UNITED NATIONS – President Obama’s speech to the opening session of the United Nations’ 70th General Assembly on Monday drew considerable attention, but most Americans likely were unaware of a speech he gave the previous day to the same world body in which he affirmed America’s commitment to a controversial, utopian plan to “transform” the world.

As many focused on week three of the National Football League season Sunday, Obama spoke with little fanfare to the closing session of the United Nations Sustainable Development Summit that was convened Sept. 25-27 as a high-level plenary meeting of the General Assembly.

The U.S. and the 192 other U.N. members unanimously adopted the “2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development,” a plan to “end poverty, fight inequality and injustice, and tackle climate change by 2030.”

It’s a plan some critics call a “blueprint for global governance.” As WND reported, Agenda 2030 is seen as a “reboot” of the controversial Agenda 21 plan, adopted in 1992, which the U.N. has described as a “comprehensive plan of action to be taken globally, nationally and locally by organizations of the United Nations system, governments and major groups, in every area in which human impacts on the environment.”

“And so, today, we commit ourselves to new Sustainable Development Goals, including our goal of ending extreme poverty in our world,” Obama told the U.N. meeting Sunday, committing the United States to Agenda 2030. “We do so understanding how difficult the task may be. We suffer no illusions of the challenges ahead. But we understand this is something that we must commit ourselves to.”

Also receiving little attention was the fact that when Pope Francis spoke to the United Nations on Friday, his speech served as the opening address to the 2030 Agenda summit.

In introducing the pope, U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon said, “Your visit today coincides with the adoption of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.”

“This message of [‘Laudato Si’] is critical as we approach the pivotal climate change conference in Paris in December,” Ban continued. “Across the global agenda, His Holiness is a resounding voice of conscience. He has cried out for compassion for the world’s refugees and migrants, and solidarity with people trapped in conflict and poverty.”

What is Agenda 2030?

The U.N. Agenda 2030 is derived from the global body’s previous Agenda 21, which introduced the idea of “sustainable development” in the context of environmental issues. It was adopted at the United Nation Conference on Environment and Development, known widely as the “Earth Summit,” held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1992.

The new U.N. global framework, presented under the title “Transforming Our World: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development,” broadly expands Agenda 21 into 17 goals and 169 targets.

It’s lofty aims, among others, are to wipe out poverty among and between nations, end hunger, fight global economic inequality, achieve gender equality and curb climate change.

A United Nations statement at the end of the Agenda 2030 plenary session on Sunday called it a “bold new global agenda to end poverty by 2030 and pursue a sustainable future.”

The historic adoption of Agenda 2030 “was met with a thunderous standing ovation,” U.N. statement noted.

“Ushering in a new era of national action and international cooperation, the new agenda commits every country to take an array of actions that would not only address the root causes of poverty, but would also increase economic growth and prosperity and meet people’s health, education and social needs, while protecting the environment,” the U.N. said.

Pope Francis echoes Agenda 2030

In the first words publicly spoken during his recent visit to the United States, at the White House, Pope Francis chose the topic of climate change.

“Mr. President, I find it encouraging that you are proposing an initiative for reducing air pollution,” the pope said. “Accepting the urgency, it seems clear to me also that climate change is a problem which can no longer be left to our future generation.

“When it comes to the care of our common home, we are living at a critical moment of history,” the pope continued in his White House speech. “We still have time to make the change needed to bring about a sustainable and integral development, for we know that things can change.”

The pope’s remarks echo the language of Article 59 in the U.N. “Declaration” on Agenda 2030, which says, “We reaffirm that planet Earth and its ecosystems are our common home and that ‘Mother Earth’ is a common expression in a number of countries and regions.”

Francis’ encyclical “Laudato Si” is subtitled “On Care for Our Common Home,” with the phrase “common home” appearing 13 times throughout the text. The U.N. theme “sustainable development” is echoed 18 times in the encyclical.

“The common home of all men and women must continue to rise on the foundations of a right understanding of universal fraternity and respect for the sacredness of every human life, of every man and every woman, the poor, the elderly, children, the infirm, the unborn, the unemployed, the abandoned, those considered disposable because they are only considered as part of a statistic,” Francis told the U.N.General Assembly in his Sept. 25 address to the General Assembly.

Francis also evoked the theme of “sustainable development” three times in his U.N. speech.

“The dramatic reality this whole situation of exclusion and inequality, with its evident effects, has led me, in union with the entire Christian people and many others, to take stock of my grave responsibility in this regard and to speak out, together with all those who are seeking urgently-needed and effective solutions,” the pope told the General Assembly.

“The adoption of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development at the World Summit, which opens today, is an important sign of hope. I am similarly confident that the Paris Conference on Climatic Change will secure fundamental and effective agreements,” Francis said.

Shariah Law, coming to a city near you…

It always amazes me how much the media takes everything out of context and never looks at the big picture.  I know they have an agenda that they are trying to accomplish but it just amazes me as human beings, that they never take a moment to piece it all together.  That is why you get reactions like the two videos links below of interviews with Ben Carson this week on comments he made about Shariah Law.  Ben has obviously done his homework and taken even 10 minutes to think about the big picture of reality.  The interviewers obviously have not, and have not seen or read the first article I posted.

We live in a complex world, that is made less complex by following the Truth of the Gospel, but it is more than sound bytes and gotcha politics and it is dangerous to treat it as such.  This is not a game…

On a side note:  Can anyone name one country that has adopted Shariah Law that also allows for equal existence of other religions?  Hmm…. Nope!

Boy Scouts Of America Adopt The LGBT Agenda…

This article has bothered me even more than the one I just posted about the Pope, and it was bad, check it out (LINK).  But this article takes things to a whole new level.  See I was/am an Eagle Scout.  I know what it took to get and how impactful it was on my life in shaping me into the man I am today.  Evil has taken a step toward the innocence, our future men of character, fathers and husbands.  That is what these ten to eighteen year olds are going to become.  They are going to be the ones we trust our daughters to, the ones we trust our liberty to, and the ones we look to hand the torch of faith to pass to future generations.

They have swung the gates to the pasture wide open to the wolves.  We are allowing indoctrination of our youths, not just in school now, but in all areas of their lives.  The biggest question I have though is: where are the churches?  Where are the Christians?  Almost all Boy Scout troops are sponsored by churches, where are they at objecting to this?  This is a Christian based organization.  Under God.  Have our churches fallen this apostate?  Have we become so numb to it all?  Are we the church of little strength already from Revelations 3?

I guess so.  It just makes me sick to my stomach to see…   all of it.  A rainbow merit bade for attending a pride parade?

Are they going to rewrite the oath and law next?  How does this match with God and being “morally straight”?

Boy Scout Oath or Promise. On my honor, I will do my best. To do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; To help other people at all times; To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight.

I am just sick…  I agree fully with the editors note below.

Nationwide Boycott Called As Boy Scouts Of America Adopt The LGBT Agenda

The Boy Scouts of America on Monday ended its blanket ban on gay adult leaders while allowing church-sponsored Scout units to maintain the exclusion for religious reasons.

EDITOR’S NOTE: I have many fond memories of being in Boy Scout Troop 38 as a teenager, scouting was a fun and informative time in my life. None of these great memories however, include the promotion of the same-sex marriage agenda. In 2015, the BSA has been hijacked by the LGBT Mafia, and as such, we call for an immediate nationwide boycott and rejection of the Boy Scouts of America. Where is the voice of the Christian Church in this nation to rise up and condemn this? I’ll tell you why, because the useless, silent, end times Laodicean Christian Church is too busy “asking for blessings” instead of standing on the Bible.

The new policy, aimed at easing a controversy that has embroiled the Boy Scouts for years, takes effect immediately. It was approved by the BSA’s National Executive Board on a 45-12 vote during a closed-to-the-media teleconference.

‘Now it’s time to unite behind our shared belief in the extraordinary power of Scouting to be a force for good.’ The stage had been set for Monday’s action on May 21, when Gates told the Scouts’ national meeting that the long-standing ban on participation by openly gay adults was no longer sustainable.

He said the ban was likely to be the target of lawsuits that the Scouts likely would lose.

Two weeks ago, the new policy was approved unanimously by the BSA’s 17-member National Executive Committee.

It would allow local Scout units to select adult leaders without regard to sexual orientation – a stance that several Scout councils have already adopted in defiance of the official national policy. In 2013, after heated internal debate, the BSA decided to allow openly gay youth as scouts, but not gay adults as leaders.

‘There will be a period of time where they’ll have some legal protection,’ Upton said. ‘But that doesn’t mean the lawsuits won’t keep coming… They will become increasingly marginalized from the direction society is going.’source

The Shocking Message Pope Francis Preached “The Failure of the Cross”…

The boldness in these last days is simple stunning to watch.  Christ told us it was coming, he told us what to expect, but I must say that seeing it unfold like this over these last few years has simply been stunning to watch.

Equally stunning is the fact that so many of the people we come in contact with each day are completely oblivious to what is going on around them.  There really will be a lot of people caught off guard when events force themselves upon them.

There is something seriously wrong with the catholic church doctrine.  They seem to be to much of this world, hording their treasures up here on earth, praying to Mary instead of Jesus, the Son of God.  Having to confess through a priest instead of directly to God through Jesus and the Holy Spirit.  Keeping Jesus on the cross, the crucifix.  Having Mary crying, not rejoicing that “He has Risen!”  He overcame death!  It no longer has a hold on us, we are free.  Jesus is not still on the cross, He is seated at the right hand of God, and He is coming back very soon for His bride.

