It is such a slippery slope we are on, things are picking up speed as we hurl toward Christ’s return.  You can see the hedge of protection being lifted all around us as our society truly becomes a non-christian society.  The speed of events is simply overwhelming.

As I have read articles over the last few weeks (some listed below), I am shocked by the speed of events, even though I know they are coming I still find myself taken aback.  We must reach out to the lost and spiritually captive before it is too late.  Be the light during these dark times.  Simplify our lives, become not of this world but merely living in it as a beacon of light because the end is drawing near and will be upon us when they do not expect it, in the blink of any eye.

Matthew 24 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

Signs of Christ’s Return

24 Jesus came out from the temple and was going away when His disciples came up to point out the temple buildings to Him. And He said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Truly I say to you, not one stone here will be left upon another, which will not be torn down.”

As He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”

And Jesus answered and said to them, “See to it that no one misleads you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many. You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes. But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs.

“Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name. 10 At that time many will fall away and will betray one another and hate one another. 11 Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many. 12 Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold. 13 But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved. 14 This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.

Remember, the darker it gets, the brighter and farther our little light shines!

Supreme Court extends gay marriage nationwide
The Supreme Court declared Friday that same-sex couples have a right to marry anywhere in the United States, a historic culmination of two decades of litigation over gay marriage and gay rights generally. Gay and lesbian couples already could marry in 36 states and the District of Columbia. The court’s 5-4 ruling means the remaining 14 states, in the South and Midwest, will have to stop enforcing their bans on same-sex marriage.

Vatican Signs Historic First Accord with ‘Palestine’
The Vatican on Friday signed an historic first accord with “Palestine,” two years after officially recognizing the Palestinian Authority (PA) as a state. The accord, a treaty covering the life and activity of the Church in Judea and Samaria, was the first since the Vatican made the controversial step of recognition in February 2013. Signing international treaties unilaterally is a breach of the 1993 Oslo Accords which created the PA.

Bold statement but if you objectively look at the facts and have been keeping up with all the headlines, I am not sure you can come up with any other answer.

He keeps it very politically centered but the fact alone that he seems to wish the Islamic community well wishes on each Islamic holiday but yet remains silent on the Christian and Jewish persecution around the world, genocide in some cases, is enough reason to lead you to this conclusion.  Allen also does not mention this administrations stance on Israel and the conflict they are facing, check out the other article links in previous posts.

Allen West Declares Obama An Islamist

Former Florida Rep. Allen West declared President Obama an Islamist who is intentionally working against the security of the United States.

“The only plausible explanation for many actions taken by President Obama and his administration is that they are working counter to the security of the United States of America,” the former Florida congressman and retired U.S. Army lieutenant colonel wrote in the post published Wednesday.

Among six examples he gives to back up his point is Obama’s decision to release of five Taliban in exchange for Sgt. Bergdahl in May, providing weapons of support to the Egyptian government led by the Muslim Brotherhood, and negotiating with Hamas.

He also writes at length about Obama’s recent decision to lift a ban on Libyan’s attending U.S. flight schools and studying nuclear science, which had been in place since 1983.

“Can anyone explain what the strategy and objective is here in lifting this ban with a nation that is or should be on the terrorist watch list?” he asks. ”Sorry, but I can only explain this one way: Barack Hussein Obama is an Islamist in his foreign policy perspectives and supports their cause.”

“The pivot away from the Middle East seems to be nothing more than an opportunity to enable Islamists and their goals,” he continues. “Anyone supporting this Libyan ban being lifted is indeed an enemy of this state.”

In Romans 10 Paul lays out how salvation is open to all, Jew and Gentile.  He writes:

“For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.” – Romans 10:4-5

What he is saying is now it is not about works or how closely to a “T” you follow the law.  But that it is through God’s gift of grace through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ.  It is really that simple, and yet a hard step for some of us.

“That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” – Romans 10:9

Christ is the narrow gate (Matthew 7:13-14), through faith in Him you will be saved.  It is the only “works” that God requires for eternal salvation.

It is The Gospel of Jesus Christ.  To learn more check out the following link.

Unbelievable. (Actually it’s not to those of us who are watchful.  Not sure why I keep using that word but it just seem to spill out of my mouth/head.)

I think we can officially say that Israel stands alone.

We all knew it in our hearts that this is what our current administration believed but now we see God’s prophecy coming true.  How many of us would have believed 8-10 years ago that Israel could be left to stand alone, with the US still being a nation.

It is a good point to review that we should never doubt God’s word and his prophecies.  He has never been wrong, why is it we struggle with having faith in that versus the deception this world spews.

