Wonderful article partially listed and linked below, shows how deep the word of God is. I am always impressed with how deep His message is for us, like the author states with 2 or 3 meanings as you study His word. It is such a blessing that He has preserved it through out the ages and we can read it today, just like those living in the days of the disciples.

‘You can’t unsee it!’: Mind-blowing double and triple meaning in 1 resurrection verse

‘We only need to connect the dots with the rest of the Bible’

As millions of believers commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, they may be stunned to learn one of the most famous Bible verses dealing with the event is actually packing additional, hidden meanings that make the episode even more spectacular.

This according to a Christian author who is shining the light on the hidden content of Scripture.

The line in question is from the beginning of the 20th chapter of the Gospel of John where it states: “On the first day of the week Mary Magdalene came to the tomb early, while it was still dark. She saw that the stone had been removed from the tomb” (John 20:1 CSB).

“On the physical level, most people already understand what’s happening in this passage,” says Joe Kovacs, author of the new best-seller, “Reaching God Speed: Unlocking the Secret Broadcast Revealing the Mystery of Everything.”

“There’s a believing woman in the person of Mary Magdalene arriving at the tomb of Jesus early Sunday morning and she sees the rock had been removed from the tomb.

Is eternal life available for mankind thanks to Jesus?Yes No

“But when we open our spiritual eyes to see and ears to hear, this verse is broadcasting a mind-blowing double and triple meaning that sums up the phenomenal message of the Scripture in one single sentence. Once you understand it, you can’t unsee it!”

Kovacs says the sentence to focus on is: “She saw that the stone had been removed from the tomb.”

“Beyond the physical event that everyone already understands, there is a Spirit-based parable message being aired here, and to grasp its meaning, we only need to connect the dots with the rest of the Bible. It’s actually quite easy and fun to do.”

“Let’s start with the stone. We all know what a stone is. It’s a rock. And who famously is called a rock as well as a stone in the Bible? Yes, it’s Jesus Himself!”

Just a few of the verses calling Jesus a rock or stone include:

Kovacs says the second word to focus on is “tomb.”

“We all know what a tomb is. It’s a grave. It’s where dead people are,” the author says. “And interestingly, Jesus even likens PEOPLE to tombs at times, especially when He’s talking to hypocrites.”

As He said: “You are like whitewashed tombs, which appear beautiful on the outside, but inside are full of the bones of the dead and every kind of impurity” (Matthew 23:27 CSB).

Kovacs says: “On the parable level using God’s Spirit, tombs represent evil people. Even the apostle Paul calls our body of flesh the ‘body of death’” (Romans 7:24 NKJV).

“Even though we think we’re alive, unless and until we come to God, we’re actually the walking dead, and Jesus called people that when He said, ‘let the dead bury their dead'” (Matthew 8:22).

“So let’s connect the dots now. When Mary saw the stone had been removed from the tomb, this is simply another way of saying that Jesus Himself had been removed from the tomb, as in resurrected from the dead! The stone or rock removed from the tomb ultimately refers to Jesus taken away not only from His gravesite but also from His body of death!

“To drive this point home, the very next verse of the Bible has Mary uttering these words confirming the thought: ‘They’ve taken the Lord out of the tomb’ (John 20:2 CSB).

“So yes, there’s a secondary meaning in addition to the physical one of merely seeing a solid rock removed from the grave. It is the Ultimate Rock, Jesus, being removed from the tomb. But if that’s not enough to astonish you, there’s a third meaning as well.”

The author, known for his “Shocked by the Bible” series, says not only do stones and rocks represent God Himself, they can also represent human people.

“Those who read the Bible know it’s no secret that Jesus called Simon His apostle ‘Peter,’ a word meaning ‘stone‘ or ‘rock,” says Kovacs. “And this stone called Peter can represent all believers who repent of their sins to follow God and feed the sheep, as he was famously told to do in John 21:17.

“Scripture also refers to all believing people as ‘living stones’ in 1 Peter 2:5.

“Even in the story of David and Goliath, the shepherd took ‘smooth stones’ (1 Samuel 17:40) as the weapon to defeat the evil giant, because we the believers are, on the metaphoric level, the fearless smooth stones prepared and polished by God to take on and defeat the evil giant, who is none other than Satan the devil.”

“So let’s again connect the dots from the Gospel of John, keeping in mind that God often is ‘declaring the end from the beginning’ (Isaiah 46:10 KJV). When the verse says ‘the stone had been removed from the tomb,’ this is also a prophecy for the future for all people who come to follow God. Because we ourselves are the stones that will be removed from our own personal tomb, our body of death, our grave of perishing flesh. Like Jesus, we will be removed from our grave when we are resurrected from the dead and granted everlasting life!”

“Yes, folks. One single verse from the Bible that we’ve been reading all these years is broadcasting so much more than has ever been trumpeted. It’s so much more than just a physical stone being removed from the tomb. It is about the spiritual Rock Jesus being removed the grave 2,000 years ago, as well as all of His other stones, the faithful believers, eventually being removed from our temporary tombs in which we walk around every day.

“With ears to hear, the glorious conclusion for your life is no longer hidden. So when we hear someone say, ‘He is risen’ (Matthew 28:6), it’s not just directly referring to Jesus rising from the dead, it’s also alluding to the wondrous immortality for every single person who truly follows Him in order to get out of his or her own tomb.”

Could this be the hook in the mouth that Ezekiel 38 mentions that would draw Russia join with Iran and others to attach Israel to take spoils (and prevent the building of this competing pipeline)? Is this the reason that Russia has not used its best equipment and troops to invade Ukraine?

10 ‘This is what the Lord God says: “It will come about on that day, that thoughts will come into your mind and you will devise an evil plan, 11 and you will say, ‘I will go up against the land of unwalled villages. I will go against those who are at rest, who live securely, all of them living without walls and having no bars or gates, 12 to capture spoils and to seize plunder, to turn your hand against the ruins that are now inhabited, and against the people who are gathered from the nations, who have acquired livestock and goods, who live at the center of the world.’

Good article laying out the basics of the politics surrounding energy supply in Europe, Israel, & Russia.

AS RUSSIA-UKRAINE WAR CONTINUES, ISRAEL COULD CAPITALIZE ON EUROPE’S ENERGY CRISIS

Rettig doesn’t entirely blame renewables for Europe’s energy problems. He said Europe’s record-high energy prices last year were mainly caused by Russia. Russia was asked to increase its gas output and refused, demanding that Nord Stream 2—a pipeline that crosses the Baltic Sea to Germany—first be approved.

“That’s what got prices soaring,” he said.

Rettig said the lesson to be learned from the Europeans is that energy security comes from “diversity and diversity alone. You can’t be too dependent on just a single country, even if it’s your friend at that time.”

Dubi argued that Israel should contribute to Europe’s energy diversity by supplying it with natural gas. He advocates restarting the EastMed pipeline project, a proposed 1,300-mile pipeline—1,000 miles of which would be undersea—from the Levantine Basin and making landfall at Cyprus, Greece and Italy. The project was halted when the Biden administration pulled its support.

It has been a while since I posted. My original purpose that God led me to create this blog was to raise awareness to all of the headlines coming at us that were related to Bible prophecy and the soon return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. By the time we hit the end of 2018, you would of had to be completely blind to not see all of the prophecy stage setting and fulfillment all around us daily, if not hourly. There was so much that you simply could not keep up with all of it so I backed away from trying to keep up with it all and simply took in the amazing speed of events along with everyone else.

Now in 2022, after reading Terry James article on April 4th, copied and linked below, I feel a new urging from God. I truly believe we very soon see the return of Christ for his followers in the Rapture. We all need to double down on leading people to Christ and His gift of salvation. But also lay the seeds for those that will be left behind, so that they can know the Truth in this world of deception we will leave behind!

