A pretty common question and an extremely relevant one for those of us that live in the U.S.
JD does a good job this week laying out the where and why.
But having pondered this myself, it just points to how amazing God really is. That He could raise up a nation to be the most successful and powerful in the world in a mere 200 years. One that has aided in spreading God’s Word throughout the world and helping the less fortunate while bringing them the Word of God! It also glorifies God to see how quickly once we moved away from Him as a society things headed south. It really was not us building the nation but God through us and through His blessing. This revelation is why books like “The Harbinger” ring so true in our heart. God’s blessing is important and as soon as you stray and turn from God, the key ingredient in success is removed.
Maranatha, Lord come quickly!

In Romans 10 Paul lays out how salvation is open to all, Jew and Gentile. He writes:
“For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.” – Romans 10:4-5
What he is saying is now it is not about works or how closely to a “T” you follow the law. But that it is through God’s gift of grace through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. It is really that simple, and yet a hard step for some of us.
“That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” – Romans 10:9
Christ is the narrow gate (Matthew 7:13-14), through faith in Him you will be saved. It is the only “works” that God requires for eternal salvation.
