Posts Tagged ‘lead bullets’

I couldn’t believe it when I read these two articles.

The first one brought a tear to my eye.  My beloved incandescent light bulbs are officially kaput after Jan. 1st.

That is right, our benevolent government has decided that to save on power consumption (save the environment), we should all switch to fluorescent light bulbs CFL’s which contain the deadly poison, mercury.   Enough mercury that you are directed to by law have an $4-6k hazmat clean up if you break one in your home.  Bulbs that we are supposed to dispose of at a special disposal site, not you household trashcan.  That is better for the environment than a little more power consumption?  How often do we think that will actually happen?

BUT…

We can no longer use led bullets, because of lead poisoning dangers to the environment.  Instead, we are going to use copper, which is a much scarcer resource than lead and will be much more expensive.  Have you seen all of the copper theft stories in the news the last few years?

So Lead is worst than mercury?  Do we really think more bullets will end up in the trash than light bulbs?

Common sense is dead, the world is upside down and deception is around every corner, just as Christ said it would be.

On a positive note, we do still have a few bright folks left.  Larry Birnbaum has invented a new legal version of the incandescent light bulb: Newcandescent.  I included a link below as well.  Genius!

Maranatha, Lord come quickly!

In Romans 10 Paul lays out how salvation is open to all, Jew and Gentile.  He writes:

“For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.” – Romans 10:4-5

What he is saying is now it is not about works or how closely to a “T” you follow the law.  But that it is through God’s gift of grace through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ.  It is really that simple, and yet a hard step for some of us.

“That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” – Romans 10:9

Christ is the narrow gate (Matthew 7:13-14), through faith in Him you will be saved.  It is the only “works” that God requires for eternal salvation.

It is The Gospel of Jesus Christ.  To learn more check out the following link.
