Once a week the two men that manage Rapture Ready write an article.  It is the Nearing Midnight section and I would suggest checking it out each Monday.  Here is what Terry wrote this week.

This article sums up pretty well, the struggles I went through internally with God as he convinced me to launch this site.  Since giving into His Will, I must confess, I have not felt any animosity toward non-believers or those that have not awoken yet.  Instead, I feel this urgency to wake as many as I can before God’s timeline runs its course.

I use the term “wake up” simply because that is the feeling I felt when my eyes were open to looking at life through the third lens of scripture.  Once I was awakened, all of the events took on a more positive note, more like amazement at God’s power and the Truth of His Word, then fear.  Yes, these events still concern me and I sometimes lose sleep, but it is so much better than before I woke up.

Prophecy with Purpose

One of the most false and cutting accusations launched at the belief that the Bible teaches that a person cannot lose his or her salvation when truly born again (John 3:3) is: “If you believe once saved, always saved, you are saying that people can live any way they want without fear of punishment.” Or so the line of condemning criticism goes.

The absolute assurance of eternal security, of course, engenders no such thought within the mind truly regenerated by the saving power of Jesus Christ. The Bible teaches that the Lord convicts His children in their spirits, and that habitual, unrepented-of sin will result in severe penalties–even physical death, in some cases. The Heavenly Father’s patience is longsuffering, but it is not infinite.

A person who is a child of God cannot sin without severe repercussions, if repentance isn’t forthcoming. But, that person will never be kicked out of God’s family. Never.

A kindred sort of accusation is thrown at those who believe in the Pre-Trib view of Bible prophecy. The Pre-Tribulation view, of course, is the one we at Rapture Ready believe God’s Word teaches. It is the view that Jesus Christ will call all who are born again to Himself before the Tribulation, which is the last seven years of history leading to the Second Advent (Rev. 19: 11).

The angry diatribe against the Pre-Trib Rapture view–by even genuine Christians, in many cases–usually goes something like this: “People like you, who believe that the Lord is going to rapture them before the Tribulation, think you can live however you want, because you think and teach falsely that you are going to be rescued before God’s judgment and wrath fall, no matter what.”

The non-Christian accusers who castigate those of us who hold the Pre-Trib rapture view have their own version. It goes something like: “Christians who believe like that don’t care anything about making the world better. You even hope for things to get worse and worse. You wish for earthquakes, famines, pestilence, war in the Middle East, and for Armageddon to hurry up and get here so you will go to your pie in the sky, and watch the rest of us get ours.”

Although the first criticism is absolutely not true, I have to admit that, regarding the second, too often I’ve sensed–even heard–such sentiments from some of those who believe in the Pre-Trib rapture. And, it is entirely the wrong attitude for the Christian to hold. There are no excuses for wanting the Christ-rejecting world of non-believers to be the recipients of God’s judgment and wrath. It is only by God’s unfathomable grace that every one of us isn’t headed into that time of unprecedented horror.

No matter how–to use Lot’s King James Version word–“vexed” we becomes by the debauched, debased actions of the lost world around us, our job as Christ’s children–His representatives here on earth–is of a completely different nature than wanting to see them “get what’s coming” to them. The changed nature produced by being born again into God’s eternal family should make you and me do just the opposite of wanting them, in our vexation, to get what we see as coming to them.

The Christian whose spirit is attuned to the Holy Spirit’s desire for the lost doesn’t want to see them “get what’s coming to them” either during the Tribulation or upon death. Rather, we want to do all within our power to keep them from having to go through the coming time of God’s judgment and wrath. That’s what Christ’s Great Commission to His disciples before He ascended to sit at the Father’s right hand is all about, you see. That is what God’s love–love that those who have Christ indwelling them possess–is all about. (Read Matthew 28:18-20.)

In the same vein, that’s what Bible prophecy is all about. Prophecy given in God’s Word has purpose–profound purpose. Bible prophecy has at its center the commission from the Lord to forewarn of God’s judgment and wrath to come upon all who oppose Him–the Lord of Heaven and Creator of all things. It is not the hatred of God for the lost people of this fallen planet that drives prophecy. It is the love of God that powers His prophetic Word. It must be the Christian’s desire, therefore, to study Bible prophecy and put forth those forewarnings out of a spirit of God’s love, not through an anger-filled abhorrence of those who are lost.

