John 14:6

New American Standard Bible (NASB)

Jesus *said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.

He did not say He is “a” way or “a” truth, or “a” life.  No he was very emphatic about who He is and God has been very clear on what His name is, the reverence we should give it, and the power it holds!

Moses understood this. When he encountered the call of God that came from the burning bush, Moses asked God, “If I come to the people of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ what shall I say to them?” (Ex. 3:13, ESV). God answered Moses, “I Am Who I Am” (v. 14). God told Moses, “Say this to the people of Israel, ‘The Lord, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’ This is my name forever, and thus I am to be remembered throughout all generations” (v. 15).

Oh how far we have all fallen.  Very good article, be sure to read it entirely…

Maranatha, Lord come quickly!

Do Christians and Muslims Serve the Same God?

Does God care what we call Him? Do Muslims and Christians worship the same God? These are questions many Christians are asking these days, and for good reason.

For some time now, feminist theologians and a host of others have suggested that Christians should adopt new names for God. One denomination went so far as to affirm names like “Giver, Gift and Giving” in place of “Father, Son and Holy Spirit” to be used in worship. Feminist theologians have demanded that masculine pronouns and names for God be replaced with female or gender-neutral terms. But to change the name of God is to redefine the God we reference. Changing the name of God is no small matter.

As a matter of fact, God takes His name very seriously, and the Ten Commandments include the command that we must not take the name of the Lord in vain. We are to use the names God has given for Himself, and we are to recognize that God takes His name seriously because He desires to be rightly known by His human creatures. We cannot truly know Him if we do not even know His name.

14). God told Moses, “Say this to the people of Israel, (more…)

Another great short movie on Salvation from livingwater ministries…

Christ said I am the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father accept through me.

We are all sinners in need of a Savior, not one good.  And we can not save ourselves…

Only Christ Jesus!

John 14:6

New American Standard Bible (NASB)

Jesus *said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.

In Romans 10 Paul lays out how salvation is open to all, Jew and Gentile.  He writes:

“For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.” – Romans 10:4-5

What he is saying is now it is not about works or how closely to a “T” you follow the law.  But that it is through God’s gift of grace through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ.  It is really that simple, and yet a hard step for some of us.

“That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” – Romans 10:9

Christ is the narrow gate (Matthew 7:13-14), through faith in Him you will be saved.  It is the only “works” that God requires for eternal salvation.

JD did an amazing job this week breaking down some of the amazing UN speeches we heard.

It was amazing to hear how much prophecy was echoed in what they are saying.  Our Presidents speech was especially chilling given what we know of prophecy.

I agree whole heartily with JD warning for what is in-store if the Lord tarries.  If they manage to pass the UN resolution – Defamation of Religion, Christians are going to be directly impacted due to our core beliefs (John 14:6).

John 14:6

New King James Version (NKJV)

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

More interfaith events in the news.  These have really been picking up steam.

They are setting the stage and preparing the way for one world religion, based on tolerance and acceptance of all.

It will frame salvation as accessible via multiple paths with Jesus Christ as a way, instead of the Truth.

That Jesus Christ is The Way, The Truth, and The life.  Only through Him can we receive salvation.

Those that believe this though will be painted as extremists and intolerant, in some cases it is already happening…

John 14:6 (NIV) – “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
