,” said Miller.

Indonesian Christians beaten, stabbed by Muslims

BEKASI, Indonesia – Indonesia’s president ordered police to arrest the assailants who stabbed a Christian worshipper in the stomach and beat a minister in the head with a wooden plank as they headed to prayers. Neither of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening.

Indonesia, a secular country of 237 million people, has more Muslims than any other in the world. Though it has a long history of religious tolerance, a small extremist fringe has become more vocal in recent years.

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, who relies heavily on Islamic parties in parliament, has been widely criticized in the media for failing to crack down on hard-liners. But he immediately called on authorities to investigate and to hold accountable those responsible.

No one claimed responsibility for Sunday’s attacks, but police have said they know who the perpetrators were, though they would not comment further. Suspicion immediately fell on Muslim hard-liners who have repeatedly warned members of the Batak Christian Protestant Church against worshipping on a field housing their now-shuttered church.

In recent months, they have thrown shoes and water bottles at the church members, interrupted sermons with chants of “Infidels!” and “Leave Now!” and dumped piles of feces on the land.

More economic news from someone who has been more right lately than most….

Doomsday warnings of US apocalypse gain ground

Economists peddling dire warnings that the world’s number one economy is on the brink of collapse, amid high rates of unemployment and a spiraling public deficit, are flourishing here.

The guru of this doomsday line of thinking may be economist Nouriel Roubini, thrust into the forefront after predicting the chaos wrought by the subprime mortgage crisis and the collapse of the housing bubble.

“The US has run out of bullets,” Roubini told an economic forum in Italy earlier this month. “Any shock at this point can tip you back into recession.”

But other economists, who have so far stayed out of the media limelight, are also proselytizing nightmarish visions of the future.

Boston University professor Laurence Kotlikoff, who warned as far back as the 1980s of the dangers of a public deficit, lent credence to such dark predictions in an International Monetary Fund publication last week.

He unveiled a doomsday scenario — which many dismiss as pure fantasy — of an economic clash between superpowers the United States and China, which holds more than 843 billion dollars of US Treasury bonds.

“A minor trade dispute between the United States and China could make some people think that other people are going to sell US treasury bonds,” he wrote in the IMF’s Finance & Development review.

“That belief, coupled with major concern about inflation, could lead to a sell-off of government bonds that causes the public to withdraw their bank deposits and buy durable goods.”

Interesting headline, is the world primed for a charismatic leader with all the answers?

AP – Members of the European Parliament watch Jose Manuel Barroso’s “state of the union” speech.

European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso came out with plenty of fine words during his “state of the union” speech on Tuesday. But his blandness is unlikely to increase support for the EU among Europeans, say observers. German commentators are unimpressed.

It seemed inevitable that expectations would be disappointed. European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso had called his speech to the European Parliament on Tuesday a “state of the union” address, inviting comparisons to the annual speeches given by American presidents.

But Barroso, who is not known for his charisma or public speaking ability, could only suffer through such comparisons. (more…)

UPDATE: New Drug-Resistant Superbugs Found in 3 States

BOSTON –  An infectious-disease nightmare is unfolding: Bacteria that have been made resistant to nearly all antibiotics by an alarming new gene have sickened people in three states and are popping up all over the world, health officials reported Monday.

The U.S. cases and two others in Canada all involve people who had recently received medical care in India, where the problem is widespread. A British medical journal revealed the risk last month in an article describing dozens of cases in Britain in people who had gone to India for medical procedures.

How many deaths the gene may have caused is unknown; there is no central tracking of such cases. So far, the gene has mostly been found in bacteria that cause gut or urinary infections.

Referendum for Islam Puts Turkey and Syria Back on ‘Peace Table’

Turkey wasted no time after its “referendum for Islam” and promoted its alliance with Syria the key for a regional Middle East peace.

Gloating after a strong majority voted for reforms that satisfy European Union demands for democratic reform while weakening the power of the secular-oriented judicial and military institutions, the Islamic government said the vote boosts Ankara’s in the diplomatic position.

President Abdullah Gul said, “All the articles in the constitutional amendment package are about bringing Turkey’s standards to the European level under Turkey’s European Union membership process.” Turkey has been seeking membership in the EU, a move that would allow Ankara more political clout to force a Syrian-Israeli peace accord based on Israel’s surrendering the strategic Golan Heights.