Christians who do study prophecy–and they seem to be few these days, I’m sad to have to say–are often heard wondering about when Christ will call the church (born-again believers) in the rapture. Everything seems so ripe for His plucking His people from this sin-darkened sphere.

Nothing and no one can change God’s timing for His next catastrophic intervention into earth’s history. It will happen exactly on time, as He has determined since before the foundation of this world. However, we might as believers look to ourselves for the Lord’s–often in our view–delay in calling us as outlined in 1 Corinthians 15:51-55 and 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18.

The apostle Peter gave the heart of the reason Christ hasn’t raptured His church: “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” (2 Pet. 3:9).

The purpose of Bible prophecy is to show the love of God to a lost and otherwise doomed world. God is not willing that anyone should perish (die in his or her sins), but that all should come to repentance (accept Jesus Christ as the one and only sacrifice for sin that God will accept).

The Lord is “longsuffering.” The reason, I’m convinced, that the Lord seems so “slack” to many in His coming is because those same people have neglected their duty to share the love of God with the lost–the lost whom God loves so very much that He sent His only begotten Son in order that they not perish.

It is well past the time for God’s people to begin investing in getting the message of the love of God to those who will otherwise not hear the warning of deadly things soon to befall this Christ-rejecting planet. Considering these times that so dramatically are signaling the coming Tribulation, Bible prophecy can and must be used as a productive tool for evangelism.

Here is an article about Israel tearing down the wall that protected Jerusalem suburbs from sniper fire.  In Ezekiel, it talks about the northern allies sweeping in to attack a un-walled Jerusalem and that Israel would be living in a state of relative peace and safety.  This is beginning to fulfill a portion of that prophecy and set the stage for coming events.

Ezekiel 38:11 – “…’I will invade a land of un-walled villages; I will attack a peaceful and unsuspecting people – all of them living without walls and without gates and bars.’…”

IDF razes wall dividing Jewish and Arab areas east of Jerusalem

Work starts to remove concrete barrier at Gilo built-in 2002, later becoming one of the enduring symbols of the Second Intifada.

Work began east of Jerusalem Monday morning to remove one of the city’s enduring symbols of the Israel-Palestinian conflict, a two-meter-high concrete barrier built to separate the Jewish neighborhood of Gilo from the Arab district of Beit Jalla.

The army’s home front command began the demolition at the request of Jerusalem’s municipality, after security checks suggested that the wall, designed to protect Gilo residents from sniper fire, was no longer needed.

Found this post on Frank DiMora’s site today, it is one of the two articles I posted yesterday but with some good commentary and a couple of short videos.

Prophecy Sign: Revelation 6:6 “Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, “A quart of wheat for a day’s wages, and three quarts of barley for a day’s wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!”  Last week I showed you that the prices of wheat has increased 40-50%. Check out my post dated Aug. 6, 2010.  Now I want to show you what they are saying about barley.

“The price of barley, an important feed grain for the European livestock industry, has more than doubled in six weeks in response to the drought affecting Russia and Ukraine, prompting fears of increases in the cost of meat and poultry. –Barley production is also down in the European Union and Canada – two other large exporters – due to bad weather.”

I hope you are getting picture? Everything Jesus has warned us is come to pass right before our eyes.

Frank DiMora put this list together of predictions, I have included a link to his original post below.  I love the title.  It is an amazing list in the volume, but once you start reading through some of them it starts gets serious.  I don’t necessarily agree with all of them or even most of them (I haven’t added them up) but I wanted to post his list in its entirety. It is interesting to see directionally what experts think is coming our way.  He divided it into two sections, the first one is secular voices and the second is prophetic voices.  I have added some bolding and underlining to make those sections clearer.