I have many Catholic friends, and I pray to God every day and night that they have a personal relationship with Jesus, that they have accepted His free gift of salvation through belief in the Son of God, Jesus Christ.  That is the “works” required for salvation, nothing more, so that none can boast.

The Shocking Message Pope Francis Preached At New York’s St. Patrick’s Cathedral

The Pope, the self-proclaimed “vicar of Christ”, preaching a message of the FAILURE OF JESUS on the cross.

“For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 1:18 (KJV)

Like many people, I missed the message that the Pope preached at St. Patrick’s Cathedral because it was not streamed live as far as I was aware. And honestly, I was much more interested from a prophecy perspective in what he was going to say to Washington and the United Nations. So I did not bother to take a peek and see what he preached at St. Patrick’s. When I did, I about fell off my chair.

First of all, Pope Francis gave a shout-out to his “Muslim brothers and sisters” when he said this – “I would like to express two sentiments for my Muslim brothers and sisters: Firstly, my greetings as they celebrate the feast of sacrifice.” In case he doesn’t know, Islam clearly teaches that their god, Allah, has no son. None at all. So for a Christian to be a spiritual brother or sister with a Muslim is impossible. The Qu’ran boldly declares that Allah has no son:

“It is not [befitting] for Allah to take a son; exalted is He! When He decrees an affair, He only says to it, “Be,” and it is.”  Surah 19:35,36

Pope Francis has been wooing the Muslims into the Vatican tent for sometime now. In November of 2014, he prayed inside a Mosque in Istanbul, in December of 2014 Pope Francis defended Islam as a “religion of peace”, and just a few weeks ago issued the order for all Catholics in Europe to take in Muslim migrants to live with them in their homes.

But it didn’t stop there, not by a long shot. Pope Francis declared the work of Jesus on the cross to be a failure

Perhaps the most shocking, the most stunning words to ever come out of the Pope’s mouth had to do with him talking about the “failure of the Cross”. What?? It is because of Jesus on the cross, that we have salvation. It is because of the cross that we now have access to the Father and a FULL pardon for our sins. It is because of the cross that Heaven, and not Hell, is our destination. This is what he said:

“The cross shows us a different way of measuring success. Ours is to plant the seeds. God sees to the fruits of our labors. And if at times our efforts and works seem to fail and not produce fruit, we need to remember that we are followers of Jesus Christ and his life, humanly speaking, ended in failure, the failure of the cross.”

That was it, not another word. You would expect him to say something like “while it appeared to be a failure to His disciples, the cross was actually a victory…” or some such thing. I have heard that preached many times before in church. But the thing is, he didn’t say that. He just simply stated that the life of Jesus on the cross “ended in failure”, which is a complete and total lie. How he could just leave it there, in defeat, to declare the cross a FAILURE and not expound one, tiny bit more is beyond imagination. The Pope, the self-proclaimed “vicar of Christ”, preaching a message of the FAILURE OF JESUS on the cross. Honestly, words fail me at this moment. Truly.

What better way could Pope Francis end a “sermon” whose opening remarks call Christ-rejecting, Hell-bound Muslims our “brothers and sisters”, and whose main point is the “failure of Jesus on the cross”, than by praying to Mary and asking for her blessing:

Occupy until I return…

I had a friend that I shared all that was coming our way in September.   And they said to me, that they are not sure what to believe anymore, but their heart is in the Lord’s hands and there is no place they would rather be.

Now I agree with this, but something bothered me about this response every time I would get it from anyone.  And the Lord finally enlightened me to what it was.  We are to occupy, not just wait around knowing that we are saved.  To occupy means to be about the Lords work, the last chapter in Matthew told us what that was, the great commission.  We are to go forth and make disciples, to lead others to Christ.  It is said another way in the Old Testament.  We are watchmen on the wall.  We are not only called to be alert ourselves but held accountable for alerting others to the hour we live in and the danger that approaches so that they may make up their own mind to follow, but we have made them aware.  Is there anyone in your life that does not know Jesus?

Listen to the last two minutes of the below video if nothing else, time is short.  We have to get serious about our faith and the things of our Lord.  We must occupy until his return, which is oh so near.  We must snatch others from the hold this world has on them and show them the truth, the word of God.  Then the choice is up to them.

Remember, the darker it gets, the brighter and farther our little light shines!

The gray is disappearing and the world is becoming black or white…

I once had a pastor that said we should see the gray in a black and white world.  I knew that was the day I needed to move on because it is exactly backwards of what God calls us to do and be.  We are to be the light to the world.  The white light, erasing blackness and the gray.  We are at a point which this world is calling good, evil and evil, good.  We must stand strong and pray that God will give us the strength to remain standing firm.  Through Him all things are possible.

Remember, the darker it gets, the brighter and farther our little light shines!

The Big List Of 33 Things That Are Going To Happen In September 2015…

This upcoming month is going to be quite an eventful one.  Amazing how everything is aligning.   And for those of you that say coincidence.  I will remind you of probability of having just three signs align

Just what are the odds of such a coincidence?

Try this:

Cover the entire state of Texas with silver dollars two feet deep, put a red X on just one of them, and then blindfold someone and give him one chance to pick it.

That’s what scientists have said are the odds that Christ would have fulfilled just eight of those prophecies.

And Christ fulfilled more than three hundred.

I don’t know about you, but if all those other prophecies came true, I’m going to expect more of the same when it comes to the remaining ones.

33 falls somewhere in between those so pretty incredible odds.

“But when these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”  – Luke 21:28

The Big List Of 33 Things That Are Going To Happen In September 2015

33 SignIs September 2015 going to be a month that changes history?  For months, there has been an unprecedented amount of buzz all over the Internet about what is going to happen in September.  And without a doubt, we are going to witness a convergence of events during that month that is quite remarkable.  What I have attempted to do in this article is to put together a list of things that we know will happen next month.  Some of the lists that I have seen contain things that cannot be proven or that are simply inaccurate.  And of course it is very likely that some things will happen in September that we cannot anticipate right now.  I am just providing the information that I have at this time, and it is up to you and your family to prepare for what you believe will happen.  The following is my big list of 33 things that are going to happen in September 2015…

September 1 – This marks the beginning of FEMA’s annual “National Preparedness Month”

September 7 – Labor Day

September 11 – The 14th anniversary (7+7) of 9/11

September 11 – The last day of trading on Wall Street before the end of the Shemitah year

September 12 – Madonna’s Rebel Heart Tour opens in the United States.  The first stop is in Washington D.C. and according to Holly Deyo the “opening theme is Desecration of The Bride and Arrival of Fallen Angels”

September 12 and September 13 – Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky, a leading authority in Ultra-Orthodox Judaism, has indicated that the Messiah that the Jewish people are expecting could come at this time

September 13 – The last day of the Shemitah year.  During the last two Shemitah cycles, we witnessed record-breaking stock market crashes on the very last day of the Shemitah year (Elul 29 on the Biblical calendar).  For example, if you go back to September 17th, 2001 (which was Elul 29 on the Biblical calendar), we witnessed the greatest one day stock market crash in all of U.S. history up until that time.  The Dow plunged 684 points, and it was a record that held for exactly seven years until the end of the next Shemitah cycle.  On September 29th, 2008 (which was also Elul 29 on the Biblical calendar), the Dow plummeted 777 points, which still today remains the greatest one day stock market crash of all time in the United States.  Now we are in another Shemitah year.  It began in the fall of 2014, and it ends on September 13th, 2015.

September 13 – Partial solar eclipse

September 14 – Rosh Hashanah

September 14 – The first day of trading on Wall Street after the end of the Shemitah year

September 15 – The 70th session of the UN General Assembly begins on this date.  It has been widely reported that France plans to introduce a resolution which will give formal UN Security Council recognition to a Palestinian state shortly after the new session begins.  Up until now, the U.S. has always been the one blocking such a resolution, but Barack Obama has already indicated that things may be different this time around.  It would be extremely difficult to overstate the significance of this.

September 15 – The Jade Helm military exercises are scheduled to end

September 17 – If there is going to be a rate hike in September, this is probably when the Federal Reserve will do it

September 17 – This is the deadline for Congress to vote on Obama’s deal with Iran

September 17 – Constitution Day – most Americans do not even know that this holiday exists

September 18 – The Days of Awe conference in Sandpoint, Idaho – Christians from all over the nation will be gathering to call out to God in prayer and to repent for the sins of our country

September 20 to September 26 – The “World Week For Peace in Palestine Israel” sponsored by the World Council of Churches

September 21 – This is when the Hajj (pilgrimage to Mecca) is projected to begin

September 21 – The UN International Day Of Peace

September 22 – In Islam, “the Day of Arafat” falls on this day

September 23 – The last day of the summer

September 23 – Yom Kippur

September 23 – The Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha, also known as “the Feast of the Sacrifice”, begins

September 23 – Pope Francis arrives at the White House to meet with Barack Obama

September 23 – The 266th Pope will be meeting with the president of the United States on the 266th day of the year.  Some have suggested that “something is being birthed” on that day since 266 days is the average length of the human gestation period.

September 24 – The Pope addresses a joint session of the U.S. Congress

September 25 – On May 14th, 2014 French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius famously proclaimed that we had only 500 days to avoid “climate chaos”. His time frame of 500 days ends on September 25th.

