I feel like we are being setup. Maybe “conditioned” is a better term. It is a slow creeping persecution that has taken 20-30 years to crescendo. It is a war on beliefs. It is a war on speech. It is intimidation at its core and it is from Satan.
What am I talking about? I am talking about the slow death we are experiencing through “political correctness”, PC and the manufactured “outrage” that usually follows.
This really struck a chord with me while watching some MSM interviews of strong Christians. The last straw probably started with the Franklin Graham interview and snapped as I watched the Kirk Cameron and Michelle Bachmann interviews yesterday and today.
This PC concept seems to expand every so often to restrict our rights further with each expansion. This period expansion seems to be around the concept of “Judgment”. It appears now that by stating our beliefs and opinions as Christians, we are “judging” others and causing them to be “offended” (the last few years major expansion).
Not only can we not express our beliefs but when asked directly by these same people what our beliefs are we are to bite our tongues or lie. Otherwise we will offend and judge others.
That in and of itself is simply evil in nature and persecution of Christians. But Satan has taken it a step further this year. Not only can’t we say it , but now our actions and “forced support of” is being “required”. Examples abound, protected group legislation, hate speech expansion, public mandatory health care, contraceptives, blocking home-schooling and what we teach our kids, etc.
Sure they are not bombing us or shooting us in the streets as our blessed brothers and sisters in Christ overseas, but maybe that is on the horizon.
What did he just say? Stick with me here, I will explain.
Much of prophecy is “in the process” of fulfillment. A lot of the time people who study prophecy will refer to it as “stage setting”. I feel this falls into that category.
We have seen a steady ramp in both the level of “outrage” as well as the “punishment” for causing that “outrage”. What use to be a simple “disclaimer” added to our beliefs has now escalated to public verbal beatings in the media which has led to destruction of careers and livelihoods.
What is next? Where do they escalate from here? Do we see anything in end times prophecy that would require control of human beliefs, especially Christians?
I would say, yes.
We see in Revelations, statements about the Antichrist’s control over the residents of this world. He implements the mark of the beast to control all facets of our lives: buying, selling, health services, transportation, who we worship? etc. And what is the price paid for not submitting to the mark?
Death!
What is the reason for the death sentence?
Our Beliefs!
Wow, you say, that is quite a jump! yes it is pretty shocking but we are being conditioned to believe that Christian beliefs are radical, extreme, offensive, judgmental, hateful, and bigoted.
Who, other than a Christian or Jew, would not see that some sort of punishment should be leveled for beliefs that match those adjectives / labels.
Still death seems pretty extreme?
Well consider that the church will have already been removed so the Antichrist can take center stage. The world will be filled with hate and violence (as in the days of Noah and Lot). I don’t think it would be a stretch to say the punishment of death being accepted by the residents of this world for those that are “hateful”, “judgmental”, “bigoted”, “offensive”, and “un-repentant”.
We are being conditioned and the stage is being set for the Antichrist to burst onto the world stage.
Our blessed hope is that we will be removed prior. We are not of this world but are living in it. We must be bold in our beliefs and faith so that as many souls as possible can be saved when Christ returns for His church, His bride!