Economic Crash Forecast for 2010
3/24/10
Secular Voices
Bob Chapman
First 6 months of 2010, Americans will continue to live in the ‘unreality’…the period between July and October is when the financial fireworks will begin. The Fed will act unilaterally for its own survival irrespective of any political implications …(source is from insider at FED meetings). In the last quarter of the year we could even see Martial law, which is more likely for the first 6 months of 2011. The FDIC will collapse in September 2010. Commercial real estate is set to implode in 2010. Wall Street believes there is a 100% chance of crash in bond market, especially municipals sometime during 2010. The dollar will be devalued by the end of 2010.
Gerald Celente
Terrorist attacks and the “Crash of 2010″. 40% devaluation at first = the greatest depression, worse than the Great Depression.
Igor Panarin
In the summer of 1998, based on classified data about the state of the U.S. economy and society supplied to him by fellow FAPSI analysts, Panarin forecast the probable disintegration of the USA into six parts in 2010 (at the end of June – start of July 2010, as he specified on 10 December 2008)
Neithercorps
Have projected that the third and final stage of the economic collapse will begin sometime in 2010. Barring some kind of financial miracle, or the complete dissolution of the Federal Reserve, a snowballing implosion should become visible by the end of this year. The behavior of the Fed, along with that of the IMF seems to suggest that they are preparing for a focused collapse, peaking within weeks or months instead of years, and the most certain fall of the dollar.
Webbots
July and onward things get very strange. Revolution. Dollar dead by November 2010.
LEAP 20/20
2010 Outlook from a group of 25 European Economists with a 90% accuracy rating- We anticipate a sudden intensification of the crisis in the second half of 2010, caused by a double effect of a catching up of events which were temporarily « frozen » in the second half of 2009 and the impossibility of maintaining the palliative remedies of past years. There is a perfect (economic) storm coming within the global financial markets and inevitable pressure on interest rates in the U.S. The injection of zero-cost money into the Western banking system has failed to restart the economy. Despite zero-cost money, the system has stalled. It is slowly rolling over into the next big down wave, which in Elliott Wave terminology will be Super Cycle Wave Three, or in common language, “THE BIG ONE, WHERE WE ALL GO OVER THE FALLS TOGETHER.”
Joseph Meyer
Forecasts on the economy. He sees the real estate market continuing to decline, and advised people to invest in precious metals and commodities, as well as keeping cash at home in a safe place in case of bank closures. The stock market, after peaking in March or April (around 10,850), will fall all the way down to somewhere between 2450 and 4125 during the next leg down.
Harry Dent (investor)
A very likely second crash by late 2010. The coming depression (starts around the summer of 2010). Dent sees the stock market–currently benefiting from upward momentum and peppier economic activity–headed for a very brief and pleasant run that could lift the Dow to the 10,700-11,500 range from its current level of about 10.090. But then, he sees the market running into a stone wall, which will be followed by a nasty stock market decline (starting in early March to late April) that could drive down the Dow later this year to 3,000-5,000, with his best guess about 3,800.
Richard Russell (Market Expert) (from 2/3/10) says the bear market rally is in the process of breaking up and panic is on the way. He sees a full correction of the entire rise from the 2002 low of 7,286 to the bull market high of 14,164.53 set on October 9, 2007. The halfway level of retracement was 10,725. The total retracement was to 6,547.05 on March 9, 2009. He now sees the Dow falling to 7,286 and if that level does not hold, “I see it sinking to its 1980-82 area low of Dow 1,000.” The current action is the worst he has ever seen. (Bob Chapman says for Russell to make such a startling statement is unusual because he never cries wolf and is almost never wrong)
Niño Becerra (Professor of Economics)
Predicted in July 2007 that what was going to happen was that by mid 2010 there is going to be a crisis only comparable to the one in 1929. From October 2009 to May 2010 people will begin to see things are not working out the way the government thought. In May of 2010, the crisis starts with all its force and continues and strengthens throughout 2011. He accurately predicted the current recession and market crash to the month.
Lyndon Larouche
The crisis is accelerating and will become worse week by week until the whole system grinds into a collapse, likely sometime this year. And when it does, it will be the greatest collapse since the fall of the Roman Empire.

