Interesting article…not just because of an unidentified helicopter but…
Did you know we still have forces involved in Mogadishu?
Did you know about the U.S. military’s Special Operations Command Africa?
Or the U.S. Africa Command?
Or that we have 7,100 African Union peacekeepers in Mogadishu?
We have so many “conflicts”, “wars”, areas that need peace keepers that its hard to keep track.
I am sure back in the simpler days of Jesus all of these fell under the collective title “wars and rumors of wars”.
Can you imagine him calling it the “oversea contingency operation and rumors of oversea contingency operation”?
No, I couldn’t either. Luckily for us he kept it simple and said:
“6You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8All these are the beginning of birth pains.” – Matthew 24:6-8 (NIV)

Whose helicopter is it? Report of attack on Somali coast town leaves unanswered questions
MOGADISHU, Somalia – MOGADISHU, Somalia (AP) — U.S. military officials and the European Union Naval Force denied on Monday that one of their helicopters was involved in an exchange of fire reported by residents of a coastal town in Somalia.
Residents of the coastal town of Merca, about 50 miles (70 kilometers) southwest of Mogadishu, said a military helicopter flew over the town on Sunday and that militants fired on it. Some residents said the helicopter fired back but caused no major damage.
But no one seems to know who the helicopter belongs to.

It’s not just wars and rumors of wars we are seeing and dealing with as a world but also a new kind of war. Wars fought without uniforms and by unconventional means. More signs, check out the stats below:
According to a Wikipedia list of wars, the past 500 years have witnessed an increase in the frequency of wars:
15th Century – 29 wars
16th Century – 59 wars
17th Century – 75 wars
18th Century – 69 wars
19th Century – 294 wars
20th Century – 278 wars (wars transformed to unconventional as well)
The first decade of the 21st Century has already witnessed 55 wars, putting humanity on course for 550 wars over the next one hundred year period.
Have these wars increased in intensity? Yes.
Matthew 24:4-8 (NIV) – “4Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 6You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8All these are the beginning of birth pains.”

Escalation continues in parallel with peace talks. These events will eventually lead to the Psalm 83 war. The Peace talks success runs counter to the prophecy of the Psalms 83 war. All the players are at the table and waiting….

IDF kills Hamas military commander in West Bank
IDF says strongman ran towards soldiers in threatening manner, ignored requests to stop, resulting in him being shot.
IDF soldiers killed a Hamas military commander overnight Thursday during security operations east of the West Bank city of Tulkarm, the IDF spokesperson’s Unit said in a statement on Friday morning.
The statement said that the Hamas member, Iyad Abu Shalabiya, ran towards IDF soldiers in a threatening manner, and had ignored the IDF’s requests to cease his approach, resulting in him being shot.
Miltary sources said that Shalabiya spent several years in Israeli prisons and was wanted for questioning.
Twelve other suspects were arrested during the raid
The circumstances of the incident are under investigation.
The shooting comes two days after 10 rockets and mortar shells – including two containing phosphorus – were fired into Israel from the Gaza Strip as defense officials predicted that the violence would quiet down after Succot.
Rockets and shells pounded the Eshkol region throughout the day. One of the rockets – a 122-mm. Katyusha – hit just north of Ashkelon. No injuries or damage were reported.
