Looks like Ezekiel 38 alliances are strengthening just as the Lord prophesied the puzzle pieces are coming together.

It is breath-taking!  The hour grows late…

Syria, Iran, Russia and China plan joint war games, Iranian news agency says

Iran, Syria, Russia and China are planning the “biggest-ever wargames in the Middle East,” according to an unconfirmed report on the semi-official Iranian news site Fars News. A Syrian official denied the claims.

According to the article, the four countries are preparing 90,000 troops, 400 aircraft and 1,000 tanks for the massive joint maneuvers, which are to take place along the Syrian coast within a month.

The report states that Russian “atomic submarines and warships, aircraft carriers and mine-clearing destroyers as well as Iranian battleships and submarines will also arrive in Syria” and that Egypt has agreed to let 12 Chinese warships cross the Suez Canal for the exercises.

According to Israel Radio, Bouthaina Shaabana, a Syrian official and President Bashar Assad’s special adviser, said the reports about such a drill are “baseless” and false.

The IDF spokesman’s office called the report a “political matter” and declined to comment.

A great commentary by Terry at Rapture Ready’s – Nearing Midnight section.

It is an amazing assessment of what is happening to us, as a nation, as a people… the worlds last great hope?

More stage setting for what is about to come upon this planet…we are indeed nearing midnight.

Catalyst for End-Times Catastrophe

Mark Stein, substituting for radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh, was asked by a caller to the program on Friday, March 23, something like the following: “What do you think is China’s reason for building their military at such a rapid rate? Is it because they think they need to prepare to defend their interests against an attack? Or is it because they intend to attack others in a first strike at some point in the future?”

The British-accented political pundit said he personally senses that China is trying to bankrupt the American economy in much the same way the U.S.–under Ronald Reagan’s presidency—caused the Soviet economy to implode. The twist, Stein implied, is that China is accomplishing the bankrupting process through the debt owed China by this nation. Fully 80 percent of China’s military buildup, he believes, has been funded to this point by the interest on the debt America owes the Chinese communist government.

I have pointed out in this column before that students of Bible prophecy have long wondered about the 200-million-troop army, described as the “kings of the east” in the Revelation 9: 5-16 and 16:12 prophecy. In context of the modern red Chinese army, it has been a longstanding question: How could such a force be outfitted, given China’s weak economic position?

More on the concerns surrounding rare earth minerals that China has almost a monopoly on…

China reassures US on key ‘rare earth’ minerals

Oxides of rare earth metals
Rare earth metals come from China – they are vital for production of a range of electronic items

China has reassured the US it has no intention of withholding “rare earth” minerals from the market, the US Secretary of State has said.

China suspended export of the metals, key to some high-tech industries, to Japan after a diplomatic spat.

The US has pressed China, which has pledged not to use the minerals as a diplomatic weapon, to defuse the row.

Representatives from China and Japan also held informal talks on the fringes of an Asean conference in Vietnam.

More on China’s rare mineral shipment stoppage…

US inquiry into China rare earth shipments

Mini magnets made from chemically processed rare earths are shown in Beijing The 17 different rare earths are found in everything from magnets to hybrid cars and computer monitors

US trade officials say they are looking into a New York Times report that China is blocking shipments of rare earths to the US and Europe.

China mines 97% of the specialist metals crucial to green technology.

The report, citing anonymous industry sources, said Chinese customs officials had broadened export restrictions.

Meanwhile China’s commerce ministry has denied a report by the official China Daily that it will cut quotas by 30% next year to stop overmining.

“The report is completely false,” the ministry said in a statement.

“China will continue to supply rare earths to the world, and at the same time, to protect usable resources and sustainable development, China will also continue to impose restrictive measures on exploration, production and import and export of rare earths.”

US delays China ‘currency manipulator’ report

yuan notes Countries including the US have accused China of keeping the yuan artificially low

The US government has delayed a report – which was expected on Friday – that could officially brand China a “currency manipulator”.

The US Treasury releases two reports a year on the currency practices of its major trading partners.

It has so far held back from naming China. The report is not now expected until after an upcoming G20 summit.

China said the US should not use the weak yuan as a “scapegoat” for its own economic problems.

Our relationship with our #1 debt holder is becoming very tense, this is one of the key relationships that could trigger a rapid decline in our economic state.  If they decide to dump our debt, it would crash our dollar, and start a long chain of dominos…something to keep your eye on.  Could this be the reason we do not see America in end times prophecy?

China warns US against making yuan dispute a ‘scapegoat’ for a flagging economy

China has again warned the US not to use the dispute over the value of the Chinese currency, the yuan, as a “scapegoat” for its high unemployment and flagging growth prospects.

The remarks from China’s ministry of commerce came hours before the US was due to release a report on whether it considers China a “currency manipulator” as fears grow that tensions over the currency could lead to a protectionist trade war.

China Hold on Metals Worries Washington

WASHINGTON—China’s control of a key minerals market has U.S. military thinkers and policy makers alike worried about access to materials that are essential for 21st-century technology like smartphones—and smart bombs.

The concern over supplies of so-called rare-earth elements was highlighted this week by a report that Chinese customs officials had blocked exports of the materials to Japan. On Thursday, Beijing denied those reports. “China doesn’t block rare-earth exports to Japan,” said Chen Rongkai, a spokesman for China’s Ministry of Commerce.

At issue is a group of 17 metallic elements with magnetic properties suited for high-tech applications such as computer hard drives and digital cameras. Rare-earth elements are also key to “green” technology: Energy-efficient light bulbs use europium and yttrium, while hybrid car batteries and wind-power turbines use neodymium.

While rare-earth ore deposits are found around the globe, China’s dominance in mining and processing the elements has raised alarms in Washington. According to an April 2010 Government Accountability Office report, China now produces approximately 97% of the world’s rare-earth oxides, the raw materials that can be further refined into metals (more…)

A few days ago I posted an article on China’s warning to the approach outlined below.

They warned on to get into a trade dispute or question their yuan policies.

These two articles show the rock and a hard place we find ourselves in by being so over leveraged (in debt) with China.  If they continue on this course it will be “interesting” (no good results) to see what China’s response will be.

We could be witnessing the initial trigger that kills the dollar and plunges us into hyper-inflation.

Which opens the door to one world currency and one world government…

Geithner Steps up China Yuan Policy Criticism

U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner sharpened his criticism of China’s exchange rate policies, saying the yuan was strengthening too slowly and that he will look for new ways to get Beijing to move faster.

In testimony released on Wednesday and prepared for U.S. lawmakers considering a tough new trade law, Geithner called on China to allow “significant, sustained appreciation over time” and for the yuan to “fully reflect market forces.”