This commentary/article by Terry is very well done and gives a concise comparison between the pre-Tribulation and post-tribulation views with God’s word, Truth.

Thief in the Night

By

Terry James

No scriptural proof-text in God’s Word more clearly points to the first of the two phases of Jesus Christ’s second coming than does the following: “For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night” (1 Thess. 5:2).

We who hold to the pre-trib rapture viewpoint are often accused of being deceivers. We are condemned by our detractors as leading astray Christians alive now –if they live to see it–  who will be required to endure the tribulation, thus to wash their robes clean in preparation for inheriting God’s Kingdom.

We are castigated for foisting upon innocent, gullible believers a “secret rapture” that will somehow lead these Christians to take the mark of the beast (Rev. 13:16-18).

I’m not precisely sure of their “reasoning,” but I think they claim this because they are convinced that the ones who fall for the rapture viewpoint won’t be able to recognize Antichrist when he comes to power. We who teach the pre-trib rapture, so the accusation goes, would have falsely led these people to think the Church would not be here when Antichrist is on the world scene.

Almost all who are antagonistic to the pre-trib rapture doctrine teach that the “elect” will have to endure part or all of the seven-year tribulation era.

Those who hold to a post-tribulation rapture, or a no-rapture position, believe that Christ will come back at the end of the tribulation, at Armageddon.

They hold to the notion that that is His only return in the second coming. There are other views of the second coming that have Christ returning when the earth is perfected and made ready, but we won’t go there in this essay.

Let us look at only the pre-trib rapture and the post-trib rapture positions for the purpose of exploring what is meant by the “thief in the night” references in 1 Thessalonians 5:2 and 2 Peter 3:10.

These two viewpoints–the pre-trib, and the post-trib–offer the greatest contrast to examine in consideration of the second advent of Jesus Christ, within the overall belief that rapture will, according to Bible prophecy, happen before Christ’s foot actually touches down on Planet Earth.

The pre-trib view of rapture says that Christ’s second coming is in two phases, separated by at least seven years. The post-trib rapture view says that the rapture and Christ’s coming back to the Mount of Olives will occur almost simultaneously–certainly with no more than a matter of days separating the two events. The post-trib position says there is no “secret” rapture. Christ’s coming again will be fully seen in the heavens by all, including Christians who will be watching for Him to break through the darkness of that hour.

We agree that the rapture of the Church (all born-again believers in Jesus Christ for salvation since the Church Age began at Pentecost) will be anything but a “secret”. The world will instantly go into cataclysmic chaos at the moment that stunning event takes place. The imagination is hard-pressed to fathom the ramifications of what will happen when millions suddenly vanish. Every child below the age of accountability will be gone in that mind-boggling instant of time. I am convinced that all babies (including those in the wombs of their mothers) will be instantly in the presence of Christ in the clouds of glory. Every corpse of every dead Christian will be raised to join with his or her soul to meet Christ in the air in that atomos of time.

The rapture will be mystifying, and to some an inexplicable phenomenon, but it will not be a secret. It will happen before the eyes of a stupefied planet of left-behind earth-dwellers. This declaration that Jesus will call His Church to be with Him seems audacious to many. But, it didn’t seem so to the Apostle Paul. He was quite confident–even adamant—in his prophecy concerning the “mystery” he had been given by the Holy Spirit to instruct all believers down through the Age of Grace (Church Age).

“Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed” (1 Cor. 15:51-52).

He explains what will take place next, in that stupendous fraction of a second: “For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord” (1 Thess. 4:15-17).

Jesus himself told of this “mystery” Paul refers to in 1 Corinthians 15:51. The Lord explains what happens after believers –both the bodies of the dead and those who are living– are caught up in the air to be with Him: “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also” (Jn. 14:1-3).

So, the rapture will take place. Believers and the bodies of those who died during the Church Age will be “caught up” in one single moment of time. “ALL,” not “some,” will go instantly to be with Jesus, who will then take them into heaven, where He has been preparing their dwelling places since He ascended from the Mount of Olives.

Again, the pre-trib position on this joyous event is that it is imminent (could happen at any moment), and will happen before the tribulation period begins.

The post-trib position says that it happens at the end of the most terrible time in human history, just as Jesus Christ is returning from heaven at Armageddon.

The pre-trib view holds that it will occur at an unknown time. It will be a stunning, sudden, and unannounced-to-the-world-at-large break-in upon business as usual on Planet Earth. The post-trib proclaims that it will occur following all of the horrors of the judgments outlined in Revelation.

The pre-trib view says that the world at large (left-behind earth-dwellers) won’t see it coming. The rapture will cause all left on earth to wonder what has happened. The post-trib view says that all eyes will behold Christ’s coming again to a hellish planet, and the living and dead saints will then be gathered to Christ.

The defining thing to consider in thinking on the two diametrically different views of the rapture and second coming is wrapped up in the term “thief in the night”. The Apostle Peter again uses this mysterious term, first used by Paul in 1 Thessalonians 5:2: “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up” (2 Pet. 3:10).

Peter is saying here that the day of the Lord–that time when God and His Christ, His Son, takes over this fallen planet—will begin like a thief in the night.

It will be a sudden, catastrophic break-in upon a world doing business as usual. (Read Luke 17:26-29 to understand how things will be going along as usual when Christ comes back.)

This description hardly fits the post-trib view, or any other view that says Christ will rapture His Church during a time of unprecedented trouble (Jer. 30:7; Matt. 24:21). This indicates that it will be a total surprise, because a thief in the night doesn’t announce his coming with great, cataclysmic fanfare.

The break-in is swift, stealthy–a totally unexpected event.

Peter foretells in these passages that the “day of the Lord” will then run its course, until the remaking of the heavens and the earth. The rapture will begin this “day of the Lord,” which will then run at least 1,007 years.

This is the first phase of Christ’s second coming. The rapture occurs like a “thief in the night”. The second advent, when Jesus’ foot touches down on the Mount of Olives, is the second phase of His second coming.

There are those who say with vehemence that it is blasphemous to equate Christ’s coming again as being like the break-in of a thief in the night. How dare we liken their Lord to a “thief”!

Really? Here’s what Jesus, the Creator of all things, said about this matter:

“But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh” (Matt. 24:43-44).

Looks like a pretty good case for the Lord’s sudden intervention into the nefarious affairs of this increasingly wicked world, does it not? That thief-in-the-night

moment could happen, literally, at any moment. Certainly, signals of the tribulation are beginning to come to pass.

“And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh” (Lk. 21:28).

Great commentary on our one source of Truth in this fallen world.  Grant does an excellent job asking the question and laying out the case.

The only thing I would add, is that if you are new in your faith or just starting to look into this “Christian” thing.  As Grant (and Paul) says the whole Bible is valuable for teaching & instruction but I would suggest you start with the Gospel of John (John), then move to Romans, followed by Matthew.  It will get you started in a very manageable way on your path to Salvation and/or a stronger faith based on Truth!

Is The Bible True Or Not? :: By Grant Phillips

Why is it so hard for some people to believe the Bible? The Bible is the Word of God delivered to mankind through men set apart by God to deliver His message. The Spirit of God spoke through these writers, using their own personalities, to deliver the divine message to mankind. Yet, so many people from all walks of life simply cannot believe its words are from God, but instead consider it to be composed of the opinions of the writers, fables and fairy tales. Few today consider the Bible, in its entirety to be the absolute inerrant (incapable of being wrong) Word from Almighty God (in the original languages). God informs mankind through the apostle Paul:

“All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16) [“Inspired” means literally “God-breathed.” Every word comes from God.]

“Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words. But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. But he who is spiritual appraises all things, yet he himself is appraised by no one. For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD, THAT HE WILL INSTRUCT HIM? But we have the mind of Christ.” (1 Corinthians 2:12-16)

How does the true Christian “have the mind of Christ?” The true Christian has “the mind of Christ” by the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit within us. He/she also “has the mind of Christ” in the Bible we hold in our hands. To the unbeliever it is just a book, but to the believer it is a book that contains the words of God.

Apostasy from within…

Matt Ward put together a great article on Rapture Ready about a trend he has been tracking over the last two years or so.  It is a lengthy article but worth ready till then end.  I have felt the same “Schism” forming as well as the new negative connotation of being a “fundamentalist” or “evangelical”.

It reminds me of one of the letters from Jesus to the churches in Revelations when he says “…for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.”

Revelation 3:7-8 New King James Version (NKJV)

“And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, ‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens”: “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.

Which also reminds me of the next letter and a wording nuance within the NKJV to the “Church of the Laodiceans”, not the “Church in” but “of”, that is why later in verse 20 He says “I stand at the door and knock…” its not His church but theirs.

Revelation 3:14-15 New King James Version (NKJV)

14 “And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, ‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: 15 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot.

Read his entire article, he really gets to the heart of the matter summarizing the true issue and how opposite it seems to the words our dying world needs to hear like:

The pertinent issues now are not salvation issues, or issues related to sin or repentance, and certainly not anything to do with eschatology or the imminent end times, but LGBTQ+ issues, immigration issues and family border-separation issues. It is about the “evils” of white-dominated evangelical Protestantism; it is about helping the poor. It is about social justice, the feel-good gospel of salvation through works, not faith. These are the issues that count – not sin, repentance, the love of God for a desperately lost world, or the quite obviously approaching time of His wrath.

Schism :: By Matt Ward

Modern-day Christianity seems to be approaching a point of no return. There appears to be a concerted effort, long since underway but now rapidly speeding up, which has the very specific aim of delegitimizing biblical Christianity. Much of these efforts are coming from within the church.

Men and women we once perceived as being Christian brothers and sisters, now seem to view themselves as traditional Christianity’s greatest enemy. Christianity, as we have known it, would seem to be on the brink of schism.

If you are a Christian who holds a literal view of the interpretation of scripture, and especially if you hold to a futurist, pre-tribulation view of eschatology, then you find yourself dead center in the crosshairs of a movement that is becoming increasingly vitriolic. You are also very much in the minority. The acrimony, the bitter and caustic attacks, are not even hidden or shrouded anymore; they are out in the open for all to see.

These are, I know, harsh words. Yet I have stood back and watched patiently over the last two years; and what I have seen has with equal measure surprised and shocked me. I waited and waited before writing this article, as I wanted to be absolutely sure that what I was witnessing was not just a momentary spasm of anger or frustration. I wanted to be sure that what was emerging was a new fixed pattern of behavior.

Several articles this week from the Rapture Ready news feed and Articles on how close we are to shifting momentum in our nation.

We have seen it front and center encroaching over the last 10-15 years, the rise of socialism in our nation, as we lost our education system, much of our religious institutions, and dare I say much of the population to government dependency.  Looking back, our nation is so different than when I was growing up.  But though we have ceded ground, have we crossed the point of irrecoverably?  How close are we?  And what does that mean for the freedoms we have taken for granted: freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of thought, freedom of property rights, and to protect ourselves?

Persecution of Christians in America? :: By Geri Ungurean

This article is not going to make me very popular, but I MUST speak truth!

After writing my article on China and how Xi Jinping is burning Bibles, tearing down churches and demanding that Christians denounce Jesus Christ, I received this in an email from one of my readers.  I asked in the article: ‘Could this be us in the near future?’

In Romans 10 Paul lays out how salvation is open to all, Jew and Gentile.  He writes:

“For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.” – Romans 10:4-5

What he is saying is now it is not about works or how closely to a “T” you follow the law.  But that it is through God’s gift of grace through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ.  It is really that simple, and yet a hard step for some of us.

“That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” – Romans 10:9

Christ is the narrow gate (Matthew 7:13-14), through faith in Him you will be saved.  It is the only “works” that God requires for eternal salvation.

It is The Gospel of Jesus Christ.  To learn more check out the following link.

Replacement Theology is a dangerous road.  God is not through with the Jews, we have not been through the final week of Daniel’s prophecy.

As quoted in the article as rebuttal:

Matthew 5:17-19, Jesus says: “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”

We are in dark times indeed of deception, and false teachings.  If you read the article, you can see how some would be deceived if they are not well grounded in God’s Word from His book.  It is presented as a logical, rational argument, but simply untrue.  We must confirm everything in God’s Word, the Bible.  Not in books, commentaries or eloquent sermons.

The Death of Journalism

The nation’s news media has had a leftist bias much longer than I’ve been here on planet Earth. For decades, the press would only gently put its thumb on the scale to slightly give its side an advantage in news coverage. Over the past couple years, we have seen a complete meltdown of all objective news standards.

I’ve seen the change at our local Planet Fitness gym. Up on the ceiling, they have a long row of TVs that have CNN and MSNBC spaced out every seventh TV. As I work out, I’ve noticed that two liberal channels are almost always talking about President Trump. There seem to be three phases in the reporting:

The first phase was all the bad things he did in the past. They dug out all of Trump’s bad business deals. Anyone who lost money investing with him was given camera time.

The Second phase was all the harmful things he is currently doing. It doesn’t matter how good the economy is doing right now. The press has found the people who have been left behind by the so-called Trump boom.

The third phase is pure delusion-thinking, where the imagination is the only limit on Trump’s “evil nature.” For example: Joe Scarborough on 9/11 said, “Trump is damaging the dream of America more than any terrorist attack ever could.” He has helped lower black unemployment to record low levels, and still he is regularly described as the most racist president to ever hold office.

It is amazing at how resourceful the liberal media has become in making every event into a test of Trump skills as President. In the run up to Hurricane Florence’s landfall, the press focused on Trump’s ability to manage the coming disaster. The hurricane was still 700 miles out at sea, and the press was only interested in setting things up so that any loss of life would mean Trump had failed in his duty.

The greatest indication that true journalism is dead in America is the willingness to sacrifice truth in order to create a new narrative. When a news story is found to be in error, it has long been vitally important to publish a correction.

CNN was recently caught in a lie when it reported that lawyer Lanny Davis had told them that Michael Cohen, Trump’s longtime personal lawyer, claimed he was willing to tell special counsel Robert Mueller that then-candidate Trump knew in advance about the June 2016 meeting in Trump Tower. When Lanny Davis admitted this was not true, CNN refused to back down, saying, “CNN stands by its story.” Going forward, CNN will make up their own version of the news and then cherry pick the facts to establish it.

The credibility of NBC has been called into question over its handling of Ronan Farrow’s Harvey Weinstein story. NBC had claimed that, when Farrow came to them with the story, he didn’t have anyone willing to go on record with the allegations. Farrow eventually took the story to The New Yorker and published it there. He won a Pulitzer Prize for his work. We now learn from NBC producers that Farrow had Rose McGowan as an eager witness. NBC killed the story and lied about it, most likely because it feared Weinstein may have dirt on brass at NBC.

In case there was any doubt about the meltdown of journalism, is the left bringing Dan Rather back from exile? Rather comes on TV and says, “The president of the United States is not the descendant of some Sun god” and “He is basically saying he is above the law.” In a series of online posts, Mr. Rather tells people “how to protect yourself from fake news,” which of course all comes from conservative sites.