September 25 – The Pope will hold mass in Madison Square Garden in New York City

September 25 to September 27 – The United Nations launches a brand new “universal agenda” for humanity known as “the 2030 Agenda”

September 25 – The Pope appears at the UN to deliver an address to kick off the conference at which the 2030 Agenda will be unveiled

September 26 and 27 – The Pope will be traveling to Philadelphia for the “2015 World Meeting of Families”

September 28 – The first day of the Feast of Tabernacles

September 28 – This is the date for the last of the four blood moons that fall on Biblical festival dates during 2014 and 2015.  This blood moon will be a “supermoon” and it will be clearly visible from the city of Jerusalem.

Due to the ending of the Shemitah year and numerous other factors, there is rampant speculation that a stock market crash is going to happen in the United States during the month of September.  Previously, I have expressed my view that a major global financial crisis is imminent, but my warning covers all of the remaining months of 2015.  Since I cannot prove that a stock market crash will happen next month, I have left it off the list.  But without a doubt, we are entering the danger zone.

There is also lots of speculation about unusual activity at the Large Hadron Collider during the month of September.  In my research, I have not yet come across anything that confirms that.  If you have solid information concerning this, please send it to me.  But certainly, what they are doing with the Large Hadron Collider concerns me greatly.  This is something that I covered in a previous article entitled “Will The Large Hadron Collider Open Up A Portal To Another Dimension?”

In addition, I am also aware that there is a tremendous amount of speculation about an asteroid or a meteor that may or may not be heading toward our planet next month.  At this time, I have no way of proving this is true, and I have no way of disproving it is true either.  I have not come across anything that I can independently verify that indicates that this will or will not happen.  In law school I was trained to stick to the facts, and I don’t have any facts.  If you do have some solid and verifiable information, please share it with me.

Finally, I would like to acknowledge that there is plenty of speculation about certain natural disasters that may happen in September.  They may indeed happen, but I cannot prove anything of that nature right now so I have left those natural disasters off the list.

Needless to say, next month promises to be absolutely crazy, and our time for preparing is running out.

Disaster can strike very suddenly, and when it does, average citizens can be caught totally unprepared.  This is a point that Carl Gallups, the author of a new book entitled “Be Thou Prepared: Equipping the Church for Persecution and Times of Trouble“, recently made during an interview with WND…

Gallups identifies specific incidents when civil society collapsed, most notably in New Orleans immediately following Hurricane Katrina.

“You ended up with the worst of both worlds,” Gallups observed. “You had widespread criminality, anarchy and disorder, and somehow, at the same time, you had government officials going around enforcing wildly tyrannical guidelines and even confiscating firearms.”

As a result, Americans may be forced to rely on themselves for protection, meaning Christians have to begin planning now.

Even if it doesn’t happen next month, life in America is about to change dramatically.

The infrastructure and government services that we have all come to take for granted may not be there in the future.

It is imperative that we all start to learn how to become more independent of the system, because the system is going to start failing in thousands of different ways.

NEW Iranian video shows Islamic Antichrist INVASION OF JERUSALEM as foretold in the BIBLE

A new Iranian video imagines a future invasion and takeover of Jerusalem by an Islamic alliance between Iran, Hamas, and Hezbollah (h/t: The Blaze):

ALGEMEINER – The animated video, produced by the Islamic Revolution Design House, depicts soldiers preparing for battle. One dons the IRGC insignia on his left arm, another the emblem of the Iran-backed Iraqi Shia Badr Organization. Yet a third dons a headband bearing the Lebanese Hezbollah logo, and a fourth is seen clad in Hamas’ characteristic balaclava and the Qassam Brigades green headband.

Each brandishes a weapon, a helmet and a keffiyeh. They are shown poised on a hill overlooking the Israeli capital of Jerusalem, prepared for battle.

The clip then transitions to a black screen with Persian script that says “Israel must be obliterated,” or literally, “erased from the annals of history,” a command first issued by Iran’s late Ayatollah Khomeini and famously repeated by former Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, as well as leaders of Iran’s proxies such as Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.

The video continues, “and the youth will definitely see that day when it comes.” The soldiers are then seen marching to battle towards Jerusalem’s Temple Mount and Old City.

Here’s the video:

Their depiction isn’t exactly as the Bible has foretold it, but it’s fairly close. The one big missing player is Turkey.

In the recent past we’ve told you about Turkey’s desire to invade Jerusalem. Well if it wasn’t clear before, Iran is now telling us of their desire to invade Jerusalem with an Islamic alliance, except the alliance will be much larger than just Iran, Hezbollah and Hamas.

Ezekiel 38 tell us of this invasion of Jerusalem by this Antichrist Islamic alliance which includes Turkey (Magog), Iran (Persia), Cush (Sudan), Put (Libya), Gomer and Beth-togarmah (CIS nations) and others:

The word of the Lord came to me: “Son of man, set your face toward Gog, of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him and say, Thus says the Lord God:

Behold, I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. And I will turn you about and put hooks into your jaws, and I will bring you out, and all your army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed in full armor, a great host, all of them with buckler and shield, wielding swords. Persia, Cush, and Put are with them, all of them with shield and helmet; Gomer and all his hordes; Beth-togarmah from the uttermost parts of the north with all his hordes—many peoples are with you.

“Thus says the Lord God:

On that day, thoughts will come into your mind, and you will devise an evil scheme and say, ‘I will go up against the land of unwalled villages. I will fall upon the quiet people who dwell securely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having no bars or gates,’ to seize spoil and carry off plunder, to turn your hand against the waste places that are now inhabited, and the people who were gathered from the nations, who have acquired livestock and goods, who dwell at the center of the earth.

“Therefore, son of man, prophesy, and say to Gog, Thus says the Lord God:

On that day when my people Israel are dwelling securely, will you not know it? You will come from your place out of the uttermost parts of the north, you and many peoples with you, all of them riding on horses, a great host, a mighty army. You will come up against my people Israel, like a cloud covering the land. In the latter days I will bring you against my land, that the nations may know me, when through you, O Gog, I vindicate my holiness before their eyes.

Sunni Turkey and Shia Iran will be the main players joined in this alliance, fulfilling the feet of the statue of Daniel 2 that are be made of clay and iron. It’s a weak alliance but one that will hold up long enough for Jerusalem to be invaded.

The Bible tells us this invasion of Jerusalem with last for around 3.5 years until Christ comes back to put an end to it and destroy the beast (Islam) forever.

Whether it be Turkey, Iran, or other countries dreaming about this invasion of Jerusalem, we do know it will happen and I suspect it’s a lot closer than many think, especially when you consider Iran has been unbridled now which will only mean prosperity for the region.

Even if you don’t believe the Bible, both Iran and Turkey are telling us of their desires to invade Jerusalem one day. Should we not take them seriously?

Satan’s Post-Rapture Deception Planning

My article, “What? The Good Guys are Left Behind?” [1] struck a nerve with a number of Christian readers, who pointed out a big hole in the apostate church’s explanation. Here are two such queries:

Are the tens of millions of babies, and children who are taken in the Rapture considered the bad guys? It will be hard to explain when the babies disappear from homes, and hospital baby wards, when toddlers disappear from all over the world-when the millions of bodies of dead babies, and dead children disappear from their graves. How will the wonderful apostate church explain this. Are the innocent babies and children also the bad guys?

No one seems to talk about how it will be explained that all the babies and young children, even those in the womb will be raptured, too. What is the world going to be like…what is this world going to think when there are no babies and children and all previously expecting wombs of non believers are now no longer pregnant.

Great questions and comments, and thanks for provoking my thoughts further on this topic.

In an earlier article I discussed, that watchers were given a glimpse behind the curtains to see a small piece of Satan’s deception plan he is preparing in case the Rapture occurs.

I say “in case the Rapture occurs” because we must remember Satan is not omniscient, and while he is fully aware of the Rapture doctrine, he is not really sure the event will occur. However, being the wisest of God’s creatures, he has fully prepared an elaborate contingency plan which he will rapidly execute if needed.

His plan will not only account for the disappearances of all born-again believers, the children, the babies and the unborn, but he will shape this deception to accomplish far, far more than that.  Satan’s false Rapture message will present one of his grandest lies, a true masterpiece of evil, and potentially the greatest fraud ever perpetrated against mankind as it will lay the groundwork for his entire end-time evil cabal.

And the core basis of that deception has been in plain sight before us to see for decades gaining momentum year after year.

What a Difference a Year Makes

Last year I posted a Rapture Ready article which discussed the potential lies the Antichrist and False Prophet would present to the masses as he rises to power; echoing Satan’s previous poster boy and antichrist trial balloon Adolf Hitler. [2]

At that time I could not conceive how anyone, even Satan, could convincingly wrap a viable deception around a global event the size and magnitude of the Rapture. So I just moved past Satan’s Rapture deception and discussed the potential propaganda lies of the coming world leader, the Antichrist.

But what a difference a year makes. Based upon a flood of recent news, press releases and coalescing secular and religious world views, I believe there is sufficient evidence to speculate on the Satan-inspired deception that the left behind religious, political and even scientific leaders will swallow hook, line and sinker to explain away the Rapture…babies and all.

Before I go further…let me fully clarify upfront that this is not a spiritual revelation on my part, but solely speculation based upon what Scriptures the Lord God provides, and the light that it sheds upon global social, religious, economic, and political trends in these closing days of the Church Age.