WALL STREET JOURNAL- (2/2010)
“You are witnessing a fundamental breakdown of the American dream, a systemic breakdown of our democracy and our capitalism, a breakdown driven by the blind insatiable greed of Wall Street: Dysfunctional government, insane markets, economy on the brink. Multiply that many times over and see a world in total disarray. Ignore it now, tomorrow will be too late.”
Eric deCarbonnel
There is no precedence for the panic and chaos that will occur in 2010. The global food supply/demand picture has NEVER been so out of balance. The 2010 food crisis will rearrange economic, financial, and political order of the world, and those who aren’t prepared will suffer terrible losses…As the dollar loses most of its value, America’s savings will be wiped out. The US service economy will disintegrate as consumer spending in real terms (ie: gold or other stable currencies) drops like a rock, bringing unemployment to levels exceeding the great depression. Public health services/programs will be cut back, as individuals will have no savings/credit/income to pay for medical care. Value of most investments will be wiped out. The US debt markets will freeze again, this time permanently. There will be no buyers except at the most drastic of fire sale prices, and inflation will wipe away value before credit markets have any chance at recovery. The panic in 2010 will see the majority of derivatives end up worthless. Since global derivatives markets operate on the assumption of the continued stable value of the dollar and short term US debt, using derivatives to bet against the dollar is NOT a good idea. The panic in 2010 will see the majority of derivatives end up worthless. The dollar’s collapse will rob US consumers of all purchasing power, and any investment depend on US consumption will lose most of its value.
Robin Landry (Market Expert)
I believe we are headed to new market highs between 10780-11241 over the next few months. The most likely time frame for the top is the April-May area. Remember the evidence IMHO still says we are in a bear market rally with a major decline to follow once this rally ends.
John P. Hussman, Ph.D.
In my estimation, there is still close to an 80% probability (Bayes’ Rule) that a second market plunge and economic downturn will unfold during 2010.
Robert Prechter
Founder of Elliott Wave International, implores retail investors stay away from the markets… for now. Prechter, who was bullish near the lows in March 2009, now says the stock market “is in a topping area”, predicting another crash in 2010 that will bring stocks below the 2009 low. His word to the wise, “be patient, don’t rush it” keep your money in cash and cash equivalents.
Richard Mogey
Current Research Director at the Foundation for the Study of Cycles- Because of a convergence of numerous cycles all at once, the stock market may go up for a little while, but will crash in 2010 and reach all-time lows late 2012. Mogey says that the 2008 crash was nothing compared to the coming crash. Gold may correct in 2009, but will go up in 2010 and peak in 2011. Silver will follow gold.
James Howard Kunstler (January 2010)
The economy as we’ve known it simply can’t go on, which James Howard Kunstler has been saying all along. The shenanigans with stimulus and bailouts will just compound the central problem with debt. There’s not much longer to go before the whole thing collapses and dies. Six Months to Live- The economy that is. Especially the part that consists of swapping paper certificates. That’s the buzz I’ve gotten the first two weeks of 2010.
Peter Schiff (3/13/2010)
“In my opinion, the market is now perfectly positioned for a massive dollar sell-off. The fundamentals for the dollar in 2010 are so much worse than they were in 2008 that it is hard to imagine a reason for people to keep buying once a modicum of political and monetary stability can be restored in Europe. In fact, the euro has recently stabilized. My gut is that the dollar sell-off will be sharp and swift. Once the dollar decisively breaks below last year’s lows, many of the traders who jumped ship in the recent rally will look to re-establish their positions. This will accelerate the dollar’s descent and refocus everyone’s attention back on the financial train-wreck unfolding in the United States. Any doubts about the future of the U.S. dollar should be laid to rest by today’s announcement that San Francisco Federal Reserve President Janet Yellen has been nominated to be Vice Chair of the Fed’s Board of Governors, and thereby a voter on the interest rate-setting, seven-member Open Markets Committee. Ms. Yellen has earned a reputation for being one of the biggest inflation doves among the Fed’s top players.” Schiff is famous for his accurate predictions of the economic events of 2008.
Lindsey Williams
Dollar devalued 30-50% by end of year. It will become very difficult for the average American to afford to buy even food. This was revealed to him through an Illuminati insider.
Unnamed Economist working for US Gov’t (GLP)
What we have experienced the last two years is nothing to what we are going to experience this year. If you have a job now…you may not have it in three to six months. (by August 2010). Stock market will fall = great depression.  Foreign investors stop financing debt = collapse. 6.2 million are about to lose their unemployment.
Jimmy “Doomsday”
DOW will fall below 7,000 before mid summer 2010- Dollar will rise above 95 on the dollar index before mid summer 2010- Gold will bottom out below $800 before mid summer 2010- Silver will bottom out below $10 before mid summer 2010- CA debt implosion will start its major downturn by mid summer and hit crisis mode before Q4 2010- Dollar index will plunge below 65 between Q3 and Q4 2010. Commercial real estate will hit crisis mode in Q4 2010- Over 35 states will be bailed out by end of Q4 2010 by the US tax payer End of Q4 2010 gold will hit $1,600 and silver jump to $35 an oz.