Report: Obama informally partnering with Iran to not back Israeli attack

Once again Obama is trying to protect his own interests instead of what’s best for the world siding with Iran over Israel:

YNET NEWSWashington reportedly sends Tehran indirect message saying it will not back Israeli strike on nuclear facilities as long as Iran refrains from attacking American facilities in Persian Gulf

The United States has indirectly informed Iran, via two European nations, that it would not back an Israeli strike against the country’s nuclear facilities, as long as Tehran refrains from attacking American interests in the Persian Gulf, Yedioth Ahronoth reported Monday.

According to the report, Washington used covert back-channels in Europe to clarify that the US does not intend to back Israel in a strike that may spark a regional conflict.

In return, Washington reportedly expects Iran to steer clear of strategic American assets in the Persian Gulf, such as military bases and aircraft carriers.

Israeli officials reported an unprecedented low in the two nations’ defense ties, which stems from the Obama administration’s desire to warn Israel against mounting an uncoordinated attack on Iran.

The New York Times reported Monday that US President Barack Obama is promoting a series of steps meant to curb an Israeli offensive against Iran, while forcing the Islamic Republic to take the nuclear negotiations more seriously.

One of the steps considered is “an official declaration by Obama about what might bring about American military action, as well as covert activities that have been previously considered and rejected,” the report said.

Several of Obama’s top advisors believe that Jerusalem is seeking an unequivocal American statement regarding a US strike on Iran – should it actively pursue a nuclear bomb.

Israel hopes such a statement is made during Obama’s address before the UN General Assembly on September 25.

If you’re not certain you’re saved, here is what you should do, right now:
  1. Acknowledge that you have sinned against a holy God and ask for forgiveness (even if you don’t feel you deserve it) (Rom. 3:23).  Genuinely feel the pain of your sin and be willing to turn from it (repent) (Acts 3:19).
  2. Believe in your heart and mind that Jesus is the Son of God, that he died on the cross for you (John 3:1-18) in your place, and was raised back to life.  There is no one else you can turn to (John 14:6): “I am the way and the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me.”
  3. Confess that you are trusting Jesus as your personal Savior.  Since Jesus is alive, you can talk to him.  This is called prayer.  So talk to him right now, in your own words, accept his invitation to know him.
It’s simple faith through grace, the kind of faith a little child would have.
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this not of yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Eph. 2:8-9)
Welcome brother or sister in Christ!  This is just the start of the journey, we are called to live in this world but not be of this world.  Begin studying God’s word (the Bible) daily to give you the strength and wisdom to live this calling out.  There are many sites like this that can help you as well.

It is amazing what is occurring these days.  Once one opens their eyes, the battle we are in is apparent.  I am not talking out a physical battle or struggle but a spiritual one.  Through a combination of deception, ignorance, and naivety:  we find ourselves in an incredible situation.

How can a group boldly make the threats and statements that this Islamic organization makes without any thought of backlash?  The audacity of their statement is almost beyond belief, but you know what, this world will submit and is submitting one little piece at a time.  It will be interesting to see if any MSM outlets pick up on this. Any bets?

My bet is none will.  It really shows how far gone we are as a nation (world) and the late hour we find ourselves in.  I am not saying the people of our nation are gone,  but we have lost control of the “machine” that controls much of our lives.  Too many are asleep and caught up in this world.  I am glad to see WND will not back down.  They need our support and prayers.

In the end, the question is as Paul stated in Romans 12:1-3.

Romans 12:1-3 – (NKJV)

1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.  3 For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.

Are you of this world, conforming to it, or part of Christ’s kingdom and just a visitor?

God Bless!

Islamic group threatens WND

A man who says he represents the United Muslim Nations International organization has warned WND to “moderate” its reporting on issues involving Islam because of how Muslims may react.

The warning came in an email to WND from Faarooq al Mohammedi, who said he was asking on behalf of the Muslim organization that WND “comply as it would be in the companies (sic) best interest as we would not want to take you down the same rout (sic) as we have with other non-complaint media firms.”

The email warned WND to take “extra precaution when publishing religiously sensitive material or in creating religiously sensitive suspicions about peoples (sic) religious beliefs and practices.”

He threatened, “We would appreciate it if you could tighten your screening and moderation processes of articles to be published, any fake material published by WND will be taken as a breach of world news standards, religiously sensitive matters are to be based on solid and undeniable facts, failure to produce proofs of such published articles will give us no option but to bring about the complete removal of WND online as well as from the public in any print media.”

The essence of the warning was that WND needed to project an attitude of dhimmitude, the subservient role demanded of nonbelievers in a Muslim society. Dhimmis “recognize” their inferior status and appropriately serve the master Muslims.

More eruptons from Merapi…

Indonesia’s Merapi volcano erupts again

SLEMAN, Indonesia, Oct 28 (Reuters) – Indonesia’s Mount Merapi volcano erupted again on Thursday, blasting vast ash clouds into the sky and unleashing jets of searing gas, two days after an initial eruption killed at least 34 people. There were no immediate reports of casualties. More than 40,000 people had fled or been evacuated from Merapi’s slopes ahead of the previous eruption, but many had started to return after the volcano appeared to become calmer on Wednesday. Indonesia is also dealing with the aftermath of a tsunami that killed at least 343 people in remote western islands on Monday.