The Post Rapture World Stage

Satan has fully forecasted the global conditions of a post-Rapture world, and has formulated, and in fact is already working on his deception to take advantage of the confusion and chaos.  Satan knows that the post-Rapture world will provide a unique opportunity like none other to shape global economics, spirituality, and politics.

Economically: The financial disruptions will vary by region, with the greatest impacts in the previously blessed strongholds of the Lord God.  America hedged and blessed by the Lord God for so long, with its relatively high percentage of Believers making up a large chunk of its labor force, will likely collapse.  As America, the leading economy in the world, implodes she will likely drag the rest of the globe’s modern economies with her in the greatest financial depression in history.  An economic recovery plan will be demanded by the world, and Satan’s plan will offer global stability, though at a sacrifice.

Spiritually: The entire post-Rapture population will be composed of people who are in rebellion against God, be it active or passive. Those left behind will be false god worshipers, fence-sitters or god deniers without any spiritual discernment. They will be biblically mistaken, misguided or illiterate and critical for Satan’s deception (emotionally and intellectually vulnerable), having just experienced the most unbelievable supernatural event the world has collectively experienced since Noah’s flood.  A spiritual answer will be demanded, and Satan’s plan will provide something to believe in.

Politically: The Holy Spirit will no longer hold back Satan’s actions, and his minion’s dark influences will rapidly descend upon or solidify their positions in every town hall and courthouse at the city, state, federal and global level. In the West the born-again Christians who represented the more conservative elements in society will be gone, and the liberal elements within politics will hold sway like never before.   Citizens will demand a new political vision and ideas, and Satan’s plan will provide that leadership.

The Demands of the Rapture Deception

Satan has anticipated that to successfully carry out his deception message he must at a minimum deal with following issues:

– Explain why everyone who remained on the earth stayed, while the Believers in Christ to include all the children and unborn babies disappeared in an instant.

– Soothe and mollify the frantic, near inconsolable parents of all the millions of babies and children from every races and religion on the face of the earth.

– Provide an explanation which is palatable world-wide and transcends multi-cultural, multi-ethnic, and multi-religious boundaries.

– Provide a supernatural explanation to a clearly supernatural event witnessed and digitally recorded by hundreds of millions of people across the globe.

– Lastly and most important for Satan, this deception must serve to solidify the morale high-ground needed to form/unite his one world apostate church, and grant global governing authority to a one world government which the Antichrist will soon inherit.

The Delivery of the Rapture Deception

For his Rapture deception mouthpieces, Satan will use the worthless shepherds of the world’s apostate and false religions who led their flocks astray. Yet the spiritually blind people of earth will be groping in dark desperation, and return to the same spiritually blind guides to explain this extraordinary, supernatural event.

In their arrogance, the apostate, false religious leaders will be in complete denial of the Bible’s Rapture scriptures which the born-again Believers pointed to predicting this exact event.   We already know from an apostate churches priest’s own words [1] they already believe the “good guys” will stay, while the “bad guys,” the intolerant, bigoted, inerrant Bible believers will be taken away by a god.

However, they will be perplexed why would a loving “god” remove babies and children from the planet? What compelling compassionate reason would their many-paths-to-god, universal-grace-to-all-god have to perform such an act?

Amidst their anguish, Satan will shoot his fiery darts into the minds of these blind guides, which they in turn will pass as spiritual guidance and redirection to the confused and godless world masses.  The answers Satan will give these apostate leaders will be wrapped around a core issue which Satan has been tracking behind the scenes; an issue which is now being pushed to the forefront as we draw near to the Rapture.

So what is the core issue which Satan will build his post-Rapture “Big Lie” deception around?  Here is one very plausible possibility:

A Core Issue on Which to Build

Here it is: “Mankind’s activities have overheated the earth to the extent that unless the human race acts collectively and dramatically the earth will become uninhabitable and the human race will cease to exist as a species.”

I know what some you are thinking.   “What?  Man-made global warming?  Climate change?  That is the core issue Satan can build his post-Rapture deception upon?  Really?”

At first read this seems rather tame, but you need to remember the audience Satan is addressing will be desperate for an explanation, and many of those who remain have already solidified this into their core set of beliefs. Man-made global warming fits the bill.

I will not argue whether it is the truth or a hoax, nor its origins, nor its politics, nor who is pushing the agenda. That is not germane to this specific discussion. What is important is that it is a mature concept which is perceived as a critical issue by many across the globe, and is at Satan’s disposal to manipulate for his purposes.

For decades manmade global warming has placed man at the center of his universe and presents to him an issue he believes he can fix.  Man-made global warming also pre-judges everyone on the planet as guilty, and then demands everyone make immediate personal sacrifices in order to “Save the planet!”

Despite being built on admittedly, partially manipulated data that resulted in a public relations nightmare which demanded a name change to Climate Change, it has not only survived, it has thrived. Many people worldwide now accept it as a fact, and the manmade global warming agenda has spread among all the nations, religions and creeds of the earth through the education systems, news outlets, entertainment industries, our science institutions, and our governments.

It has also generated a nearly religious following which generates animosity to those who do not follow similar beliefs, and labels them “Global-Warming deniers.”

It has become a primary policy driver in many national governments (now including the United States due to Obama), of the United Nations, and of many main stream religions (to include the Catholic Church due to Pope Francis), all of whom urge the passing of global legislation to deal with this pending crisis.

Manmade global warming is primed and sets ready for Satan to exploit.

Feeding the Big Lie to a Post Rapture World

On the heels of the Rapture, with the core beliefs of the big lie already firmly established across the globe, Satan is prepared to seamlessly dovetail in his post-Rapture deception. Behind the scenes he will work to have the global religious leaders and the United Nations and national politicians work hand in hand to introduce and then promote his deceptive, “last best hope for mankind” ploy.

With unequalled anticipation and fanfare, unknowingly or not, Satan’s inspired religious and political leaders will conduct an official global release of their message, broadcasting it live and translating it into every language through every media outlet across the entire globe. Piously and soberly they will stand before rows of flags, dressed in their finest vestments and tailored suites, while their spokesman reads a message which will sound something akin to this:

In light of the recent miraculous events and the ensuing crisis, the Global Council of Religions of the United Nations unanimously proclaims:

God who is known by many names, has clearly provided us a warning to make it known mankind’s activities have abused, exhausted, and overheated the earth to the extent that unless the human race acts collectively and dramatically, humans will make the earth uninhabitable and the human race will cease to exist as a species.

God’s infinite mercy and compassion have temporarily removed the earth’s innocents to a place of protection so they will not face the near term consequences of mankind’s crime against mother earth.  Once mankind returns the earth to harmony, God will miraculously return the children to a cleaner, safer and more sustainable earth.  Know that your children are safe with God.

God’s infinite mercy and wisdom have removed some of the earth’s most intolerant people who judged others and who would stand in the way of bringing harmony with mother earth.  In this act, God has confirmed love for all by condemning hatred, bigotry, or intolerance of any kind against any race, religion, color, ethnicity, creed, sexual orientation, or gender orientation.

 

God has placed upon mankind a moral obligation to work as one people, to set aside national and personal agendas so together we can make the necessary changes and sacrifices to save mother earth, our species, and secure the safe return of our innocents.   May God provide you strength and peace of mind as we work in unity to mend and remove those things which have offended God and Mother Earth.”

Hmmm…so there you have it.

Will manmade global warming be the backdrop issue Satan will use, or will it be one of the many other brands Satan has in the fire?  Regardless what lie he weaves, Satan is working behind the scenes preparing his lies, which he will use to launch his one world religion and government.

As time draws closer Satan will show more glimpses of his plans, which will be evident for those who watch with the Bible open and the council of the Holy Spirits in their hearts.

A final quote for thought:

“Everything is related, and we human beings are united as brothers and sisters on a wonderful pilgrimage, woven together by the love God has for each of His creatures and which also unites us in fond affection with brother sun, sister moon, brother river, and mother earth.”    (Pope Francis, 2015)

Come Lord Jesus, Come!

Be Careful – Watchers Through a Glass, Darkly

“For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known” (1 Corinthians 13:12).

In hindsight, looking upon the numerous Old Testament Scriptures that predicted Christ’s First Advent, it is fascinating that nearly no one foresaw the timing of the Messiah’s birth.

Here is the Lord God’s greatest focal point in mankind’s history and despite the hundreds of verses pointing to the Messiah’s coming, even the eminent scholars and holy men who dedicated their lives to studying the Scriptures failed to recognize Jesus Christ’s First Advent.

To our knowledge no one living at that time fully perceived His arrival time, let alone the wondrous, miraculous nature of God’s redemptive plan for mankind through our Savior Jesus Christ, with the potential exception of Magi from the East who were executing the final will of the prophet Daniel.

Even Satan, the most perfect and intelligent of God’s creations, despite all his unearthly powers and his centuries-long vigilant watching over Israel so he could crush the seed of Eve, failed to see Christ’s long-predicted birth (Ezekiel 28:12; Revelation 12:4).

Had any of us lived during that time, would our watching have yielded anything different? No.

Were these people unable to see the Messiah’s coming because the Old Testament Bible believers prior to Christ were less intelligent or devoted than believers today? No.

Why? What was the reason no one saw it coming?

The reason for the world’s complete blindness was because God willed it to be so!

The entire world failed to see the Messiah’s First Coming because God wanted His arrival to be accomplished in humble glory, veiled in mystery; sealed in a time and space known only by the Lord God Himself.