I had a vision of the stock market soar and then crash. After the crash, many big business corporations and private parties bought up stocks because of the low cost to buy in. Then I saw the market begin to climb again in a short period of time. Then it crashed again bringing tremendous loss, ruin and devastation to all who bought in the first time. This is what I have labeled “Two Black Mondays” . The time period between the Two Black Mondays was very close together. I could not tell exactly how close. There are some tell tale signs indicating the season and the setting. I saw the season to be when *”the leaves fall to the ground”* then the first crash would occur.”Like Joseph in Genesis, I believe America will have fat years of financial blessing. I also believe there are coming lean years of financial difficulty for America.  [Note: while this doesn’t give an exact date, this prophecy was dead on accurate-the markets crashed -777 points on MONDAY 9/29/08, roughly 1 week into the FALL (leaves fall to the ground.) The markets then rebounded OVER A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME (from April 2009 to October 2009 the markets rallied nearly 4000 points!) and everyone bought back in. According to this prophecy, the next huge crash will happen on a Monday. Eatmon even accurately predicted the coming ‘fat years’ and the now present ‘lean years’]
Robert Holmes
On October 21, 2008 the Lord said to me (of the global economic crisis): “It will be a dead cat bounce,” meaning it will go down fast, bounce back then fall again. In April 2009, after some growth had taken place, the Lord affirmed, “Don’t get too excited about the market news, it will crash again.” In September 2009, He commented on stock market prices (as measured by the Dow Jones), “It will be a W curve”. Though it will improve through to mid 2010, it will crash again under “the weight of debt”.
Deryn Johnstone (1/25/2010)
“We will experience a worldwide economic upheaval resulting in the collapse of our monetary system. This economic crash will come suddenly, sending shockwaves throughout the world. It will be the opening of the establishment of a new one-world monetary system under a new one-world government. When this worldwide economic disaster hits, it will be unlike anything we have ever experienced. The world will be thrown into a state of shock. Panic and fear will grip the hearts of the people everywhere. They will be confused, not knowing what to do or where to go. During this time, the people of God will be clearly distinguished from the world by God’s supernatural provision in their lives. It will not be the absence of problems and adversity among God’s people that will be a witness to the world, but in the midst of this financial crisis the world will see God’s strong arm of provision for His people.
Robert L
What is going to happen this year? 1. The stock market in America will not only crash, it will no longer exist 2.  The President of the USA will foolishly bring sanctions on the nation of Israel 3. There will be a great earthquake that stretches from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific 4. The greatest fear will be none of these things; it will be the lack of food men will fear most. The sad truth is that even after all these things have taken place in 2010, most will not repent and turn back to God, most will become even more corrupt as we speedily rush toward the end of time.

Here are some signs beginning to come true, due to the weather events, wheat prices are up nearly 70% since June.  There is also a drought impacting Russia and many other areas of Asia and Africa.  The worst in 130 years in Russia.  There is a lot more information in the full article on the potential impact.