Indonesian Volcano Mount Merapi Erupts

MOUNT MERAPI, Indonesia (Oct. 26) — Doctors and television reports say at least 19 people were killed when Indonesia’s most volatile volcano erupted.

Scientists have warned that pressure building beneath Mount Merapi’s lava dome could trigger its most powerful blast in years.
But some vulcanologists are saying that while a big eruption is still possible, the mountain appears to be letting off steam slowly.

The death toll was quickly climbing, however.

Hospital officials said a baby died Tuesday when a mother ran in panic after Merapi started rumbling. Three other villagers died from serious burns.

Metro TV reported that 15 other bodies were found in several houses. It carried footage of corpses being carried to waiting vehicles.

Two major earthquakes occurred today, luckily no tsunami was generated.  The Birth pains are firing up again, here comes another contraction.

Matthew 24:7-8 (NIV) – “7Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8All these are the beginning of birth pains.”

Twin quakes strike Indonesia

TWIN earthquakes struck early today off the coast of Papau, the largest province of Indonesia, the US Geological Survey said.

The first 6.6 magnitude tremor struck at 2.10am local time near the southern coast of Papau at a depth of 21.2km.

The second, measuring 7.2, struck at 2.11am local time.

Local officials warned the second quake had the potential to trigger a tsunami, AP reported.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.

It rattled the town of Tual on nearby Maluku island, said Fauzi, chief of the Indonesian meteorological and geophysics agency, who had no further reports from the field.

The area closest to the epicentre is a remote, sparsely populated part of the country. It is located some 2900 kilometres east of the capital, Jakarta.

It is closer to Darwin, which sits some 900 kilometres to the south.

Indonesia straddles a series of fault lines that make the vast island nation prone to volcanic and seismic activity.

Interesting article…not just because of an unidentified helicopter but…

Did you know we still have forces involved in Mogadishu?

Did you know about the U.S. military’s Special Operations Command Africa?

Or the U.S. Africa Command?

Or that we have 7,100 African Union peacekeepers in Mogadishu?

We have so many “conflicts”, “wars”, areas that need peace keepers that its hard to keep track.

I am sure back in the simpler days of Jesus all of these fell under the collective title “wars and rumors of wars”.

Can you imagine him calling it the “oversea contingency operation and rumors of oversea contingency operation”?

No, I couldn’t either.  Luckily for us he kept it simple and said:

“6You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8All these are the beginning of birth pains.” – Matthew 24:6-8 (NIV)

Whose helicopter is it? Report of attack on Somali coast town leaves unanswered questions

MOGADISHU, Somalia –  MOGADISHU, Somalia (AP) — U.S. military officials and the European Union Naval Force denied on Monday that one of their helicopters was involved in an exchange of fire reported by residents of a coastal town in Somalia.

Residents of the coastal town of Merca, about 50 miles (70 kilometers) southwest of Mogadishu, said a military helicopter flew over the town on Sunday and that militants fired on it. Some residents said the helicopter fired back but caused no major damage.

But no one seems to know who the helicopter belongs to.

Some interesting video’s on what is being developed in St. Louis.

Chipless RFID technology.

That’s right, no chip, it is electronic ink that is used to write a mark on the skin that can be read with normal RFID technology.  It takes less than 20 seconds.

Currently the main use is for livestock but the vendor, Somark, says the ink is safe for use on humans.

Eerie, how things are advancing.  Do I think we are going to be rounded up next week? No.  It is just the puzzle pieces falling into place for the perfect time when the Antichrist rises.

Revelation 13:15-17 (NIV) – He was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that it could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed. He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.”

Russia favours boosting the UN central role in world affairs.

This came in a statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry following Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov’s meeting with the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on the sidelines of the ongoing 65th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

The meeting proved a showdown of views on a number of problems that feature prominently on the UN agenda, with an emphasis laid on a settlement of regional conflicts, as well as on action on the Millennium Development Goals project.

Italy seizes 7 tonnes of Iranian explosive in port

REGGIO DI CALABRIA, Italy – Italian authorities have seized 7 tones of powerful RDX explosive being shipped from Iran to Syria, police said on Wednesday.

Anti-mafia police found the cargo in a shipping container on a Liberian-registered ship that docked in the Calabrian port of Gioia Tauro in southern Italy last month and said it would have been enough to destroy the port.

The cargo, hidden among packs of powdered milk, was seized on August 27 but police, who were tipped off by intelligence services, did not make an announcement until this week.