It was only after God lifted the veil could a Spirit-filled man look upon the Scriptures and fully know how God wondrously, and miraculously fulfilled the prophecies concerning the birth, ministry, crucifixion, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 2:7).

Today, we set upon another threshold…

But before I continue, let me firmly state I believe that the most solid scripturally and spiritually based understanding of God’s Word and plan for mankind is the Dispensationalist, Futurist, Pre-tribulation Rapture, Millennialist interpretation. It is that biblical lens with which I view this fallen world, and it is from that perspective I teach.

As I was saying…today, we set upon another threshold in the Lord God’s unfolding plan.

With God’s Holy Word in our hands, we await the Blessed Hope, the Rapture, and watch for signs of the pending Second Coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. But today we are doubly blessed because we not only have the Bible, we have the Holy Spirit’s guidance.

However, even with that, as with the First Advent, the exact timing and sequencing of events preceding the Second Advent (the Rapture, Psalm 83, Isaiah 17 Oracle, the battle of Ezekiel 38-39, Daniel’s Seventieth Week) though they are in the Scriptures right before our eyes, the details and timing of these events remain intentionally, partially veiled from us by our Lord God.

The Unfolding Will Remain Partially Veiled

I believe it is the Lord God’s will that the fullness of these events are sealed in time and space known by Him alone, and their exact unfolding will remain unknowable to both mankind and Satan’s kind. We watchers will watch only through a glass darkly because that is God’s intent.

Our Lord God alone holds eternity in His hands and no one in heaven or earth has His full council; no one. Yes we can know the rough outline of end-time events by careful study of God’s Word, but no one man, or group, knows all of God’s end of days’ mysteries. Only when God has executed His plan will all the individual scriptural threads be able to be woven into the unified and radiant tapestry of God’s perfect plan for the final days of the redemption of mankind.

Accordingly, as the days draw near Church Age believers will continue to be mouth agape, awe- struck as God continues to pull away the veil leading up to the end of the Church Age at the Rapture. We will continue to be surprised until in the blink of an eye we are changed and are taken home.

Likewise following the Rapture, the entire world will be equally dumbfounded with the gradual unveiling of the seven years of tribulation, a time like no other since the beginning of the world nor ever shall be. With the end result being every knee bowing and every tongue confessing that Jesus Christ is Lord.

What God has prepared for the Church and the world will be far more awesome yet tumultuous, wondrous yet devastating, and miraculous yet horrifying; more than any created being can envision from the limited glimpses our Lord God has provided us in His Scriptures.

Be Careful My Brothers and Sisters

As time draws closer we can anticipate increased spiritual activity spilling over into our physical world, and that many of Satan’s spiritual minions and those who fall under his influences will present false messages and interpretations. Many of those messengers will claim to be believers in Christ, or they may be just misguided Christians following their own selfish desires versus the Holy Spirit’s guidance.

Therefore, we must be very careful, weary in fact, of those who claim to know precisely when, where, how and by whom end-time events shall occur. We must be on vigilant guard against those who readily provide unique insights into the details of God’s plan.

Paramount is knowing how these individuals view Jesus Christ and God’s Holy Word. For anyone to provide valid insight into God’s planning they must first openly confess belief in Jesus Christ as his or her Lord and Savior, and must revere God’s Word. If these criteria are not met their words are to be dismissed.

We must know if these people are professing revelation, interpretation or speculation; these are very different things.

If anyone is declaring direct revelation from the Lord God, Jesus said, “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, if any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book” (Rev. 22:18-19).

The cannon is closed, and no private revelation apart from the Scripture is valid (2 Peter 1:20).  Any valid interpretation must be rooted in, and not conflict with any of God’s Word. The Triune God has built the prophetic foundation, and we can neither remove stones, nor expand the foundations; we can only explain how things may be built upon the holy truth found in the Bible.

Our key weapon in discerning end times truth is the Bible. Many have and will try to pass off their self-derived mere speculation as inspired interpretation, or even revelation. God’s Word cautions us to test the spirits against Holy Scripture (1 John 4:1), for the heart of man is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked (Jeremiah 17:9). And, It is better to trust in the LORD [and His Word, if I may add] than to put confidence in man (Psalm 118:8).

As we watch we must constantly check men’s assertions against the Word, be in close fellowship with the Holy Spirit, pray for discernment, and be in concert with others who believe in God’s full scriptural council, but we must remember…

No one has the complete picture of what will unfold in the end-times but our Lord God!

Dark days, the end is nearing…

It is such a slippery slope we are on, things are picking up speed as we hurl toward Christ’s return.  You can see the hedge of protection being lifted all around us as our society truly becomes a non-christian society.  The speed of events is simply overwhelming.

As I have read articles over the last few weeks (some listed below), I am shocked by the speed of events, even though I know they are coming I still find myself taken aback.  We must reach out to the lost and spiritually captive before it is too late.  Be the light during these dark times.  Simplify our lives, become not of this world but merely living in it as a beacon of light because the end is drawing near and will be upon us when they do not expect it, in the blink of any eye.

Gay CNN host LECTURES Christian lawyer “If you provide a service it has NOTHING to do with religion”

Last night gay CNN host Don Lemon had on a panel on to discuss the Indiana RFRA and one of the guests was a Christian lawyer from the ADF, Kristen Waggoner. As she argued that people shouldn’t be forced by the government to lose everything or violate their religious beliefs, she was lectured by Lemon that owning as a business and providing a service has nothing to do with religion.

Geez, like he would know.

And if that’s not bad enough, the libertarian on the panel, Penn Jillette, agreed with Don Lemon and then made it all about gay sex, lecturing Waggoner that no one is forcing a Christian business owner to participate in gay sex. Jillette said that forcing a Christian business owner to provide services to everyone was reasonable because…it wasn’t gay sex or something.

“Watchmen on the Wall”

“Watchmen on the wall,” that’s how Ezekiel describes the prophets of Israel whom God had appointed to warn His wayward people of impending judgment. God tells the prophet, “When I say to the wicked, O wicked man you shall surely die’ and do not speak to warn the wicked from their way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand.”

Christians who are called to this duty must comply or also face God’s displeasure. This is no easy task since atheism and secularism is on the rise, especially in our country. Thus, a handful of watchmen have been warning others for many years now, as God in His mercy always gives sufficient warning before He acts decisively. God, our Creator, derives no pleasure in bringing judgment on his creation.

In fact, He would have all people everywhere repent and seek His face. This small number of prophets, evangelists and preachers carry what for most would seem to be a very heavy burden of shouting out a warning or reprimand to willful sinners, calling for repentance.

They who see these things coming down the pike through spiritual eyes in light of the scriptures are truly blessed and prepared to meet their maker, regardless of the circumstances they find themselves in. Today, even half-baked Christians know something is going on and live their lives in fear as they see the world falling apart.

It’s Deja Vu All Over Again

My favorite philosopher, Yogi Berra, who provides the world such profundities as “If you don’t go to other people’s funerals, they won’t go to yours,” issued the most famous of all in 1961, after watching Roger Maris and Mickey Mantle hit back-to-back home runs. “It’s Deja Vu all over again!”

I’m getting a sense similar to that Yogi must have felt upon watching his teammates hit all those homers that year. Only, the feeling isn’t so exhilarating as I’m sure was Yogi’s experience. As a matter of fact, the sense is ominous–one of history repeating as the stage for the fulfilling of prophecy is being set by the grand deceiver of humankind.

My view of that earlier era, of course, is through the prism of the study of history. I wasn’t quite on the scene as yet when it took place. I’m referring to the time when Adolf Hitler was on the rise and made a pact with his nemesis to his east, Josef Stalin, the Soviet dictator. The German and Soviet tyrants signed the German-Soviet Nonaggression Pact in August, 1939. Hitler roped in his bitter enemy in convincing him to sign in order that the Fuhrer not have to worry about being opposed by the Soviets in his assault on Poland. Stalin wanted to make sure his Soviet Empire was free from war in order to build his military into the powerful war-making machine it would one day become.

The deja vu comes into the picture for our purposes in this commentary in thinking upon recent developments taking place between the new Greek prime minister, Alexis Tsipras, and Russian President Vladimir Putin. It is a most fascinating deja vu, to be sure. And, again, it is one that is ominous.

There is being much made in recent days of the similarities between Alexis Tsipras and the Bible’s description of the person who will be Antichrist. I agree with most of the comparisons. They are striking in some instances. However, there have been many striking comparisons to world leaders throughout the centuries to what the Word of God says about that Son of Perdition.

Adolf Hitler was, as most everyone who knows anything about the Biblical description of Antichrist understands, a dictator who seemed to fill the bill as the first beast of Revelation in many ways. The German Fuhrer came and went, however, and the world yet wags on toward its fate, the last seven years of which will be ruled to great extent by the actual Antichrist. Continue Reading »

The Olivet Discourse…Luke’s Version

Students of prophecy often pay more attention to Matthew’s version of the Olivet Discourse because of its greater length and detail. But when we bypass Luke’s account, we miss one third of the Lord’s message. That’s because the disciples asked the Lord three questions and in Matthew 24 He only answered the last two. Also, it’s Luke’s answer to their first question that confirms the whole message as it relates to the end times.

Here’s why: When a prophet revealed events that would take place beyond the lifetimes of the people he was speaking to, the Lord often provided a short term partial fulfillment to validate the distant prophecy. This is because He had told the people that if what a prophet said didn’t come true, then the people were not to fear him, for he hadn’t spoken for the Lord (Deut 18:21-22).