More not so good news for our nation, all you have to do is look at the charts below.

We are in uncharted territory now.

As prophecy unfolds, we, as a nation, will need to be knocked down.  Several factors are converging to make this possible, devaluing of our dollar, run away unemployment, dismantling of our capitalist system, socialist agenda aligning with other world powers, and at some point, the rapture.

It will be interesting what triggers the first domino or if they have already dropped and we don’t know it.

The good news is Christ promised to keep us from the worst with his promise to rapture the church….

I post this article for two reasons, first the outlook on Gold and Silver.  Both are where even bond holders are fleeing now.

Second and most important, the fact that they expect the Federal Reserve to buy $1 trillion worth of our debt over the next few weeks.

Many expect that to “help” stabilize us but if you peel the onion, you would see that it means we are printing money to buy the debt.

This is extremely dangerous as it has never ended well in the history of fiat currency, and certainly never been done at this level.

Folks, we are at the edge of a cliff, maybe hanging by a twig.  Get prepared for a rocky fall if they print the money.

Other forces are aligning to pick up the pieces….

Stocks, Treasuries, Gold Gain on Fed Bond-Purchase Speculation

Stocks rose for a fifth day, the longest streak for the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index since July, while gold surged to a record and Treasuries gained on speculation the Federal Reserve will purchase as much as $1 trillion in bonds to bolster the economy.

The S&P 500 rose 0.2 percent to 1,123.95 at 3:20 p.m. in New York, led by technology companies on speculation of increased buybacks and dividends. Gold futures surged as much as 2.4 percent to $1,276.50 an ounce and the 10-year Treasury yield slid 9 basis points to 2.66 percent. The Dollar Index, which gauges the U.S. currency against six major trading partners, slumped 1 percent as the yen surged to a 15-year high and the Swiss franc touched $1 for the first time this year.

A total of $1 trillion in bond purchases would improve stability in financial markets and boost real gross domestic product by as much as 0.4 percentage point, Goldman Sachs Group Inc.’s chief economist Jan Hatzius said. The central bank’s Federal Open Market Committee will meet next week to set policy.

“The Fed has a couple of more bullets in the chamber,” said Michael Nasto, senior trader at U.S. Global Investors Inc., (more…)

Devotional: A Life Free of Clutter

Today’s devotional is from Max Lucado’s Grace for the Moment

A Life Free of Clutter

Your heart will be where your treasure is.

Matthew 6:21

The most powerful life is the most simple life.  The most powerful life is the life that knows where it’s going, that knows where the source of strength is, and the life that stays free of clutter and happenstance and hurriedness.

Being busy is not a sin.  Jesus was busy.  Paul was busy.  Peter was busy.  Nothing of significance is achieved without effort and hard work and weariness.  Being busy, in and of itself, is not a sin.  But being busy in an endless pursuit of things that leave us empty and hollow and broken inside–that cannot be pleasing to God.

One source of man’s weariness is the pursuit of things that can never satisfy; but which one of us has not been caught up in that pursuit at some time in our life?  Our passions, possessions, and pride–these are all dead things.  When we try to get life out of dead things, the result is only weariness and dissatisfaction.

Walking with the Savior

Truer words have not been spoken.  It is a pit we continuously have to keep dragging ourselves out of.

You would think we would learn but shiny objects do distract, and esteemed positions to present themselves.  How I wish, I could resist and avoid the pit.

I think this is the Achilles heel of America.  We have gotten so wrapped up in stuff that we have lost sight of God.  Our lives these days are so full of stuff and distractions.

Stop for a minute and list off all the stuff you do in a day.

First off, I bet it is a really long list and I bet eighty percent, maybe even ninety percent of it has nothing to do with God.

Think about that.

What are we placing first in our lives.  We all do it, but why.

One of the things I started doing recently was giving God my first hour each day.  (I think it got me to the 90% mark, so I have more room to grow.)

But you know what I have noticed is that the days I follow through with it,  life is so much more in-focus and generally better.  I feel more peace.  Why do we fight it so.

So my challenge to you, is to give the Lord the first hour.

(Men, there is a great program that I started (It’s free).  Go to rizeup.us to find out more if you are interested.)

May Peace be with you!