Good article on the extent to which our government is going today.  GPS and tracking device technology, use to be something from a Bond movie, but today it is being used more and more.  Something you may not have thought about, I know I hadn’t, is found in the court’s ruling:

The court said that a person “who knows all of another’s travels can deduce whether he is a weekly churchgoer, a heavy drinker, a regular at the gym, an unfaithful husband, an outpatient receiving medical treatment, an associate of particular individuals or political groups — and not just one such fact about a person, but all such facts.”

Think about that, does that sound like something that would be useful to a global government that is set up to control everything about our lives, including a mark in which they control all sales and purchases?

The Obama administration has urged a federal appeals court to allow the government, without a court warrant, to affix GPS devices on suspects’ vehicles to track their every move.

The Justice Department is demanding a federal appeals court rehear a case in which it reversed the conviction and life sentence of a cocaine dealer whose vehicle was tracked via GPS for a month, without a court warrant. The authorities then obtained warrants to search and find drugs in the locations where defendant Antoine Jones had travelled.

The administration, in urging the full U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia to reverse a three-judge panel’s August ruling from the same court, said Monday that Americans should expect no privacy while in public.

“We would like to see our region free of nuclear weapons,” Gul said in the interview. “The region should not be under such a threat.”

UNITED NATIONS, Sept 20 (Reuters) – U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon pressed debt-ridden donor countries on Monday not to cut aid to the poor despite their budgetary woes.

“We should not balance budgets on the backs of the poor,” Ban told 140 leaders at the start of a three-day summit to review progress in meeting U.N. poverty goals by 2015.

More details on the global financial tax to help cut extreme poverty.

The money raise would go to pay for the UN Millennium Development Goals, ah those MDG’s.

Europe leaders urge bank tax to battle poverty

European leaders stepped up demands for a global financial tax on Monday as they faced mounting calls for money to pay for the Millennium Goals battle to cut extreme poverty.

President Nicolas Sarkozy of France and Spain’s Prime Minister Jose Luis Zapatero said they would press for the new tax at international summits.

The world’s wealthy countries face growing pressure at the three day Millennium Development Goals (MDG) summit to contribute more to the drive to eradicate poverty and improve child and maternal health.

African nations in particular are calling for more action and the West can expect little sympathy when the likes of Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad speak on Tuesday.

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said the struggling effort to reach eight key development goals by 2015 could still be met if world leaders provide the necessary money and political will.

More concern and fear on food shortages and rising prices.  The impacts of devastated Russian crops will be felt world-wide.

Revelation 6:6 (NIV) – “Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, “A quart of wheat for a day’s wages, and three quarts of barley for a day’s wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!”

Russian crop misery spreads to world’s supermarkets

The hulking green combine tractor clatters across a wheat field at the sprawling Maslovka farm, a typical autumn scene in Russia’s agricultural heartland.

This year however, the machine is not harvesting wheat but ploughing dead crops back into the cracked, sun-scorched earth, a symbol of a land hit by an unprecedented summer drought and savage forest fires.

“These are scary times,” says Karpa Osipova, 84, who lives on Lenin Street, a few blocks from the Maslovka farm.

“The prices of crops are slowly rising, and my pension isn’t big enough,” says Osipova. “I don’t even know how I am going to be able to afford bread.”

The situation on Maslovka farm will affect not just whether Osipova gets her daily loaf of bread, but may also have a far-reaching impact on global bread supplies and food prices.

More rumors of war and tension surrounding the middle east, Iran and the US.  It is interesting that the Iranian General used very similar statements.

President Ahmedinejad Threatens U.S. With War ‘Without Boundaries’

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad warned the Obama administration today that if Iran’s nuclear facilities are attacked, the U.S. will face a war that “would know no boundaries.”

The Iranian president, who is in New York for the annual meetings of the United Nations General Assembly, spoke at a breakfast meeting with reporters and editors at Manhattan’s Warwick Hotel.

He said that Iran is on the brink of becoming a nuclear power, and warned Israel and the U.S. against attacking its nuclear facilities.

Asked about the possibility of a U.S.-supported Israeli air strike against Iran, the fiery Iranian leader said an attack would be considered an act of war, and suggested the U.S. is unprepared for the consequences. Such a war “would know no boundaries,” Ahmedinejad said. “War is not just bombs.”

Big decision tomorrow…

Do we fire up the printing press for another…gulp…1-2 trillion dollars?

Quantitative Easing = print money to cover purchase

This is one of the triggers we have been watching that could signal our collapse and make way for global currency and eventually global government.

We will see, tomorrow is the first decision point…

Fed Mulls Trillion-Dollar Policy Question

How much of a boost to the U.S. recovery could another trillion dollars or two buy?

United States Federal Reserve. Leaders at the Fed meet Tuesday to analyze the benefits of increasing the money supply.

That’s a tricky question for the Federal Reserve when it meets Tuesday to debate what would warrant pumping more money into the financial system.