There are numerous partial fulfillments in Scripture that would serve as good examples of this, but perhaps the clearest one comes from John 5:43. Speaking to Israel, Jesus said, “I have come in my Father’s name, and you do not accept me; but if someone else comes in his own name, you will accept him.” He was referring to the Antichrist, who many in Israel will believe to be the Messiah when he comes on the scene at the beginning of Daniel’s 70th week.

But just before Jesus was handed over to be executed, Pilate offered to free Him as a sign of Roman mercy, traditionally expressed on Passover. He gave the people a choice, the innocent Jesus who came in His Father’s name or a convicted killer named, Barabbas, who came in his own name. The people chose Barabbas. It was the partial fulfillment that validated the Lord’s prophecy of Israel and the Antichrist in the 70th Week.

And as we’ll see, the destruction of Jerusalem in 69AD was the partial fulfillment that validated the Lord’s prophecy of the End Times. Let’s take a look.

Luke 21:5-36

“Some of his disciples were remarking about how the temple was adorned with beautiful stones and with gifts dedicated to God.  But Jesus said, ‘As for what you see here, the time will come when not one stone will be left on another; every one of them will be thrown down.’ ‘Teacher,’ they asked, ‘When will these things happen? And what will be the sign that they are about to take place?’” (Luke 21:5-7).

According to Mark 13:3, it was Peter, James, John and Andrew who asked. And in Matt. 24:3 we can read their complete question. “When will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”

This is our first hint that things will be different in Luke’s account. He only has the disciples asking the first question, the one about their immediate future.

Occupy Until I Come

Some of you are aware that I post a “Question of the Day” on Face Book each day. Recently one of these questions received more comments than any other we’ve ever posted by a wide margin.

It concerned a woman’s frustration because in a recent conversation her friends confirmed that they believe in an any moment Rapture but then went on to tell her their plans for the next 10-20 years, what they expect to do when they retire, what kind of career they hope their children will have, and how they can’t wait to have grandchildren. She felt like they were just paying lip service to the nearness of the Rapture and were more focused on their long term hopes and plans for this world.

I agreed with her, saying that what people pay attention to in their lives gives you a clue as to what their intentions are for their life. When people spend more time talking about their long range plans for their life in this world than they do about their longing for the Lord to return for the church and what they’re doing for Him while they wait, it tells us they intend to be here for a long time.

The comments I received in response to this posting were all over the place. A few agreed with the questioner, but most thought there is nothing wrong with making long term plans for our lives because we can’t know for sure when He’s coming. And more than one person said, “We can’t just abandon our lives and go camp on a hill waiting for Him.”

Several quoted the phrase “Occupy until I come” from the Parable of the Ten Minas (Luke 19:11-27) as their justification for making long term worldly plans, but I wonder how many of us realize the context in which the Lord said this.

In the parable, a man of noble birth was going on an extended trip and was leaving his servants in charge of a portion of his wealth saying, “Occupy till I come.”

As you know a parable is a heavenly story put into an earthly context where every character is fictional and represents an actual one. In the Parable of the Ten Minas the man of noble birth represents Jesus, and His servants represent us.

The Greek word translated “occupy” in the King James translation of Luke 19:13 can mean to be occupied in anything, but in the context of the parable it means to “carry on a business.” In place of “occupy till I come” some English translations have the nobleman saying, “Put this money to work until I come back.” Others say, “Engage in business with this until I return.”

While there are a number of ways in which different translations convey this idea, I didn’t find a single one that indicated the nobleman was just telling his servants to idly wait for him as in “camping on a hill.” Nor did I find one that had the nobleman telling them to do whatever they wanted while he was gone. They all conveyed the idea that he expected them to conduct his business on his behalf using the resources he was leaving with them.

Therefore, the phrase “Occupy until I come” doesn’t mean we’re free to live our life according to whatever priorities we’ve established while we wait for the Rapture. It means we’re to be occupied in the work He’s given us until He returns, and have something to show for it. The fact that the nobleman criticized the servant who preserved the money he’d been given but didn’t increase it at all lends credence to this interpretation. He expected a return on his capital.

What Work Has He Given Us?

“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God–this is your true and proper worship” (Romans 12:1).

Romans 12:1-2 could be called Paul’s interpretation of the phrase “Occupy until I come.” I say that because the Greek word translated “worship” in Romans 12:1 is not the one that would normally be used. In fact, it actually means “service” and that’s the way many translations render it. The King James translation calls it our “reasonable service”. In Romans 12:1 Paul urged us to offer ourselves to God to perform whatever service He has in mind for us as our response to the mercy He has shown us. And how are we supposed to know what that is? Here’s a FACTUAL comparison of the Christian Crusades and Islamic Jihad

You know it’s bad for Islam when Obama has to pull out the old “LOOK AT THE CRUSADES” argument at the National Prayer Breakfast. Strong Delusion…

White House Rejects ‘Radical Islam’ Label for Terrorists

The White House won’t be calling jihadists adherents to “radical Islam.” At least, that’s the reasonable take away from this extraordinary exchange the White House press secretary had today with a reporter:

Q I just want to go back to your statement about the extremists want to incite a religious war against Islam and they failed. There have been a lot of questions raised about why you have chosen not to associate yourself with the language that was used by the French President when he said we’re at war with radical Islam, and instead you have chosen a formulation where you say you want to capture individuals who commit violence based on their warped view of Islam. Is the reason you don’t want to call it “radical Islam” or use the word “war” because you’re afraid of playing into the extremists’ desires to incite a religious war on Islam? Is that the reason you’ve gone to great lengths to come up with this different formulation?

MR. EARNEST: Well, Mara, there certainly — it does seem clear that these terrorists — let’s call them what they are — these terrorists are individuals who would like to cloak themselves in the veil of a particular religion. But based on the fact that the religious leaders of that religion have roundly condemned their actions, those religious leaders have indicated that their actions are entirely inconsistent with Islam. I think the fact that the majority of victims of terror attacks that are carried out by al Qaeda and adherents to their particular brand of violence, that the majority of them are Muslim I think is a pretty clear indication that this is not a matter of the world being at war with Islam. The world and the United States — as we’ve discussed before in the context of ISIL — is at war with these individuals, these violent extremists who carry out these acts of terror and try to justify it by invoking this religion.

Q Right. But the leader of France, your ally in this effort, has put a name on this ideology, which he calls “radical Islam.” You have bent over backwards to not ever say that. There must be a reason.

MR. EARNEST: I think the reason is twofold. One is I certainly wouldn’t want to be in a position where I’m repeating the justification that they have cited that I think is completely illegitimate, right? That they have invoked Islam to try to justify their attacks.

Q But to call it radical Islam you feel would be playing into their hands.

MR. EARNEST: Well, I think what I’m trying to do is I’m trying to describe to you what happened and what they did. These are individuals who are terrorists. And what they did was they tried to invoke their own distorted deviant view of Islam to try to justify them. And I think that is completely illegitimate. And what we should do is we should call it what it is. And it’s an act of terror, and it’s one that we roundly condemn. It’s an act of terror that was roundly condemned by Muslim leaders across the globe.

There are reports that at least one of the victims of the attack in Paris was actually a Muslim. We know that at least one of the hostages in the kosher grocery store was a Muslim. And one of the things I think that has been particularly inspiring about the march that we spent a lot of time talking about yesterday is the kind of solidarity that we saw among the French population. This is a diverse country. But we saw French Jews marching with French Christians and French Muslims in a sign of solidarity to condemn these terror acts and to demonstrate that that country will not retreat in the face of that kind of violence.

Q But other of your allies have described the ideology that you call a warped view of Islam by calling it radical Islam. They’re not saying we’re at war with Islam. They agree with you totally in every word you’ve just said. But they are calling the ideology, the warped view that these people adhere to by a name. And it seems that the White House has gone to great lengths to avoid ever calling it anything other than a warped view, and I’m wondering is there a reason for that.

MR. EARNEST: Yes, and I guess I’m trying — I’m doing my best to try to explain to you what that is.

The first is accuracy. We want to describe exactly what happened. These are individuals who carried out an act of terrorism, and they later tried to justify that act of terrorism by invoking the religion of Islam and their own deviant view of it.

The second is this is an act that was roundly condemned by Muslim leaders. God’s Final Message Applied to Today’s Churches

In Revelation chapter fourteen while in the midst of Daniel’s Seventieth Week (the seven-year long Tribulation period), God sends forth an angel to deliver his final message to rebellious, god-denying Man, just prior to unleashing His final seven judgments.

God’s final message cuts to the point and blows through all the superfluous drivel most lost souls are enduring in today’s dying pulpits. We would do well to take heed and make God’s last message the central theme being preached in our churches today.

“And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters” (Rev.14:6-7).

God will use an angel to supernaturally complete the church’s Great Commission, to preach His Good News to the ends of the earth (Matthew 24:13-14).   The angel’s good news that Man’s salvation is solely accomplished through faith in Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection (John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8, John 14:6), is prefaced by God’s final message to mankind which focuses on three critical points concerning God’s relation to Man.

 

 

First, people must fear and glorify God. In our fallen world (and most modern churches), people have lost their fear of the Lord. There was a time in society when being called a God-fearer was a prized complement to strive for; now it is an archaic and often pejorative term.