Rather was one of television’s most prominent journalists, putting in nearly 24 years at CBS. But in the eyes of some viewers, he is remembered for his discredited story in 2004 that claimed, using clearly folly documents, that President George W. Bush made efforts to avoid service in Vietnam. After being fired from his anchor job, he left CBS the next year. What has allowed Dan Rather to crawl back into the news limelight is that the field of journalism has declined to the level he reached in 2004.

The complete madness of the liberal media is a strong indication of how close we are to the rapture event. Since they will be doing Satan’s bidding during the tribulation hour, their total readiness to serve in the ultimate delusion means that time is short.

“And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness” (2 Thessalonians 2:11-12).

Dissecting Christ’s Declaration on Noah’s Day

No matter how intensively I try to look in other directions these days for issues and events of possible prophetic portent, inner prompting brings me back to Matthew 24: 32-42.

Jesus’ words resound more powerfully in spiritually attuned ears than any other to be found in God’s Holy Scripture. Thus, things to be considered in the Lord’s Olivet declaration must have more relevance for these days in which we live than many seminaries will acknowledge.

Most of these bastions of higher learning put forth that the prophecies in Matthew 24 were given almost exclusively for the Jews of Christ’s physical time on earth. I completely dismiss that notion. I believe issues and events that unfold minute by minute around this generation continue to bring to light stage-setting for fulfillment given by the Lord in this profoundly important section of His prophetic teaching.

In my estimation–as those who read these commentaries know–we have come to the specific point on God’s prophetic timeline that Jesus foretold. We are, I believe, in the time He described: “As it was in the days of Noah…and of Lot.”

My own contemplation of things going on today and prophetic Scripture likely relevant to the very end of the Church Age (Age of Grace) has me carefully reconsidering Jesus words in that Olivet Discourse prophecy–His words about the “days of Noah” in particular. Let us look at them together yet again. We will look at the entire prophecy as Jesus gave it to us, recorded in Matthew 24:

24:32Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: 24:33So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. 24:34Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. 24:35Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Seminary thinking on this, for the most part, has it that Jesus was speaking exclusively of the sons of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in referring to “this generation.” They dismiss that He was prophesying about the generation of people of the earth in general. The seminaries have it that the Lord was saying the Jewish race would not pass away. “Israel will not be eliminated by any foe” is one of the most common seminary takes on this prophecy.

I believe Jesus was prophesying that when Israel begins to become a nation that observably affects the rest of the world at the end of the age,  the consummation of human history will be profoundly underway. The Tribulation, Armageddon, and His Second Advent (Revelation 19:11) would then rapidly be fulfilled.

The Lord then stamped His omnipotent signature on the guarantee of its coming to pass:

Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

What follows these words by the Lord of all creation sends chill bumps–I should say “thrill bumps”through yours truly.

Jesus next gives us a precise look at what precedes this total consummation of human history that includes Antichrist, the worst time in history (the Tribulation),  His Second Advent at Armageddon, and the entire Millennial era! He next says the following:

24:36But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

The Lord is, I believe, here referring back to His Words: 24:33″So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.”

He then goes in-depth in explaining what is meant by His Words “it is near, even at the doors. 24:37But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”

Jesus is talking about His coming back to planet earth. He has already said it will be at a time that only the Father knows. This precludes His Second Advent, which will be a time that can be precisely calculated, according to Scripture.

Again, Jesus indicated that no one can know the precise time of His coming. But He then tells us exactly what the time of this arrival will look like from a cultural/societal and particularly an economic standpoint–this right up until judgment falls:

24:38For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 24:39And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

To look more deeply into the circumstances prevalent at this prophesied time, we go to the Words of Jesus as recorded in the Gospel of Luke:

17:26And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. 17:27They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. 17:28Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; 17:29But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. 17:30Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

Next we go back again to Jesus’ words recorded in Matthew chapter 24 to see exactly what will happen when He again “reveals” Himself in a catastrophic manner:

24:40Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 24:41Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

And we look again at the Gospel of Luke to get further enlightenment from the Lord:

17:34I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. 17:35Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 17:36Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

Those who dispute that this is referring to the Rapture say that those taken here are taken for judgment and wrath, not to a place of safety. But Greek words here indicate the opposite. Those taken are taken to safety and those left behind are left for judgment. I haven’t the space here to do a Greek word study to prove my contention. I will simply give the word used here by Jesus in defining the matter of those taken.

Paralambanó, if I have spelled it correctly, is the same word Jesus uses in John 14:2-3–“I will come and receive you.”

“Receive” and “taken” use the same word–paralambanó: I will receive you unto myself, for where I am, there ye may be also.”

This is the Rapture!

We are in a “think-not” time, that is for certain. The Body of Christ–the Church–for the most part, has its collective attention turned away from God’ will. Worldly pursuits are the order of the day, both within the church edifices and within the lives of too many believers. All other issues and events scream through our hourly news feeds that  stage setting for fulfillment of Bible prophecy is in every direction one looks.

Israel is front and center–the fig tree that has been putting forth it leaves since May 14, 1948.

Financial experts say, and the facts show, that America is entering a time of economic boom, not bust. (Even though the fiscal laws of gravity are being defied by all rational ways of analyzing the matters involved.) The world follows the almighty dollar, so, many believe, a world economic boom may soon follow. Jesus predicted just such a time in His “days of Noah and of Lot” prophecy.

The Lord made the analogy of His next intervention into man’s history as being like the break-in of a thief in the night.  He wrapped up this account of this first phase of His Second Coming with this sobering exhortation for Christians who will be living when the Rapture occurs:

Matthew 24:42Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. 24:43But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. 24:44Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

Very interesting video, worth the look.  It always amazes me (it shouldn’t) that claims against God’s word and the Biblical world view always seem to be dis-proven once the truth surfaces through solid research, archeological finds, or scientific discoveries.

More than 20 religious leaders participated in a ceremony to “bless” a new Planned Parenthood clinic in Washington, D.C., calling the abortion facility a “sacred work.”
If this is not Isaiah 5:20 I do not know what is.

Isaiah 5:20 (NASB)

20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness;
Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!

There is also a strong delusion present in their logic.  Look at this quote below from the article.

“In almost every message to our staff, I talk about our doing sacred work,” Dr. Laura Meyers, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington, told DCist.com. “This confirms the sacredness of the work we do.”

So because you include the words “sacred works” in your messages to staff that confirms the sacredness?  It’s delusional.  Right and wrong, good and evil, are not based on our opinions.  They are measured against God’s Word, His standard, which is set in stone and unmovable.

I might also point out that “sacred works” can be performed for both sides of the spiritual war we are in and that these “works” belong to a different master, one that is tied to this fallen world and destined to be cast into the pit of fire.

I would highly recommend you reading the full article on WND or Rapture Ready as it is very well done.

Sharyl Attkisson spotted the fake news trend long before it became a recent catchphrase. And she doesn’t portray it, as do many in the mainstream media, as some right-wing conspiracy. In fact, Attkisson told WND she often sees the mainstream media as prime culprits when they push suspect stories.

Can I Change?

By Grant Phillips

How many times have those who really want to change their attitude and mental lifestyle asked themselves that question? How many times have we tried over and over to be a better person? Even many who do not know Jesus as their own personal Savior would like to be better than what they are. Unless we are a narcissist with an ego problem we want to be kinder, more loving, more patient … just a better person than what we see in the mirror.

We cannot change ourselves, at least for the long-term. Why is that? Could it be because the change needs to take place in an area of our being that only God can ‘fix?’ Legitimate change must be from the heart of man, and only God can change a heart.