To battle the financial crisis, the Fed bought $1.7 trillion of longer-term Treasury and mortgage-related bonds, supplementing its pledge to keep interest rates near zero for a long time.

All told, it helped stabilize a collapsing financial system and to avert what could have been a second Great Depression.

Now, faced with a 9.6 percent jobless rate and below-target inflation, Fed policymakers are trying to gauge how much they could achieve if they resume massive quantitative easing.

Few analysts expect the Fed to launch a new round of bond buying this week, and uncertainty over the impact of fresh moves may be a factor keeping the central bank on the sidelines.

“I think part of the hesitancy of the committee to use quantitative easing a second time around relates to views of its effectiveness,” said Vince Reinhart, a former Fed staffer.

Here is an article about the US that toward the end makes mention that Spain is forcing private retirement accounts to purchase government debt.

“And that is if the government itself does not confiscate pensions and retirement savings and demand that they be put into soon-to-be-worthless government debt. Far fetched? Spain’s secretary of state for social security, Octavio Granada, was recently quoted as saying that by the end of 2010 some 90% of all Spanish pension savings will be “invested” in domestic government debt. Spain isn’t some 3rd world banana republic and they are already moving strongly in this direction. With trillion dollar deficits as far as the eye can see, where else can the US Government hope to get the money to fund all their debt?”

As he stated, Spain is not a third world country, this was also done in Argentina but that was written off as being a developing nation struggling with hyperinflation.  Spain is like us, just smaller and a few steps ahead.

There are a lot of other good points in this article, I just wanted to bring your attention to what Spain has done, based on what I posted earlier.

A Generational Perfect Storm – Boomerang Kids Meet the Homeless Baby Boomers

When times are good, or at least relatively good, unsustainable trends can appear sustainable. The now-aging baby boomers who had a lot of their wealth tied up in their home and the stock market were feeling great. They had just come off of a 20 year super-bull market in equities and up until 2007 they were seeing the value of their home increase by leaps and bounds every year.

Sure, their kids were scraping by on credit card and student loan debt. But there were jobs to be found and even if they couldn’t scrape by they could always count on some help, and even housing, from Mom and Pop.

A good article from Israel Watch, a weekly commentary by Jim Fletcher.

This week his commentary addresses the churches stance on Israel.

Unfortunately, we are not all on the same path or with one voice for Israel…

A Side Issue

Increasingly, I feel ill winds blowing for Israel. On all fronts, the Jewish state is threatened, and most of them we expect. The PLO, foreign diplomats, various terrorist groups worldwide, dictators like Hugo Chavez…these are the obvious villains. They deserve the label.

Yet the threat that bothers me most is the one from the Church. The subject itself is controversial, and even diabolical in that many of those who “oppose Joshua” today would deny that they do!

This is Brilliant!

How much more efficient would this be than our current system?

If we send the government our entire paycheck each week and then they tell us how much of it we can have.

Oh, can’t wait till this comes across the pond!

Seriously, how much more primed to we need to be for total government control of our lives?

Answer, not much if this passes…

British Government to Seize All Paychecks

Paul Joseph Watson & Alex Jones
September 20, 2010

Forget big government – the same elite whose policies caused the financial collapse are now ready to launch the next phase of their fascist takeover of the economy – by forcing businesses to send employee paychecks straight to the government, who would then deduct the “appropriate tax” before the employee receives their wage, as the statist cancer of collectivism grows.

The proposal represents another hammer blow to financial privacy, as the establishment moves towards a total cashless society where every transaction is tracked, traced and controlled by the authorities.

“The UK’s tax collection agency is putting forth a proposal that all employers send employee paychecks to the government, after which the government would deduct what it deems as the appropriate tax and the pay the employee’s by bank transfer,” reports CNBC.

The system would be run by the same organization, Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC), that has become notorious for its botched handling of data and incorrect tax calculations which have forced people to spend months and even years trying to claim back unfairly claimed money seized by the taxman.

But this story is about far more than the threat of mere bureaucracy or bumbling incompetence – this is about the (more…)

We have progressed to the point that they are not even trying to hide it any more.  My favorite line is:

The international nature of these global goals leaves individual nations struggling for effective solutions that transcend their borders. That’s where “global governance” comes in.

I love that, “That’s where ‘global governance’ come in.”  Woo Hoo!

They continue:

It works to create international structures capable of dealing with issues of global significance, and the closer the MDGs come to their deadline of 2015 the clearer multinational cooperation becomes.

Ah those MDGs, the United Nations Millennium Development Goals.

There you have it.  If you want an even more in-depth look at the UN’s plans and hurdles, check out the link below to a post I made earlier.  Must See: Global Governance:  Here is the playbook…

Millennium Goals pose test to global governance structures

After the UN set ambitious goals for improving the lives of millions of people, global governance has come to the fore. When addressing issues of worldwide significance many nations need to be at the table, experts say.