Baiting the hook…

The headline “Sinking of Kremlin gas project leaves south-east Europe high and dry” caught my attention this afternoon.  The EU has won out against Russia and a planned gas pipeline has been cancelled that would have supplied gas to south-eastern Europe.  They are now left with the problem where to get the Gas from?

Gee, who just discovered the largest world-wide supply of Natural Gas, just off their shore?

Who is located near the south-eastern portion of the EU?

If you guessed Israel you are correct!

I believe we are seeing the “hook in the mouth” of Ezekiel 38 beginning to be set.

And who did Russia turn to to for the new pipeline destination?  Turkey.  The 38 Alliance is beginning to take shape, Turkey, Russia, and Iran.

8 Clear Signs of a Compromising Church

1. In the confessing church, Christ is over culture. The compromising church accommodates Christ to culture. The confessing church believes Jesus is Lord over all creation. Hence, they attempt to reflect Christ in every area of culture. The compromising church has a posture of accommodation. Hence, the Christ they believe in and preach is shaped by the culture they live in.

2. The confessing church holds fast to the Word of God in spite of opposition. The compromising church alters the Word of God because of opposition. Soon in America it is quite possible that it will be illegal to preach from certain passages of the Bible dealing with human sexuality. Because of this, many will alter their theology to fit the culture while the confessing church will preach the Word of God in spite of governmental fines, penalties, lawsuits and even serving time in jail.

3. The confessing church puts the kingdom of God above their culture and ethnicity. The compromising church puts their ethnicity before the kingdom of God. The German Church during the Nazi era put nationalism and their Aryan heritage above the Word of God. Many pastors and believers today view the Scriptures more through the lens of their ethnicity and national heritage than through a proper exegesis of Scripture.

When, and if, our nation officially makes biblical Christianity illegal, we will soon see who will be the confessors and who will be the compromisers. In many ways, practicing biblical Christianity is already illegal when it comes to believers attempting to walk out their faith in the marketplace because private Christian-owned businesses do not have the same level of protection today as do local churches.

4. The confessing church alters their methods of preaching. The compromising church alters the message they preach. While it is wise and biblical for the body of Christ to be relevant to culture regarding the preaching of the gospel, it should never put being relevant above being faithful. The compromising church puts being relevant before biblical faithfulness. Hence, they not only change the method of preaching but also the message they preach.

5. The confessing church is a remnant in the minority of church and state. The compromising church wants to be in the mainstream of both church and state.  The confessing church endures long seasons of feeling like aliens and strangers in their own communities. The compromising church wants to be in the mainstream of culture more than living in the divine flow of God’s favor and presence.

6. The confessing church is penalized by the state government. The compromising church is applauded by the state government. While the confessing church is hunted down and ostracized by the humanistic state, the compromising church is celebrated by the far-left radicals and used as a model of how church and state should function together.

7. The confessing church prophetically speaks truth to power. The compromising church conforms to those in power. The confessing church knows that at various seasons in their existence they will not gain a lot of converts and/or experience societal transformation. The best they can do is to maintain a prophetic witness to the cultural elites and surrounding communities. Since the compromising church enjoys the power and prestige the elites grant them, they always conform rather than confront.

8. The confessing church desires the praise of God. The compromising church desires the praise of men. Ultimately at the end of the day it boils down to this: Are we living for the praise of men or the praise of God? If things don’t change in the coming days, we will be shocked at how many megachurches, mid-size churches and smaller churches compromise the word of God so they could continue to keep their doors open.

At some point we will all have to stand the ultimate test, which is whether we desire God more than we love our lives, or whether we love our pleasures, conveniences and material goods more than God. Truly, if we confess Christ before men He will confess us before His Father in heaven, but if we deny Him before men He will deny us before His Father in heaven (Matt. 10:32-33).

The Reprobate Mind…

God told us we would see these things, but even though I knew in my mind they would begin, still has a stunning effect of disbelief.  I thought Robert had the best definition that I had heard in a while of a Reprobate mind.

This is what I call a reprobate mind, believing in a lie as if it’s the truth.

Another powerful statement from the article below summed up what my eyes are seeing and my heart is feeling these days as view the world through my Christian worldview lens:

One cannot trust anything that is written or heard in media anymore. The news networks are nothing more than indoctrination centers, spinning webs of deceit, and promoting false narratives to advance their agendas. Television programs are full of evil, as if this is the new normal. One cannot click through the channels without seeing gratuitous sex or hearing vulgar language. Schools are teaching our children Godless messages and punishing them should they say anything good or true about God. God is not allowed in the public square any longer. Even in the churches, ministers now teach and embrace homosexuality as if God has changed His mind. They call evil good and good evil.

So what is one to do in these dark days?

So, what is a Christian to do? What I do on a daily basis is look at current events and study the Bible. I read everything I can to keep up with the times, doing my prayerful best to discern God’s truth. It has become clear to me that America, as a nation, is in the throes of death. I believe this is the end game folks. Sodom and Gomorrah has nothing on us. But take heart, as this is not our home. We are citizens of Heaven. As Christians, we should not be surprised; we knew this was to happen according to the Word of God. We Christians need to pray constantly; we need to pray for our nation and also our enemies. God is in control and knows our troubles.  He understands everything that is going on. Satan’s days are numbered and Gods return is so very close. We need to reach out and tell anyone who is willing to hear the good news that Jesus Christ is Lord and salvation awaits them.

The Reprobate Mind

Well folks, I must say that I am not surprised at what I am seeing in America today, but I am very sad and concerned. In fact, what I’m observing is making more sense to me than ever before. The Scriptures do tell us that in the end times evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived (2 Tim 3:13).

We certainly saw that on display after the decision in Ferguson—the decision not to indict Officer Darren Wilson. This was an absolute correct and Godly decision. What I observed in the aftermath was an ungodly mob of people with reprobate minds. I saw people under Satan’s spell—folks doing evil on the level of what was seen during Hitler’s time and Stalin’s regime. What I witnessed was the evil of Satan himself.

The fact is, the people of Ferguson want to lynch a white police officer for doing his job. Darren Wilson killed a thug that robbed a store and then tried to do him harm. He had every right to defend himself. But, the mob won’t have it. Now they have destroyed Officer Wilson’s dream of being a peace keeper and having a normal life. He will be hunted down relentlessly by lawless people, including those in the media who saw nothing unethical in printing the address of his private residence. They want us to believe that it’s racial injustice, when in fact it’s reverse racism. This is what I call a reprobate mind, believing in a lie as if it’s the truth.

The people who participated in that absolute mayhem, burning down churches and small businesses in their own community, seemingly do not know the evil of their actions, or perhaps do not care. They are totally engrossed in anarchy—they are people with reprobate minds. They seem to have no clue of what is right or wrong. They simply exist—going about their lives while being manipulated by their false preachers, the president, the NAACP, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, congressmen and women, the media, lawyers, and so on.

What I see is the utter destruction of the American black race. A destruction so rapid yet scrupulous that they did not even see it coming. They fell for the lies. They eagerly accepted the handouts given to them with a wink and a nod—completely unaware that there would eventually be a price to pay. There is always a price. They fell for the rhetoric of the race hustlers and preachers—men and women who are only out for personal power, wealth, and fame.

The state of the American black community today, in my view, is the direct result of black men abandoning their families to be raised by the women they impregnate. These people have been brainwashed, and government and media are complicit. The welfare state has done no favors to black America. Instead, it has destroyed our families and made us dependent on Uncle Sam.

There is so much anger in the black community, because they believe what they have been told—that they had no choice in the outcome of their lives. They are victims, and they are owed. Race hustlers and other Godless people have risen up, through their own self-promotion, as “leaders,” only to take advantage of the black community. They organize and manipulate these people for their own selfish purposes. They agitate the black community, who in turn becomes highly emotional at the hands of these race baiters and Godless “leaders,” and seemingly loses any sense of right or wrong. Many of those people will claim to be Christians, yet they do evil, and believe in lies. I would ask them, “Where was Christ in the burning of Ferguson?”

If the preachers in the black community are able to distinguish evil, and I wonder if this is so, they will not speak out against it. Instead, they shout the same song and dance sermons that have been heard a million times—inciting hatred and anger among those who listen. I’m so saddened to see a race of people, my people, who were blessed by God to come to this great nation. A people who have now become worse than the ones who had us in chains a long time ago.

What I see happening to America in every corner of our once great society is astonishing! We are being overcome by evil and it has permeated our culture in every respect.

The POTUS has waved his magic wand, once again, and opened the door to illegal aliens, which will result in the final devastation of the black community. Blacks will never be able to get jobs and lift themselves out of poverty under this lawless action, even if they wanted to. The Hispanics will be next in line for the ruin that overtook the black community. They will now be the cheap labor for the liberal elites, making their beds, and picking their produce, while the privileged live in their gated communities under the protection of security guards.

More than 80% of black Americans—to this day—support the president. They have followed an evil man to their own destruction and they don’t even know it. They will continue to follow him, despite having become worse off under his policies. Unemployment, crime, disintegration of the black family, and lack of economic opportunity have all increased for the black community under this president’s administration. Black folks know this—President Obama and other evil and vile men and women have destroyed what was left of any moral values and Godly traits that we once held dear. I, of course, am not talking about all black folks but I am talking about most of them.