Those without Jesus as Savior must come to Him first, in order for any change to be made that is worthwhile. Millions try to accomplish this on their own, or they serve the many gods of this world hoping for a change, but it never comes. All need to come to Jesus in child-like faith to be born again, trusting Him and Him only. Those who do that are on the road to an exciting new life.

Peace fills the vacuum of fear, and fear is no more. Hate and indifference is replaced with Godly love. Does this happen overnight? No, not while in these earthly bodies, but the transformation begins immediately. Jesus takes up residence in the new born-again believer by His Spirit and strengthens our spirit. He nourishes it and guides it along the right path, and we grow a little each day. The change, the permanent change, is taking shape. One day when we’re with Him in Heaven, the change will be complete.

What about Christians, true Christians that have become stale? Why aren’t they feeling the warmth of God’s presence? Maybe they have stepped away from the heat source.

I was raised in an era that heat for our home in the winter months came from something called a fireplace. Generally speaking, fireplaces today are a luxury item. Back then they were a necessity of keeping warm or freezing to death. I remember many times I had to go out in the cold and refill the coal bucket with coal for the fireplace and the pot-bellied stove. One lesson I learned early on was this; when I was near the fire, I stayed warm, but when I moved away from the fire, I got cold. Hmmmm. Profound, isn’t it? Maybe to change our life for the better we just need to draw closer to the heat source, the fire.

Many Christians today are wandering away from the heat source that their spirits need for warmth. Growth is stagnated because cold, especially extreme cold freezes everything into place. Read of the seven churches in Revelation chapters 2-3 and notice how many had grown cold in heart because they were away from the fire and embracing the cold flagpole of rebellion against God.

How can we, as children of God who need a new direction in life, return to the warmth of our Savior’s embrace? I’ve said this a thousand times (figuratively), but I must repeat again that the Lord has given us very important tools for growth. They are (1) the Holy Spirit the moment we are saved, (2) His Word, the Bible, (3) prayer, and (4) the fellowship of other Christians. If we do not make use of these, we get cold, but when they are a serious part of our everyday life, we stay warm and cozy in His presence.

Jesus made it clear in many Scripture passages that He would not leave us alone to flounder on our own. Following is just one example.

“If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever—the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.” (John 14:15-21 NIV)

So, can we change? Not on our own, but we can be changed by the working of Almighty God in our lives. We just need to do what He says and trust Him. Are you afraid of failing? Don’t be. I fail all the time, but our God never fails, and that, is what we must depend on. Call on Him, and He will make a change you’ll cherish forever.

COMMENTARY: Why do we need the Electoral College?

By Jeff Backer, MN State Rep., Browns Valley, MN

We have just experienced an election when the popular vote went to Clinton while the Electoral College votes went to Trump. This outcome has happened four times before and should not be regarded as a first-time event in our nation’s history. The outcry is that the election is somehow rigged. However, our presidential election process was set up to accomplish exactly what happened. Here’s why:

When the Constitution was being framed, several smaller states would not sign on to it because they justifiably felt the more populated larger states would be in control of all legislation. In effect, the small states would be out voted and have no voice in the government. It was not until the “Great Compromise,” authored by Roger Sherman, that the smaller states joined the United States.

The Great Compromise created the House of Representatives and the Senate in the Legislative branch. The House seats were based on population; the more people in the states, the more representatives in the House. The Senate was based on each state having two senators no matter the size of the state or its population. The Senate provided a check on the power of large and heavily populated states. If a bill the smaller states did not like passed the House, they had a very good chance it could be defeated in the Senate. Finally, unless both the House and Senate agreed upon a bill it could not be passed and sent to the president.

The Electoral College is based on the same principle. Each state elects its choice for president. The Electoral College votes are equal to the number of representatives and senators each state has. For example, Minnesota has eight congressional seats and two senators. Therefore, it has 10 electoral votes. The Electoral College members are supposed to support the popular election results of each state. While not absolutely bound to this outcome, it is justifiably assumed that they will vote with the will of the people.

If you take a look at the United States election results county by county, it is obvious that except for several pockets of blue in the densely populated urban areas, most of the nation is red. If the Electoral College were not in place, all these red counties would be out voted by a relative handful of blue urban counties. That is not fair representation for the whole nation. In fact, if the Electoral College were not in place, the only places for a candidate to spend a lot of time campaigning would be in the most populated counties. The popular vote would be all that mattered since it would govern the country.

The Midwest, including “blue” Minnesota, would rarely if ever get much attention from presidential candidates. All of the “flyover country” between the two coasts would simply be ignored by presidential campaigns because the number of their votes really would not matter much in the final result.

Only the Electoral College ensures that the more sparsely populated states will have a real say in the outcome of a presidential election. And this is why the founding fathers wisely put the Electoral College in the Constitution. Eliminating it would be at our own peril.

The truth is out there, you just have to be open to it, and it may be a little harder to find these days with the state of our media.  I try to keep politics out of this blog but when I saw this article I just had to share as it is the plain truth.  I do not know about you but I get so frustrated these days by people putting down and name calling on our founding fathers and the republic they installed for us.  I am absolutely certain it was God inspired and has since its inception allowed us the freedom to spread His word and values to many world-wide.  It has been a light in this dark world for a long time but has started to flicker lately.

Recently, what has gotten under my skin a little is the criticism of the electoral college system we have in place.  It is such an important part of our republic system and something that tends to be hard to understand or explain.  The article below does such an amazing job showing why it is needed that I had to share with all of you.  It worked for us as a nation, yet again, and the truth of why is explained below.  Enjoy!

The Founding Fathers got it right, and California is proof

By James E. Campbell

Shocked and appalled by the prospect of a Donald Trump presidency, some supporters of Hillary Clinton have turned to minimizing and even delegitimizing Trump’s election. In an era of severe political polarization, in an election with two candidates seen from the outset in highly unfavorable terms, after the most brutal campaign in modern history, and with an outcome that astonished just about everyone, these reactions are understandable, but wrong.

Many die-hard Clinton supporters cannot bring themselves to believe their candidate could lose to Donald Trump. They think: How could such a crude and inept con man be elected president? Even after it has happened, it is unthinkable, a nightmare. So, the election must not have been fair.

Those on the fringe raise the specter of diabolical Russians hacking away at our democracy. More grounded Clintonians have less malevolent boogeymen — our Founding Fathers. As they see it, the election’s outcome should be blamed on a dysfunctional and archaic electoral vote system. Hillary won the national popular vote. She should be president. It is as simple as that. The Electoral College should go the way of Trump University.

They are right about one thing: Hillary did win the national popular vote. As votes continued to trickle in three weeks after Election Day, Clinton received 50.9% of the two-party vote to 49.1% for Trump. With about 135 million votes counted, Clinton has 2.3 million more votes than Trump.

Yet Clinton has only 232 electoral votes (in 20 states plus Washington, D.C.) to Trump’s 306 (in 30 states plus one from Maine), making him the president-elect. So Trump’s election without a popular-vote plurality is regarded as an injustice. Some Democrats claim a moral victory as victims of an electoral vote system that once again horribly “misfired.” Their claim, however, neglects two facts.

First, had the election been conducted with rules awarding the presidency to the popular-vote winner, the candidates and many voters quite probably would have acted very differently and the popular vote would not have been the same. Trump and Clinton would have campaigned in the “safe” states. Potential voters in those states would have felt more pressure to turn out and to vote for “the lesser of two evils” and not to waste their votes on third-party candidates. Some additional Clinton voters would probably have shown up, but gains on the Trump side would probably have been larger as more reluctant Republicans would have been pushed to return to the fold, particularly in big blue states like California, New York, and Illinois.