Social Engineering Bill In Senate Will Force You Into City

September 10, 2010 by Bob Livingston

Social Engineering Bill In Senate Will Force You Into City

A social engineering bill to restrict residence in the suburbs and rural areas and force Americans into city centers has passed the United States Senate Banking Committee and is on the fast track to passage in the Senate.

The bill is called the Livable Communities Act (SB 1619) and it was introduced by corruptocrat outgoing Senator Christopher Dodd (D-Conn.). It seeks to fulfill the United Nation’s plan Agenda 21, adopted at the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro in 1992 and signed onto by “New World Order” President George H.W. Bush.

This bill is designed to destroy your community. According to the non-profit American Policy Center the bill:

  • Is a blueprint for the transformation of our society into total Federal control.
  • Will enforce Federal Sustainable Development zoning and control of local communities.
  • Will create a massive new “development” bureaucracy.
  • Will drive up the cost of energy to heat and cool your home.
  • Will drive up the cost of gasoline as a way to get you out of your car.
  • Will force you to spend thousands of dollars on your home in order to comply.

Super study of the coming Psalm’s 83 war…

_________________________________________________________________

Psalm 83 … Preview Of A Coming Attraction

A Bible Study by Jack Kelley

Hezbollah says that Israel’s disappearance after the next war is an established fact. Iran’s President has called Israel a dirty microbe and a savage animal that will soon disappear in a flash. The commander in chief of Iran’s army predicts that millions will soon receive the joyous news of Israel’s destruction. Israel’s chief of staff warns of a “tough ordeal” coming soon.
With all the rhetoric flying around the Middle East about a major war this summer, and with multiple countries (including the US) rapidly beefing up their military preparedness, a quick review of Psalm 83 is in order to refresh our minds on the prophetic details of this coming attack against Israel.

Psalm 83 was probably written some time after the end of King Solomon’s reign (about 900 BC)  but the Bible contains no account of such a coordinated effort by all of Israel’s neighbors to destroy them, either during that time or since.  A partial fulfillment may be in view in 2 Chron. 20 when Moab, Ammon, and parts of Edom invaded Judah during King Jehosophat’s reign (872-848 BC) Interestingly, Jahaziel, a Levite who prophesied Judah’s victory in that battle was a descendant of Asaph, who wrote Psalm 83. Applying one of his favorite tactics, the Lord set Israel’s enemies against each other and they defeated themselves. Ezekiel 38:21 tells of a future use of this same tactic.

More efforts around interfaith efforts, this time with an event in Istanbul.

They say it is for Christians, Jews, and Muslims but I wonder how that will workout?  In Istanbul?

It will be interesting to see what ends up being the rallying point for the one world religion…

Haniyeh: No obligation to adhere to Israel-PA agreement

Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh said that no one will be obligated to adhere to a potential peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, Israel Radio reported on Friday.

Any agreement to come out of the current peace talks would be illegitimate because the Palestinian Authority has not been authorized by the Palestinian people to negotiate on their behalf, Haniyeh stated.

Khamenei: Israel, Palestine talks will not lead to peace

Iran’s Supreme Leader on Friday said US-sponsored talks between Israel and the Palestinian Authority is a cover-up for Israeli crimes against the Palestinian nation. “The United States and the West just sit back and watch the suppression of the Palestinian nation, and yet they arrange talks for peace, what peace? Between which people?” Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said.

This is a great article that shows how the Ezekiel 38 alliances are beginning to solidify.

Russia is taking a much bolder stance and becoming much more pro-Islamic.

This is necessary to set the stage for the prophesied end time battle, where God will step in and save Israel from the attack, turning the Jews back to Him.

Russia plans return to world stage with pro-Islamic policies

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev visited Syria this week and met with Hamas politburo Khaled Mashaal. On Wednesday, he even stated that Hamas should be included in the Middle East peace process, despite Israel’s firm stand against the Islamist movement.

Is Russia taking a pro-Islamic side in one of the most explosive regions in the world? A former Israeli ambassador to Russia explains that Moscow is seeking to increase its involvement, and hold, in the region. Terror organizations? It’s doesn’t really matter to them.

“Russia doesn’t view it as taking sides. That’s too harsh. It’s taking the middle. It wants to assume the role of the Middle East mediator,” says former Ambassador Zvi Magen.

7 Questions for the Imam at Ground Zero

Very good opinion piece on what questions old-time journalists might ask the Iman.

But I won’t hold my breath for any response these days…

Well worth the read and ponder, how you think their actions (fruit) answer the questions.