We know that in the end times, it will take a day’s labor to buy a day’s worth of food.  It could be brought about either by hyper inflation or food shortages, or a combination.  We are nowhere near that now, but these are birth pains that Jesus mentioned and will continue to progress.

Rev. 6:6 – “Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, “A quart of wheat for a day’s wages, and three quarts of barley for a day’s wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!”

The two articles below site both Wheat and Barley prices rising by 70% and 100%, respectively.

* Price rise comes on top of impact of financial crisis

* Discontent could fuel street unrest

* Middle East, North Africa, Europe seen most at risk

* Much depends on how long price rally lasts

By Peter Apps, Political Risk Correspondent

LONDON, Aug 11 (Reuters) – Rising grain prices from Russia’s drought and fires will pressure populations already hit by the financial crisis and could stoke unrest — particularly in the Middle East, North Africa and parts of Europe. Wheat prices have risen by nearly 70 percent since June after Russia suffered its worst drought in 130 years and are at their highest since 2008, when the last major food price rally sparked protests and riots in a string of emerging nations.

Rising grain prices from Russia’s drought and fires will pressure populations already hit by the financial crisis and could stoke unrest — particularly in the Middle East, North Africa and parts of Europe. Wheat prices have risen by nearly 70 percent since June after Russia suffered its worst drought in 130 years and are at their highest since 2008, when the last major food price rally sparked protests and riots in a string of emerging nations. Analysts warn that if prices stay high then the threat of street violence will increase — at least up to a point

Second Article: Drought doubles price of barley in six weeks

The price of barley, an important feed grain for the European livestock industry, has more than doubled in six weeks in response to the drought affecting Russia and Ukraine, prompting fears of increases in the cost of meat and poultry.  Barley production is also down in the European Union and Canada – two other large exporters – due to bad weather.

The first sentence of this article, struck me of something straight out of the Bible.  “Fire, floods, locusts, and droughts – a combination of crises that could mean higher food prices…”

Wow, just think about that for a moment.

These are the birth pains and will only get worst.  It is leading us to the point of famines and economic conditions where you will work and entire day just for enough food for yourself.  It could be through hyper-inflation or through food shortages, both lead to the same result.

Disasters could push up world food prices

  Posted on » Friday, August 13, 2010

WASHINGTON: Fires, floods, locusts and droughts – a combination of crises that could mean higher food prices around the world over the next 12 months. The US agriculture department will released a report today assessing world grain supplies.

Many analysts expect it will forecast a two-year low for wheat inventories – an estimate that would likely send wheat prices, which have climbed steadily all summer, moving even higher.

Russia, the world’s third-largest wheat exporter, imposed a four-month ban on grain exports last week because of drought. The decision will pull millions of tonnes of wheat out of world markets.

The World Bank has urged other nations not to follow suit, fearing a supply crunch like the one that drove 2008 prices to twice their current levels and prompted food riots in Africa and Asia.

Severe winter frosts and a summer drought have damaged the crop in Ukraine, the world’s sixth-largest exporter, and Kiev is expected to impose its own export ban later this month.

I mentioned this in a post I made yesterday on something that is foreshadowing a Revelations prophecy of one of the seven seals, with the extreme difference in wages between elite and common man.  This really relates to two areas, the collapse of our economy, leading to one world currency and government and the extreme out of balance that will exist during the final days.

I marvel at how anyone can think this is sustainable.  The Federal employees salaries are all paid for by the private sector, and yet we have them making on average double.  That means it takes many, many more people working to support the bureaucracy.

We hear that people today lack common sense, but I suggest that we all still have it, we are just to busy running to and fro to stop, listen, and think about any topic.

To quote the article (the last line):  “Federal compensation has grown 36.9% since 2000 after adjusting for inflation, compared with 8.8% for private workers.”

That is insane!

When I saw this article on drudge this morning, it struck me that this is foreshadowing of what the Tribulation will be like for those that do not turn to God to be saved from it in the rapture.  Tens of thousands of fish washing up dead on the beaches.

In Revelations 8:8-9 – “The second angel sounded his trumpet, and something like a huge mountain, all ablaze, was thrown into the sea.  A third of the sea turned into blood, a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.”

