One of the verses of prophecy I have always struggled with is in Ezekiel. It talks about how all of the other countries of the world sit around and watch while Gog/Magog and their allies attack Israel.
Ezekiel 38:13 (NIV) – 13 Sheba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish and all her villages will say to you, “Have you come to plunder? Have you gathered your hordes to loot, to carry off silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods and to seize much plunder?”’
It was always out of my window of perception. But… I know God’s word is without error. My mind would rationalize it as the US must no longer be a power. The rapture must have already occurred, which I believe it will have, but then I watch and read the headlines surrounding this Libyan fiasco, and fiasco may not be harsh enough. And it clicked for me, my window widened a bit, and I can now picture, what it may be like at the beginning of the Ezekiel 38 war. No one wanting to step up, everything driven through the UN or something like it. Committees need to be formed and all countries consulted before action can be taken.
Can you picture it? Does God’s word ring yet even more true? Is God giving us a glimpse to widen our view?