Christ told us we would know a man by his fruit…

7 Questions for the Imam at Ground Zero

In my prior article for Fox News Opinion, I posed seven questions of Pastor Terry Jones, concerning his (now suspended) plans to burn copies of the Koran on September 11. There is also the need to pose questions of Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, and his Cordoba House planned near Ground Zero.

In his September 7 New York Times opinion piece, and subsequent media appearances, Imam Rauf has defined an Islamic commitment to “building bridges,” and “fostering understanding and peace.”

As a Christian, there’s a biblical assumption that genuine understanding and bridge building are rooted in the power to love hard questions – where the mutual honor of an equal humanity is assumed for all people.

Not much to say here, make up the stats and then report that they appear better than expected?

Could never have guessed that outcome. Those are not little states either.

Scary thing is that the market and other institutions tend to rely on them.

Deception is everywhere, we must stay watchful and put our trust in the Lord!

Nine States Did Not File Initial Claims Data Due To Labor Day, Hundreds Of Thousands Of Estimates In Data “Beat”

The BLS has announced that as a result of the Labor Day weekend, 9 states (among which the biggest one California) did not report initial claims data to the bean counters, so instead the government had to “estimate” what the data would have been: yep, estimate, what the data was in these nine states.

From Bloomberg: “For the latest reporting week, nine states didn’t file claims data to the Labor Department in Washington because of the Labor Day holiday earlier this week, a department official told reporters. California and Virginia estimated their figures and the U.S. government estimated the other seven.”

Official data is now made up on the fly. This US economic data reporting has just entered the twilight zone. Also, when the data is officially made up, it is not that difficult to get data that is “better than expected.” The full list of states is: DC, Illinois, Idaho, Hawaii, Oklahoma, Michigan, and Washington. California and Virginia estimated themselves.

Concerning the Jewish Calendar and Feasts

Great article outlining how the different calendars fit together along with the feasts.

It is amazing once you start peeling back the biblical history how much there is to the Bible.

It is the most amazing book.  Praise the Lord!

Concerning the Jewish Calendar & Feasts

Editor’s Note: We received this email message from an A-O reader and felt it was worth sharing with you. – Something to think about.

One thing to be aware of… the Rabbinical calendar was created by Hillel the 2nd in the 4th century.  The Hillel calendar was created as the last act of the Sanhedrin as they were being expelled from Israel.  The calendar ignores the Biblical reckoning of time, and is primarily responsible for many misunderstandings regarding feast days.

Potential Collapse of Kabul bank

Prophecy Sign: Revelation 13:16-17 warns us of what?  You will need to know exactly what this prophecy says so that when you see the world’s economic systems crash you will know what is about to happen next. Read what Jesus stated. “He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.”

If you are new to my site I suggest you go back and read my previous warnings where I tell you that banks around the world will fold up and in the end there will be a global economic collapse that will help force the man Jesus spoke to us about in verse 16-17 to take control of the world.  The current global economic is growing and the news out of Kabul is a prime example of what I have been warning you about.

Climate: New study slashes estimate of icecap loss

PARIS (AFP) – – Estimates of the rate of ice loss from Greenland and West Antarctica, one of the most worrying questions in the global warming debate, should be halved, according to Dutch and US scientists.

In the last two years, several teams have estimated Greenland is shedding roughly 230 gigatonnes of ice, or 230 billion tonnes, per year and West Antarctica around 132 gigatonnes annually.

Media Bias: The Chasm Widens

With the media becoming so polarized, who can you trust?

Amazing ratios when you look at 7 to 1 or 17 to 1.

This is why Christ warned us to remain watchful, so we are not deceived.

Media Bias: The Chasm Widens

Journalism: That the media were in the tank for Barack Obama in 2008 is almost a given. But how much they favored him is now being quantified, and the margins appear to be even wider than those for liberal candidates of the past.

Thanks to the Washington Examiner, which analyzed data from the Center for Responsive Politics, we learn that “senior executives, on-air personalities, producers, reporters, editors, writers and other self-identifying employees of ABC, CBS and NBC” were overwhelmingly in the Obama camp.

Overall, 1,160 employees of the big three networks gave Democratic candidates and campaign committees $1.02 million, while 193 contributed $142,863 to Republican candidates and campaign committees. That’s a 7-to-1 ratio.