The United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDG) include pledges to wipe out extreme poverty, achieve universal primary education, promote gender equality, reduce rates of child mortality, fight epidemic diseases, and develop a global partnership for development.

The international nature of these global goals leaves individual nations struggling for effective solutions that transcend their borders. That’s where “global governance” comes in. It works to create international structures capable of dealing with issues of global significance, and the closer the MDGs come to their deadline of 2015 the clearer multinational cooperation becomes.

States’ changing role

“The old idea was that nation states need to be as independent as possible to be responsible to their own population,” said Dirk Messner, director of the German Development Institute. “It’s now become clear that we are dealing with global interdependencies and that we have to politically organize them.”

So a surprise to whom is my only question?

Wall Street’s Engines of Profit Are Freezing Up

Inside the great investment houses on Wall Street, business has taken a surprising turn — downward.

Even after taxpayer bailouts restored bankers’ profits and pay, the great Wall Street money machine is decelerating. Big financial institutions, including commercial banks, are still making a lot of money. But given unease in the financial markets and the economy, brokerages and investment banks are not making nearly as much as their executives, employees and investors had hoped.

After an unusually sharp slowdown in trading this summer, analysts are rethinking their profit forecasts for 2010.

The activities at the heart of what Wall Street does — selling and trading stocks and bonds, and advising on mergers — are running at levels well below where they were at this point last year, said Meredith Whitney, a bank analyst who was among the first to warn of the subprime mortgage disaster and its impact on big banks.

Worldwide, the number of stock offerings is down 15 percent from this time last year, while bond issuance is off 25 percent, according to Capital IQ, a research firm. Based on these trends, Ms. Whitney predicts that annual revenue from Wall Street’s main businesses will drop 25 percent, to around $42 billion in 2010, from $56 billion last year.

We really have no idea what the Israelis have to deal with.

Can you imagine someone getting the death penalty for selling you land?

No wonder tensions are so high…

PA affirms death penalty for land sales to Israelis

The PA says the land law is necessary to prevent the expansion of Jewish settlements in the West Bank and east Jerusalem.

The Palestinian Authority on Sunday reaffirmed the death penalty for any Palestinian found guilty of selling land to Israelis.

The decision came in response to a ruling by a Palestinian court according to which such acts were only a “minor offense.”

PA Prosecutor-General Ahmed al-Mughni appealed against the ruling to a higher court, arguing that the sale of land to Israelis was a “major offense” punishable by death.

The appeal was accepted.

More Global talk, if you can’t get something passed at the nation level, kick it up to the Global level where individuals may not have a chance to vote on it…remember ‘net neutrality’, this is his big brother…

Global ‘internet treaty’ proposed

Deal would enshrine in law the founding principles of open standards and net neutrality, and protect the web from political interference.

The proposal was presented at the Internet Governance Forum in Lithuania last week, and outlined 12 “principles of internet governance”, including a commitment from countries to sustain the technological foundations that underpin the web’s infrastructure.

The draft law has been likened to the Space Treaty, signed in 1967, which stated that space exploration should be carried out for the benefit of all nations, and guaranteed “free access to all areas of celestial bodies”.

Under the proposed terms of the law, there would be cross-border co-operation between countries to identify and address security vulnerability and protect the network from possible cyber attacks or cyber terrorism.

It would also uphold rights to freedom of expression and association, and the principle of net neutrality, in which all internet traffic is treated equally across the network.

“The fundamental functions and the core principles of the internet must be preserved in all layers of the internet architecture with a view to guaranteeing the interoperability of networks in terms of infrastructures, services and contents,” reads the proposal.

“The end-to-end principle should be protected globally.”

Signs of growing and spreading pestilence throughout the world…

Bangladesh: 585 people contracted anthrax since August

Bangladesh’s government says anthrax has spread in the country, with some 585 people contracting the disease since late August. The government’s Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research released the figures Monday, reporting cases of anthrax in 12 of the country’s 64 districts.

So far, none of the victims have died and none are seriously ill.

While anthrax is not new to Bangladesh, there’s no record of it spreading so widely. The institute said that initially, 38 villagers were sickened by the bacterial disease in northern Sirajganj district after infected cows were slaughtered. Humans typically get anthrax from touching infected animals or animal products. Human infections are potentially fatal. (AP)

Great article on nations world-wide beginning to falter and crumble.  They have based their governments on failed ideas and policies: fiat currency, spending driven economy, huge debt, no balance, tax the few to support the many.

It is the same all over, all that have tried it, are failing.  But it is not just a reflection on the failed ideas, it is setting the stage for one world government.

There are several articles I have posted on their plans, just sort by the “one world government” category on the right.

The stage is set. When will enough domino’s fall?  What will be the trigger?