Now let me say this. Thirty-five states have now legalized same-sex marriage. That means we have 15 states to go before this is the law of the nation. I wonder what the churches will be preaching then. Will it be business as usual? Will they remain silent so as not to offend the LGBT community? Will they continue to overlook the sin that God hates? Look at what happened in Houston when their lesbian mayor subpoenaed sermons being preached in churches—intimidating preachers who spoke the truth, and the congregants who supported them. Those subpoenas were only withdrawn under an enormous backlash from the Christian community. I believe this was a shot across the bow against religious liberty in this nation, and it’s going to get worse. Be ready. When same-sex marriage goes legal, nationwide, what do you think will happen to the church?

America is in trouble on all fronts. Black communities are being destroyed. Hispanic’s are the next group to be castoff. Whites are afraid to stand up and speak the truth for fear of being called racist. Some churches are watering down God’s truth for fear of offending anyone, and perhaps losing donations. And, our government is now largely run by evil men and women, out for their own selfish purposes.

So, what is a Christian to do? What I do on a daily basis is look at current events and study the Bible. I read everything I can to keep up with the times, doing my prayerful best to discern God’s truth. It has become clear to me that America, as a nation, is in the throes of death. We need to pray for Darren Wilson, his new bride, and his unborn baby. We also need to pray for Michael Brown’s family; that they will see God’s light. And, please continue to pray for the Jews and Israel.

Misplaced blame…

So many times, we hear people, even ourselves, question why God allows certain events to happen.  I think Terry sums up very well that the exact opposite is true and that our blame is miss placed on God.

In this time of nuclear weapons and bio-weapons of mass destruction, God’s staying hand has restraint us from destroying ourselves and this world we inhabit.

End-Times Leadership

Study of powerful leaders throughout history has always fascinated me. The fact that such study intrigues others, too, is demonstrated, I think, by the obsession with Adolf Hitler my cable TV system seems to harbor. It’s all Hitler, all the time–or so it seems.

I can’t seem to pull myself away from the presentations, despite the fact that I have “viewed” these same documentaries multitudinous times–and me totally blind since 1993! Perhaps that is one reason they still fascinate. Most of the documentary film of the rise of Hitler and his diabolical regime, up to and including World War II, replays in my mind’s eye almost like I was physically seeing it all again.

So, you see, I’ve been “fascinated” with this most terrible tyrant, literally, for numerous decades.

However, it isn’t just the grisly history of der Führer that piques my interest. It is leadership throughout history, from the times of Nimrod and the building of the Tower of Babel, to Nebuchadnezzar, to Alexander the Great, to Julius Caesar and all of the beastly Roman emperors, to the more modern era of Stalin, Mao, Mussolini, Tojo, Khrushchev, Brezhnev, Nasser, Hafez al-Assad, Saddam Hussein, Khomeini, Vladimir Putin, et al, that draw my interest.

My fascination is not with the horrors of war. These are heart wrenching and not in any way intellectually stimulating or edifying–at least not for me. The intrigue that enthralls comes from the fact that these human beings are allowed power over the people. This power is given to them by the people themselves, through acquiescence.

But, it is the fact that the Lord of Heaven allows that they attain such power that continues to truly spellbind me, I think.

Allowing the millions upon millions of people enslaved and murdered by these seem incomprehensible to reconcile with the great character of the one and only God I know and love through the Lord Jesus Christ–His Son—who made my own soul’s reconciliation possible. The question that most of us who name the name of Christ have when considering the evil of this world is: Why does God allow such to take place?

How can the Lord of Heaven seemingly sit by and watch while these atrocities–this genocide—take place throughout the eons of history? We sometimes forget when thinking on such things that our God has provided leaders of the sort that are people after His own heart, as the Bible puts it. David comes to mind, as do some of the “good” kings of Israel and Judah during the alternating times of good versus bad kings throughout certain periods of the history of those Northern and Southern kingdoms of the Jewish people.

Other great leaders of the world’s nations, who were not necessarily people after God’s own heart, have ruled the people under their authority with benevolence. Such societies and cultures have thrived, most often, under such rulers.

Certainly, in these modern days when nuclear weapons could end civilization with the press of a few buttons, God’s staying hand on the leadership of the nations of planet earth is all the more important to recognize. To place the blame on the Almighty is to place blame wrongly. He has kept us from destroying ourselves, despite our best efforts to do so, restraining evil that comes from our own sin-blackened hearts.

There is coming a time, and I believe very soon, when that restraining influence will remove–according to 2 Thessalonians, chapter 2. We can see indications that our collective rebellion has already caused the Lord to somewhat take his Mighty Hand of restraint off this world. We can see it through the more than obvious confused thinking that this end-times era has wrought among the leaderships of the nations on a global basis.

In my view, our own nation demonstrably manifests this restraint being removed. There are many instances of the apparent reprobate (upside-down) thinking I could mention. I will mention only the fact–to reiterate for the hundredth time—the US president and his secretary of state moving heaven and earth to placate the blood-vowed enemies of America and Israel whom they call the “Great Satan” and the “Little Satan.” At the same time, this administration moves ever farther away from Israel, our staunchest and most trustworthy ally on the planet.

Sin-insanity has infected the highest echelons of US and other earthly governments. Leaders can’t seem to find their way to their cocktail parties, much less to the table of common sense, while they interact diplomatically in these strange times, which are almost certainly near the very end of the age. So, why has the Lord allowed such leaders in such high places–those who are showing themselves in most cases to be the very minions of Satan? I believe that at least part of the answer resides within what God has told us as follows:

For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth. Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth. Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will? Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour? What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory, Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles? (Romans 9:17-24)

Temple Mount Trouble

Great article this week over on RaptureReady.com in their Nearing Midnight commentary.

Todd lays out what we are seeing take place as the ice thaws with the Jewish people around the idea of a Third Temple.

There is also a great book out there that everyone should read discussing the true location of the Temple Mount based on Biblical archeology and investigation that is going on using the Bible and other historical documents and first hand account of the times since the destruction of the second temple.  Fascinating read!

Temple Mount Trouble

Tensions over Jerusalem’s Temple Mount have been rapidly building in the past several weeks. What started out as a minor disagreement over access to religious sites in the Old City, has now reached the point of becoming a major conflict between the Arabs and Jews.

The bloodshed started with the attempted assassination of Jewish activist, Yehuda Glick, 48, who led efforts to allow Jews to pray on the Temple Mount. Glick was shot multiple times by Palestinian, Moataz Hijazi. He was quickly declared a martyr after he was killed by Israeli police. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said that he died, “While defending his people’s rights and the holiness of sanctuaries (Temple Mount).”

Despite the fact that all the acts of murder have been committed by Palestinians, Israel is seen as primarily responsible for maintaining the peace. After one outbreak of violence, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry came over to lecture Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the need for Israel to take action to restore calm.

The conflict reached a demonic level of madness with a brazen assault on a Jerusalem synagogue. In that attack, four rabbis were brutally murdered as they prayed, and one policeman lost his life. Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas condemned the synagogue attack, but his statement also urged Israel to “halt its provocations.”

It’s becoming increasingly difficult to understand what Palestinians see as a provocation. Their concerns over the Temple Mount appear more like the raging rants of paranoid mad men. Last week, they accused Israel of allowing Muslim holy sites on the Temple Mount to become “contaminated.” In another message they said the Al-Aqsa mosque was in danger of being destroyed by “extremist settlers.” The Palestinians also fear that Israel plans to declare sovereignty over the Temple Mount.

The Temple Mount area is currently under Islamic control. During the Six-Day War in 1967, Israel seized control of East Jerusalem, including the Temple Mount. As a gesture of goodwill, Israeli General Moshe Dyan decided to allow the Islamic Waqf trust, to continue running the site.

For a long time the mindset of most Israelis has been that the Temple Mount is off limits to them. Rabbi Ovadia Yosef had even set forth a prohibition on Jews entering the Temple Mount based on the idea that the Temple area was “ritually impure as a result of contact with the dead (for which there is no possibility of purification in our time.”)

In recent years, many Jews are starting to question the restrictions placed on them to access the Temple Mount. The problem with the impurity of the Temple Mount can be dealt with by using biblical remedies (like the Ashes of the Red Heifer). There is no remedy in getting the Arabs to share access to the Temple area.

All efforts at appeasement have been futile. The Palestine Liberation Organization is so rabidly opposed to Jewish access to the mount, they have gone to the ridiculous length of declaring that the Jews have no historical connection to the Temple Mount, and it is “null and void” to use the term.

Another factor that is changing the Israeli view about the Temple Mount is the realization that the Al-Aqsa Mosque may not be outside of the sanctified area. Chief Rabbi Ramat Gan, one of the leading rabbis of the religious Zionist movement, recently said, “They say we want the Al-Aqsa (Mosque). Who wants the Al-Aqsa? It’s outside of the Temple Mount. It’s very possible that it will remain even when the Temple is rebuilt!”

Satan will most likely do everything in his power to hinder the Jews from rebuilding the Temple. He has been using the Palestinians as a proxy to oppose Jewish interests on the mount. His fate is directly tied to this plot of land. Once the go ahead is given for the building of the Tribulation Temple, a countdown clock to his doom will be set into motion.

End-time prophecy tells us that the Tribulation will start with the Antichrist signing a peace agreement between Israel and her Arab neighbors, one that will validate rights for Jews to worship at a rebuilt Temple. Unless the devil can come up with some delaying tactic, we may be very near to the Tribulation hour.

“And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate” (Daniel 9:27).

We are well down the path of Zechariah 12:3 fulfillment.

The world is upside down.  We tear down Israel, but work to build a peace agreement with Iran.
