Below are two articles that really hit at the root of what we are seeing done to our once great nation.
The current administration is gutting it and we are turning into a modern-day version of Rome. Where the “republic” was for show only, the citizens were too “distracted” with daily pleasure, and an emperor or elite oligarchy ruled the land.
We really are seeing a combination of 1984 and Atlas Shrugged play out in real life. If you haven’t had a chance to read those recently, you might consider it. (If you don’t feel like tackling the 1000+ pages of Atlas, the two recently released movies are excellent summaries.)
One of the biggest excuses I get from people when I talk about us loosing our freedoms, is that our military would never turn on our citizens, there are too many God-fearing members in positions of authority and with strong moral compasses.
Well the below two articles show exactly how that is changing. They are driving the religious and moral members out. With the repeal of don’t ask, don’t tell and the persecution of Christianity, what type of military will we have in 2-3 years? Notice the openness of the activity that is driving the persecution and the penalty. It is insane and goes against everything we were founded on. A man should never have to give up his faith to serve his country.
You pair this with previous articles on how the Gangs are infiltrating our military ranks, how male on male attacks have increased and are making up the majority of the sexual harassment complaints, and the extreme growth of the TSA/Homeland Security through contractors, we have two extreme cases for how our own military could turn on segments of our citizens.
It is sickening to even think of it. We must get support for these honorable men and women that are volunteering and sacrificing to protect us and the freedoms we still enjoy.
God Bless our brothers and sisters in the military and stand strong for your beliefs. Remember, we are not of this world, but our home is with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the next.

Rep. John Fleming (R-LA) passed an amendment in the House Armed Services Committee protecting religious speech of service members in the military. President Barack Obama has now threatened to veto the bill if it passes the full House and Senate.

A Midwestern lawmaker is calling on his colleagues in Congress to offer cover to an Army soldier under fire for his conservative political views and religious faith, and accusing the Obama administration of “creating a tyrannical culture of political correctness in the military.”

In Romans 10 Paul lays out how salvation is open to all, Jew and Gentile. He writes:
“For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.” – Romans 10:4-5
What he is saying is now it is not about works or how closely to a “T” you follow the law. But that it is through God’s gift of grace through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. It is really that simple, and yet a hard step for some of us.
“That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” – Romans 10:9
Christ is the narrow gate (Matthew 7:13-14), through faith in Him you will be saved. It is the only “works” that God requires for eternal salvation.