Again, great article.

Signs Of A Crumbling Regime

September 20, 2010 by Bob Livingston

Signs Of A Crumbling Regime

Can you see it? The signs are everywhere. The regime is crumbling.

No not the President Barack Obama regime, though that is part of it; maybe even the catalyst in the United States, at least. I’m talking about the regime in general; the system.

You can see it in places like Greece. There the government has been fighting for its economic life. Years of socialist redistribution — theft from the producers to finance the growing State leviathan and unionized public and private sector employees — have caught up.

The government is now instituting “austerity” measures. It has to. It can’t meet its obligations. So it’s cutting back on growth in salaries, vacation days, benefits and pensions. Unionized public works employees and service employees aren’t happy their gravy train has jumped the tracks. They strike and riot. Greece may or may not survive.

Much the same is going on in other parts of Europe. The French government’s plans to save money by raising the retirement age to 62 from 60 sparked a one-day strike among workers from the public and private sectors in transportation, education, justice, healthcare, media and banking.

The “little people” are waking up to the fact that their governments — the elected class — have done them a disservice. Their regimes, financed by fiat money and having positioned themselves as the “Great Nannies,” are unable to fulfill promises of utopia, wine and roses.

Part of the reason, Israel is being so stubborn on the settlement freeze, is the fact that the Palestinians will not recognize Israel as a Jewish state.

This is getting little press, as God predicted it would, all the pressure would be on Israel.  This article has an interesting twist based on the refusal to recognize Israel.

It seems like a very reasonable, logical step to discuss.  How will the media frame the issue?

Lieberman: Peace talks must reassess Israeli-Arabs’ right to citizenship

With the Palestinians refusing to recognize Israel as a Jewish state, negotiations must tackle issue of Israeli-Arab ‘loyalty’, foreign minister says – prompting accusations of ‘apartheid and ethnic cleansing’ from Arab MK.

The question of Israeli citizenship must play a central role in Middle East peace talks, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said on Sunday, suggesting that “disloyal” Arab-Israelis should take Palestinian citizenship.

“The question of Israel’s citizens needs to be one of the central issues on the negotiating table, in light of the Palestinian refusal to recognize Israel as a Jewish state,” Lieberman said ahead of Sunday’s weekly cabinet meeting in Jerusalem.

Recognizing Israel as uniquely Jewish is one of the key demands by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the latest peace talks with the Palestinians, which began earlier this month.

Peace process has hit its first snag, with all of the pressure turning on Israel and the eyes of the world on the settlement building freeze expiration date.  Just as God had prophesied!

Mideast officials fly to US as talks crisis looms

Top Israeli and Palestinian officials on Sunday headed for the United States where they were expected to seek ways to break a deadlock over settlements which is threatening to sabotage peace talks.

Israeli President Shimon Peres left shortly after midnight on a four-day visit to coincide with the UN General Assembly meeting in New York, and a few hours later Defence Minister Ehud Barak set off for talks in Washington.

Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas, currently in Amman, was also to fly to New York on Sunday evening for the annual sitting, with efforts under way to arrange a meeting with US President Barack Obama, a senior Palestinian official told AFP.

“There are also preparations for a meeting between (Israeli premier Benjamin) Netanyahu, Obama and Abbas,” he said. “There is an expectation that they will meet.”

Netanyahu’s office said he had no plans to fly to the United States this week, and would not say whether he would meet Abbas before the settlements freeze expires later this month.

More positioning and preparation for Israel, it will be interesting if we follow through or play the same games Russia has with Iran and Syria.

Barak: US will supply Israel with bunker busters

Defense minister to meet with top US security officials in DC; Jerusalem believes Washington will agree to supply Israel with advanced cruise missiles, bombs designed to penetrate underground facilities

Defense Minister Ehud Barak is visiting Washington once again ahead of planned meetings with top security officials in the American administration.

Barak is expected to meet several top ranking officials Monday in order to secure new and advanced weaponry for Israel, especially in view of the latest arms deals in the Middle East.

The recent Russian ballistic missile sale to Syria and the arms deal between the US and Saudi Arabia, have Israel seeking to widen the technological gap in warfare between the IDF and Arab militaries.

Jerusalem is optimistic and believes Washington will agree to meet previously declined demands for advanced weaponry, such as “bunker busters” – bombs which are designed to penetrate hardened undergound targets – such as bunkers, as implied by their name – as well as advanced cruise missiles.

The other half of Rapture Ready’s Nearing Midnight series this week.  Very good!

Promise of His Coming

A biblically prophetic reality that perfectly fits our present day, and that has been looked at a number of times, is the forewarning given by the apostle Peter especially to the generation alive at the end of the Church Age:

Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, “Where is the promise of his coming?” for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. (2 Pet 3:3-4)

Almost in every case of looking at this prophecy, the point has been exclusively dwelt upon that both the religious and non-religious of the world mockingly chide those of us who believe Jesus Christ will return to planet Earth. This is a prophecy that has observably come to pass in our time.