This is the Second Trumpet of the Revelations judgements that will occur during the seven-year tribulation period.  The seven trumpet judgements are between the seven seals and the seven bowls.  We also saw pictures of what it might like to see the sea turn the color of blood during the BP oil spill.  It was amazing to watch as all you could see was this reddish brown color instead of the normal clear blue.

I believe, no matter what caused it, that these are birth pain signs from God to help wake us up and have us turn back to him before the rapture, my blessed hope!

One of the end times prophecy signs is that Israel will become a burdensome stone to the entire world.  All countries will turn against her and God promises all countries that do not support Israel will be judged.  This is also shown in the lead up to the Ezekiel 38 war.

The article talks about how anti-Semitism is worst today than it was in 1910, leading up to World War I.  Who would have imagined that the US would grow cold to Israel, but that is happening with the current administration.  On so many fronts we have not stood with Israel as we have since Israel was reformed in the 1940’s.  For a lot of prophecy scholars, this was one of the two major hurdles that kept them from seeing how far into the end times we had progressed.  Turkey was the other.

As christians, we need to make sure we stand with and support Israel.  They are God’s chosen people, and God promises to bless those that stand with them.

Rev. 6:6 – “Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, “A quart of wheat for a day’s wages, and three quarts of barley for a day’s wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!”

As we near the end times, the separation between the average person and the extremely wealthy will continue to grow.  The economic struggles we are currently experiencing and will continue to experience through the end, is currently driving this divide wider each day.

The above scripture mentions a “quart of wheat” or “three quarts of barley” for a days wage.  In that time, these amounds of grain were considered enough food to feed a single person for a day.  What it is saying is that as things get worst and climax during the tribulation, the common man will be working a full day, just to provide food for himself, let alone his family and children.

The second part of the verse “do not damage the oil and the wine!” represents the wealthy class and the fact that through this they will not be experiencing the same problems of survival.  I believe a lot of these will be the “ruling class”, like it was in Jesus day.  Today, that would be our government officials and workers.

Stats were released today that show the average salary for a public worker is $120k.  In contrast the average salary for a private worker is $60k.  The public worker has officially doubled the pay, on average, of the private worker, who is actually the one paying for the public workers salary.  This will only get worse, today, Obama has requested for 2011 that all public workers get an across the board pay increast of 4.1%.

The article below I believe another good example of how we are trending toward that even today.  Contrast the type of living the public officials have with what your summer vacation plans were.

The Obama presidency increasingly resembles a modern-day Ancien Régime: extravagant and out of touch with the American people from UK Telegraph

What the great French historian Alexis de Tocqueville would make of today’s Obama administration were he alive today is anyone’s guess. But I would wager that the author of L’Ancien Régime and Democracy in America would be less than impressed with the extravagance and arrogance on display among the White House elites that rule America as though they had been handed some divine right to govern with impunity.

It is the kind of impunity that has been highlighted on the world stage this week by Michelle Obama’s hugely costly trip to Spain, which has prompted a New York Post columnist Andrea Tantaros to dub the First Lady a contemporary Marie Antoinette. As The Telegraph reports, while the Obamas are covering their own vacation expenses such as accommodation, the trip may cost US taxpayers as much as $375,000 in terms of secret service security and flight costs on Air Force Two.

It is just a sign that we need to prepare our families for the comming birth pains.  We do not know when Christ will return to rapture His church, so we must prepare and remain watchful, continuing to do His will on earth while we are here.  Make sure you are standing behind Him, and He will protect us.  He has prepared a place for us in heaven and has promised to keep us from the worst, so fret not but prepare.

I would suggest checking out getting stored food for your family.  Check out the sites and then pray about it.  It is amazing the piece of mind it can give you, in these uncertain times.

I found this great article by Jack Kelly on how the Judgments from Revelations could be carried out.  I liked how he pulled in the different purposes of the judgments, with the Seals and Trumpets being meant to wake people up and have them turn to him to be saved.  The Bowls however are purely judgment on those that refuse to repent and turn back to God.  Take a look and check out the rest of his site for other good articles and a solid question / answer section.