In short, a comparison of the national popular vote as cast and the electoral vote division is no simple matter. This is particularly true in our age of pervasive polling in which people should have a good idea about whether they live in a state where their presidential vote might make a difference.

Second, Clinton’s 2.3-million-popular-vote plurality over Trump depends on the votes in a single state: California. Clinton has more than a 4-million-vote plurality over Trump there. In the other 49 states plus the District of Columbia, Trump actually has a 1.7-million-popular-vote plurality over Clinton. So California single-handedly turns a Trump plurality into a Clinton plurality.

The electoral vote system in 2016 (as in 2000, when George W. Bush became president despite losing the national popular vote) functioned as its defenders have long claimed. It prevented a single region (in this instance, a single state) from overruling the verdict of the more populous and diverse nation.

Donald Trump’s election is difficult for many Americans to accept, but there is no good reason to question its democratic legitimacy. For better or worse, Trump won the presidency by constitutional and sensible democratic rules that guided both campaigns and were known to any politically conscious citizen. He also won the national popular vote cast outside of the single state of California. Moreover, Clinton won all of California’s 55 electoral votes despite the fact that 4.3 million of the state’s voters voted for Trump. That big winner-take-all advantage for California’s Democrats and Clinton was certainly felt, but it wasn’t enough to override her losses in many other states.

Under our electoral vote system, American voters elected a national president, not California’s choice. It is in the nation’s interest for Democratic Party’s leaders and for Clinton voters to fully recognize the legitimacy of the election as they had urged Trump to do after the third presidential debate.

The Electoral College system worked as it should. It did not “misfire.” The election’s outcomes were ultimately about what Americans wanted and what they did not want—not about electoral mechanics.

This subtle below the radar war on Christianity and freedom to express our Christian views is in some ways so much more dangerous and evil then the blatant and shocking images we see of our brothers and sisters in Christ being persecuted and killed across the middle east.  It is more evil because it lets so many of us continue to sleep and remain ignorant, willfully or un-willfully, which is a death sentence in and of itself for some, for as the hour grows late, chances to receive Christ are measured as well for the non-believers.  The faith and belief is so strong in our foreign brothers and sisters in Christ.  And yet we are allowed to slumber, drunk on what this world has to offer, transfixed on the trivial when there is work to be done for Christ.  I too struggle with this and fight my battles daily to take up my cross for Christ, being unashamed of the Gospel.  We need to wake up.  Christ warned us of the hazards of the night watchman falling asleep while on watch or getting distracted with the things of this world.

Ask yourself this simple question that I ask myself each day:  Are you of this world, or just passing through this world?  Said another way:  Are we assimilated to this world or are we just occupying until his imminent return?

Some days I like my answer to that question, some days I do not.  But keep up the fight brothers and sisters, and help wake up those around us.

I so deeply appreciate brother Todd Starnes for doing his part to keep us aware and alert.

Gay bureaucrat wages war with Christian ministry

Donald Trump may be the next president of the United States but the war on religious liberty rages on.

The other day I received word that Connecticut’s openly gay comptroller is targeting American Family Association, one of the nation’s most prominent and respected Christian ministries.

If Comptroller Kevin Lembo has his way, AFA could be kicked out of the Connecticut State Employees’ Campaign for Charitable Giving (CSEC) — even though they are qualified as a charity under the rules.Lembo sent AFA a letter accusing them possibly being in “violation of the regulations governing the Connecticut State Employee Campaign for Charitable Giving that broadly prohibit discrimination.”

He specifically mentioned AFA’s petition to boycott Target over its transgender bathroom policies, and ministry statements regarding traditional marriage.

“These actions and statements are extremely troubling to me — not only as an openly gay father and spouse — but as administrator of CSEC,” he wrote. “The AFA’s statements and mission not only appear to discriminate against the LGBTQ communities, as well as Muslims who choose to serve and protect our country by enlisting in the military, but it remains unclear what actual charitable services the AFA provides that qualifies it to participate in the CSEC. I am, therefore, initiating an investigation to determine whether AFA is in compliance with the requirements of the CSEC. (Click here to read the comptroller’s full letter.)

If Lembo follows through on his threats, it would mean state employees would not be able to contribute to AFA through the program, AFA president Tim Wildmon says.

“This is a state government official coming directly after your AFA, and the letter is nothing more than an attack on AFA for standing strong for biblical principles,” Wildmon said. “Moreover, it is an unconstitutional attack on the First Amendment rights of all religious organizations. The government is not allowed to dictate to religious charities what they can believe in order to participate in the public square.”

AFA general counsel Abraham Hamilton III, minced no words in his interpretation of the state comptroller’s investigation.

“What’s being foisted upon the American Family Association is the latest iteration of ‘If you don’t adhere to the nouveaux orthodoxy of the day – which is the sexual deviancy agenda – then you must be castigated and expelled from public life,‘” he tells OneNewsNow.

First Liberty Institute attorney Hiram Sasser accused Lembo of abusing the power of his office.

“It is surprising that a government would still be so bold as to engage in clearly unconstitutional religious viewpoint discrimination,” Sasser told me. “He is abusing his office by inappropriately using it to advance his own personal agenda and it is really disturbing.”

And to be perfectly blunt, these types of attacks by far-left bureaucrats are why Donald Trump won the presidency.

“This issue … really brings into focus why a lot of people supported Donald Trump as opposed to Hillary Clinton,” Hamilton told OneNewsNow. ”People feared the federal government – more specifically the IRS or the Department of Justice – being used as means of cultural and societal intimidation.”

Does it feel like we keep inching toward fulfillment of God’s word?  It does to me and I think to anyone else that studies prophecy, God’s word, as well.

It is pretty amazing that there was already a law on the books that allowed for the “involuntary” implanting of a tracking device into individuals at the Attorney Generals direction.  Doesn’t it make you stop and think with all the laws on the books, what could be lying dormant?  What makes this law so dangerous is the human minds ability to rationalize any situation to being just in his own eyes.  Our society is in such an “ends justify the means” mentality right now that this is a very slippery slope.  Given the right crisis, all bets are off.  The good news is that God tells his followers we will not have to endure this as it will be enacted by the man of lawlessness after we have been raptured to be with our Lord and Savior.  The hour is late for this world.

Bill Would Allow Government to Locate People With Tracking Devices

Measure intended to protect people with disabilities who have wandered away

BY:
December 11, 2016 5:00 am

A bill meant to help those with developmental disabilities would allow government agencies to locate people with tracking devices, which has some concerned the measure gives the federal government too much authority and power.

In 2008, Kevin Curtis Wills, a 9-year-old boy with autism, jumped into a river near a park and drowned. In 2014, a 14-year-old boy with autism, Avonte Oquendo, left his school and drowned in a river.

Rep. Chris Smith (R., N.J.), who chairs the Congressional Autism Caucus and the Alzheimer’s Disease Task Force, introduced a bill called Kevin and Avonte’s Law, otherwise known as H.R. 4919, in an attempt to prevent these types of accidents from happening.

The legislation would permit the Justice Department to award grants to law enforcement agencies and non-profits for training and tracking devices to find individuals with autism or seniors with Alzheimer’s who have wandered away.

“We all empathize with a parent who learns that their child is missing, including and especially when that child has autism or another developmental disability,” Smith said. “When children with a disability or seniors with Alzheimer’s do wander, time and training are essential to ensure their safe return.”

The bill would reauthorize the Missing Alzheimer’s Disease Patient Alert Program for five years and annually fund it for $2 million. The program would be expanded to include children with autism and renamed as the Missing Americans Alert Program.

The bill has garnered the support of Democrats who say it would promote public safety and address the critical need of being able to locate these individuals.