However, it is the phrase “promise of his coming” I would like to consider here, rather than the chiding sarcasm of the mockers.

Good Article from Rapture Ready’s weekly Nearing Midnight section.  Follow up to my “Atlas just Shrugged” post earlier in the week.

I have also included the video link below in the article:

Precious Metals: “The Canary In the Coal Mine”

The precious metals market has been on fire. Last week, gold hit a fresh all-time high and silver reached a new two-year high. In London, spot bullion hit a nominal record of $1,286 a troy ounce. The yellow metal has risen 17 percent since January. Gold is heading for its tenth consecutive annual gain, the longest winning streak since at least 1920.

For those that have not read Atlas Shrugged, it was set in a very similar situation.

All of the producers and successful people were vilified and shut down through government intervention, regulation, or other backroom deals, always for the “good of the people”.  So they just started disappearing?  Decided to leave.

This is a great article below of what we are doing to our country.  Anytime you have 50% of the country not paying any taxes and 2% paying more than the other 98% something is seriously wrong.

Will we see an exodus, it is still yet to be seen, but the fact that more and more people are becoming vocal about it, is surely a sign.

America is not mentioned in the end times, our economic might will have fallen.  Could we be exporting it?

From a different angle, we can imagine what would happen to our society if all of the economic producers left.  What do you think will happen, when all of the “moral” producers (restrainers) leave (are taken)?  What would the world be like?

America: Love it or (if you’re rich enough) leave it?

Glen Esnard, a Newport Beach executive for real estate services firm Grubb & Ellis, went to bat in the Wall Street Journal last week for high-income-earners who believe it’s unfair that their tax rates should rise on Jan. 1, as President Obama proposes.

Esnard also suggested that the answer might be for the better-heeled to find a new country.

So for some reason this headline on fox caught my eye, something just drew me to read it.  And I am glad I did, the story is very different from the headline.  And I was taken back at how it is being treated.

This exact same story could have been told a lot different and not strayed from the stated facts.  Now, I am not supporting or condemning the actions of this group, just using it as an example of how things are starting to change/transition.

Those that believe in the inerrant word of the Bible, fundamentalists, those that believe in the end times, are going to be shifted to ‘cult’ or ‘cult-like’ in the not so distant future, in fact you could argue they already are by the existence of this story.

The two areas that struck me the most were first when the article’s author stated that:

“…they were awaiting the Rapture, which some Christians believe is an event during which they will be gathered together in the air and reunited with Christ.”

Some, not most, or almost all, or fundamentalists.  Only some Christians believe.  This article really drives home a glimpse of what it may be like after the “event” that evidently only “some” Christians believe will occur.

Second, was how they described the group.

Chicas apparently had formed her own religious group, Parker said. About 12 to 15 people would gather at her home in Palmdale, a high-desert city of 139,000, and one night about a week ago, they didn’t leave until 2 a.m., said neighbor Cheri Kofahl.

“We’ve got a group here that’s practicing some orthodox and some unorthodox Christianity,” Parker said. “Obviously this falls under the unorthodox.”

Others who knew Chicas said she was devout but hardly fanatic in her religious beliefs.

So let me get this right.  We have about 12 to 15 people gathering in a woman’s home to study the bible at night and staying late occasionally.  And that is considered practicing unorthodox Christianity?

Normally that would be called a bible study in the US, or in other countries that would be called the house church.  How many disciples did Jesus have?  Twelve, and where did they meet most of the time?  Oh, in people’s houses at night over a meal.

How far have we strayed as a world?  Can you feel the shift?

Israel is preparing as well.  They are well aware of the alliance forming against them and the multi-front war that is looming.  The groups and countries he mentioned in the article align with the Psalm 83 map…  Prophecy is taking shape just as God said it would.  He has been 100% right to date, why should we thing that would change.

Psalm 83:3-8 “With cunning they conspire against your people; they plot against those you cherish.  4 “Come,” they say, “let us destroy them as a nation, that the name of Israel be remembered no more.”  5 With one mind they plot together;  they form an alliance against you- 6 the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, of Moab and the Hagrites, 7 Gebal, Ammon and Amalek, Philistia, with the people of Tyre.  8 Even Assyria has joined them to lend strength to the descendants of Lot.  Selah”

Suddenly, the Toyota Land Cruiser comes to a halt as a massive Merkava Mk 2 battle tank takes the place of the gazelles, raises its cannon and lets loose a thunder of shells at a target somewhere off in the distance.

“You have the order to fire,” the brigade commander says into the radio. A minute later, an old Syrian Soviet-made tank – left over from the Yom Kippur War – is attacked from multiple tanks and directions.