However, some are concerned the measure goes too far. The bill’s original language authorized the Attorney General to insert tracking chips into individuals involuntarily.

“It is almost too absurd to believe that it is true, but the House Judiciary Committee is considering H.R. 4919 that would allow for the Attorney General to authorize tracking chips to be inserted involuntarily into people who are incapacitated with Alzheimer’s and other fatal dementias,” said Rick Manning, the president of Americans for Limited Government, at the time.

According to a staffer who is familiar with the legislation, the language in the bill has been changed to ensure that tracking devices are not invasive or permanent, and would be voluntary. The government would also be prevented from making a database. The attorney general would still be able to decide who could receive these tracking devices and would have access to the data.

“The new language calls for ‘non-invasive and non-permanent types of tracking devices,’” said Robert Romano, senior editor of Americans for Limited Government. “But that is still not good enough. There shouldn’t be any bill, because there shouldn’t be a program, no matter how well-intentioned, overseen by the attorney general electronically tracking people in this manner.”

“The legislation still represents vast overreach by the federal government as none of this is necessary, when individuals, families and doctors can decide to use such non-invasive products on their own, like Angel Sense, under individual, limited circumstances when it is medically necessary to track patients who many become lost due to a lack of mental capacity,” Romano said.

So imagine my surprise, when both my pastors (local and online), preached this week on Spiritual warfare, I think God is laying this on out hearts and wants us to join the battle through prayer.  Great update from JD this week, on what we are seeing and what we need to turn out attention to.

Some notes and highlights:

8 min mark – Attack on teaching whole counsel of the word of God.  Bible Prophecy, teaching too much, stop teaching Ezekiel 38 (heaven forbid!!)

17 min mark – Mocking of the coming (2 Peter 3:3-10)

20 min mark – Clean of all blood on my hands (Acts 20:26-28) Because he preached the Word.

21 min mark – Not put up with sound doctrine (2 Timothy 3:16-4:5) – “Preach the Word”

26 min mark – Be a Faithful Watchman

27 min mark – Israel’s top govt official encouraging all Jews to read through the entire bible.

29 min mark – Joel Rosenberg – Why pastors are not teaching Bible Prophecy?

  1. Lack in belief in the power of God’s Word
  2. Lack of training in Bible Prophecy
  3. Fear of being lumped in with prophecy nuts
  4. Because lack of understanding of the times we live in (2 Peter 3)

Mathew 24 – 2 servant example – when master delayed His return.

38 min mark – Prophecies that are already underway or near fulfillment

Isaiah 17 – about to be fulfilled

Isaiah 19 – is being fulfilled right now

Ezekiel 38-39 – about to be fulfilled

Rapture could happen any hour, when you see these things begin to come to pass, look up, your redemption draws neigh.

Great, string of topics and very relevant today…

Obama Fumes as Netanyahu Schools Him on Real Peace

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the weekend uploaded another YouTube video, this time taking at the assertion (most often made by the Obama Administration) that the presence of Jews in Judea and Samaria (the so-called West Bank) is an obstacle to peace.

“I am perplexed by this notion,” stated Netanyahu, “because no one would suggest that the two million Arabs living inside Israel are an obstacle to peace. Because they aren’t.”

Netanyahu also turned the tables on the “ethnic cleansing” charge, noting that the only side trying to ethnically cleanse anything is the Palestinian leadership, which demands a state free of Jews.

While the prime minister only vaguely referenced “some enlightened nations” who are unfortunately backing this “outrageous” demand, he very clearly had the United States in mind as he asked, “Would you accept ethnic cleansing in your state? A territory without Jews, which Hispanics, without Blacks?”

The connection was not lost on the Obama White House.

“We obviously strongly disagree with the characterization that those who oppose settlement activity or view it as an obstacle to peace are somehow calling for ethnic cleansing of Jews from the West Bank,” US State Department spokeswoman Elizabeth Trudeau told reporters.

Trudeau added that what she called Netanyahu’s “inappropriate and unhelpful” remarks are the current topic of (probably heated) discussion with the Israeli government.

As a former Eagle Scout the caving of the BSA to the politically correct crowd was very disheartening.  It is good to see that there is a good alternative presenting it self that will be true to the roots of scouting.  I as well discontinued my support and membership when they took the wide path.  I just wish I could have had as good a response as Robert Knight’s son:

He noted that his son, who earned his Eagle badge just before the Scouts caved, had not renewed his membership. In response to a BSA letter asking why, he sent a three-word reply: “You weren’t brave.”

Scouting life beyond Boy Scouts of America

By Robert Knight – – Sunday, September 11, 2016

ANALYSIS/OPINION:

Under the radar, near a campfire, a counter-cultural force is rising.

Only three years old, Trail Life USA, the Christian answer to the politically correct Boy Scouts of America, is operating 700 troops in 48 states, with nearly 30,000 troop members. It’s still small compared to the BSA, which began in 1910 and claims more than two million members. But Trail Life could be on the verge of far more growth as the culture descends into madness and parents seek a haven for their impressionable sons.

Chartered in 2013, shortly after the Scouts held a Soviet version of a national delegates vote to open their ranks to openly homosexual boys, Trail Life is modeled after the American Heritage Girls.

That’s the group founded in Ohio in 1995 by former Girl Scout leader Patti Garibay, who left the cookie-selling empire in disgust after they embraced their inner liberal selves, slipping feminist ideology into materials and allowing the girls to redefine God in the oath any way they wanted.

I was a Boy Scout myself for many years, reaching the Eagle rank. We recited the Scout Oath and meant it. I take their betrayal quite personally. Today, if we had a son the right age, we’d enroll him in Trail Life USA, where he’d get Scouting-type adventure plus appreciation for not only Creation but its Creator.

Trail Life, for which Mrs. Garibay was an adviser, took off rapidly. In the first year or two, half of the troops comprised former Scout troops sponsored by churches or home schoolers that broke away after the Scouts chose political correctness over being “morally straight.”

God Governs the Globalists

I wrote some years ago for one of my books a chapter I titled “Globalism’s Siren Song.” The chapter began as follows:

Come, young citizens of the world, we are one, we are one.
Come, young citizens of the world, we are one, we are one.
We have one hope, we have one dream, and with one voice we
sing: Peace, prosperity, and love for all mankind.

The lyrics are set to an enchanting, rhythmic melody and are sung by a chorus of sweet-voiced children. Soon you are humming, then singing along. What could possibly be wrong with those sentiments so innocently expressed? Peace, prosperity, and love for all mankind-are these not among the most noble of objectives?

Powerful humanistic allurements beckon seductively, promising a golden future if all of earth’s people will come together as one. Such a glorious world order, long dreamed about and even fervently pursued, seems at last achievable. Those who hold the worldview that national boundaries must fall and sovereignties must diminish because we are all citizens of planet earth passionately embrace the earth shrinking technologies that science continues to produce. For example, the Internet. Yes, the Utopian dream at last seems achievable. However, while the sirens of globalism – like the twin sisters who lured unwary sailors to their deaths in Homer’s The Odyssey -sing their lovely, mesmerizing songs of New World Order, the words pronounced by the Ancient of Days reverberate through the corridors of antiquity and leap at this generation from the pages of God’s Holy Word:

Behold, the people are one and they have all one language, and this they begin to do; and now nothing will be restrained from them which they have imagined to do (Genesis 11:6).

One world order was at the time of that chapter’s writing a strong factor to consider in looking at where the world stood on God’s prophetic timeline. Like for most of the latter Continue Reading »

Ephesians 6:12 (NASB)

12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.

JD lays out a great comparison between our current times and the days of Sodom (~13 min mark).  He also goes into some of the stunning events we have seen this summer.  The contrast is stunning for those that have opened their eyes and are seeking.

We also need the reminder that we are “In it, not of it”.

Romans 12:2 (NASB)

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

You know you’re of the world if you put your hope in this world. – JD

Very well said!

This is a very telling truth and one we need to constantly guard against and check ourselves.

John 15:18-25 (NASB)

Disciples’ Relation to the World

18 “If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you. 19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you. 20 Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A slave is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word, they will keep yours also. 21 But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know the One who sent Me. 22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin. 23 He who hates Me hates My Father also. 24 If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would not have sin; but now they have both seen and hated Me and My Father as well. 25 But they have done this to fulfill the word that is written in their Law, ‘They hated Me without a cause.’

It’s a miracle! Hollywood finally tells a great Bible story

Risen movie image

Let’s be honest. Hollywood does not exactly have the best track record when it comes to producing accurate faith-based movies. Remember the giant rock creatures from “Noah”?

So when I heard that Sony Pictures was about to release a faith-based film called “Risen”, I was a bit skeptical. Typically faith-based movies are faith-bashing movies.

Click here to get Todd’s American Dispatch – a must-read for conservatives.

And when “Risen” earned three-and-a-half stars from the left wingers at the Seattle Times, I was incredulous.

But when I saw the film’s trailer, I was astonished – Hollywood got it right.

“Risen” is a powerful telling of the aftermath of the resurrection of Jesus told from the perspective of a non-believer – a Roman military officer.

Joseph Fiennes plays Clavius, assigned to investigate the disappearance of Jesus’ body. It’s like an old school detective noir story – think C.S.I. Jerusalem.

PODCAST: Listen to Todd’s interview with “Risen” star Joseph Fiennes.

“It’s a movie that sees the resurrection through the eyes of a non-believer,” Fiennes told me. “It’s a wonderful, fresh way in seeing the story of Christ unfold through the eyes of a skeptic.”

Fiennes is well aware of Hollywood’s past attempts to bring Bible stories to the big screen. Anybody choke on their popcorn during “Noah” and “Exodus: God and Kings”?

The ever-diplomatic Fiennes did not name names, but he did refer to “revisionist films” that “polarized a lot of people.” On the other hand there are the cinephiles who took issue with “preachy and conservative and low production value Christian films” that did not speak to them.

That’s why Affirm Films and Sony Pictures went the extra mile to make sure they got “Risen” right.

“We strived very hard in getting the balance between cinema and Scripture,” Fiennes said. “Working with the church communities in the process of making the film has allowed us to stay as true as possible to Scripture.”

At the same time, they were also tasked with producing a solid work of art.

“It’s a film and we want people to have a great cinematic experience,” Fiennes told me.

In other words – it’s a night at the movies – not a Sunday morning church service.

“We are not selling religion or pushing religion,” he said. “We are pushing for great cinema and great story telling and I believe we got the balance right.”

And so do many evangelical Christian leaders – most notably revered media critic Ted Baehr, chairman of the Christian Film and Television Commission.

“It is a very powerful dramatic movie,” Baehr said in a video posted on his website. “It’s a powerful heart-rending story. I recommend it for every Christian to take their friends to see Risen.”

The film was also endorsed by a group of prominent Christian leaders and ministers.

“It’s a movie that makes you think,” said Chris Williamson, pastor of Strong Tower Bible Church. “It’s not your typical Christian-themed movie – even though it’s dominated with Christian themes. If you are an atheist, a new believer, an unbeliever – I think you can find yourself in this film.”

Renowned Christian leader Rick White attended a screening of the film in Tennessee. He said the film demonstrates that “it’s okay to ask the hard questions” on your spiritual journey.

Mr. Fiennes and Affirm Films and Sony Pictures have demonstrated a deep respect for the Christian faith. And in doing, so they have produced a film that will encourage and challenge and entertain a very diverse audience.

So as a fellow believer, I’d like to share these words with Sony Pictures — thank you.

He is Risen. He is Risen Indeed!

The truth these days seem to have me shaking my head and muttering the old saying “sad but true”.

It is not only that so may are turning away from God but so may of the “believers” are illiterate about their faith.

We all should to know why we believe what we believe.  That is part of having faith and it is the difference between faith and blind faith.  You may not know what lies ahead but you know why you have faith in our God and his plan for each of our lives.  He lays it out for you over and over in His Word, the Bible.  All you have to do is take the time to read it and spend some time in prayer asking Him for understanding.  The more you do it, the more it will come alive.

It is the only way you will not be deceived, by knowing the Truth, the word of God.

Remember, the darker it gets, the brighter and farther our little light shines!

Maranatha, Lord come quickly!

Why are so many Christians biblically illiterate?

Emblematic of the Bible’s declining influence is what Harper Lee penned in her 1960 novel “To Kill a Mockingbird,” in which the character Miss Maudie says, “Sometimes the Bible in the hand of one man is worse than a whiskey bottle in the hand of [another].”

Most Christians know enough about the Bible to be dangerous.

The Bible in America is a massive industry ($2.5 billion) yet it is the best seller few read and fewer understand.

The Bible has become a moving target. One can strip it down, twist it, misread it, add to it, supplement it, and even overrule it, and, unfortunately, 95 percent of the congregation will not realize it.

Why? Because Americans no longer know the Bible. The evidence is overpowering that contemporary Christianity is Bible-ish, at best, and at worst, in some cases, Bible-less.

The American Bible Society releases an annual State of the Bible report and their research is persuasive in understanding the declining influence of the Bible in America.

Everyone has an opinion about the Bible. Politicians attempt to use the Bible, Grammy-award winners quote it and Hollywood has portrayed it on the big screen.

Yet one problem remains: most are oblivious to the Bible’s basic content, meaning, and message.

Across the pond, the results are even more dramatic: one-third of British parents thought Harry Potter was a thematic plotline derived from the Bible.

The Bible is not held in the esteem it once was. Over the last 150 years, America has drifted from its Biblical focus. In an election season, it is remarkable to recall that, though he was not a member of any church, the Bible was valued as an authority in America so much so that Abraham Lincoln quoted from it four strategic times in his second inaugural address on March 4, 1865. President Lincoln used words ascribed to Jesus in Matthew 18:7 and – using the Bible — pronounced God’s judgment on our nation for her moral bankruptcy of slavery.

The unwillingness of many Americans to dig deeper into the Scriptures is not related to a lack of options. The Gideons give away a Bible every second. One publisher sells more than sixty different editions of the Bible.

Clearly, the challenge of biblical illiteracy in America is not because of a shortage of Bibles, but rather knowledge and appreciation of the Bible’s message.

The Bible is a diverse love story. Actually, it is the greatest break-up-and-get-back together story the world has ever known.

The message of the Bible is that even though we are not what we should be, God loves us, redeems us, and has a purpose for our lives.

A tremendously exciting new initiative is underway to re-introduce the world to the Bible.

In 2017 the six-floor 430,000-square-foot Museum of the Bible will open only two blocks from the National Mall in Washington D.C. The Museum of the Bible invites all people – those with faith and those without – to engage with the Bible in an immersive experience with its unique history, narrative and influence.

Once one encounters the story of the Bible’s history and preservation, the cost that was involved — and it was a terrible cost — one can never again open the Scriptures with the same detached, careless attitude.

The story of how the Bible has come to us is a tale of heroism, courage, persecution, betrayal and towering faith in a God who raises the dead, mixed through the centuries with the blood of martyrs. If 80 percent of Americans believe the Bible is “God’s word,” shouldn’t we show the Bible some respect by knowing more about it?
