Here is a timeline of what is coming our way this month. While I was at work today, I had a feeling come over me that I needed to layout this timeline on my site this evening. There is just so much coming our way and intersecting later this month. Low and behold, I open up Frank DiMora’s site and he has laid out just such a timeline.
The Lord works in mysterious and wonderful ways!

Since I have been warning you about all the events that are supposed to occur in the month of September in many of my posts, I wanted to give you a list of events that are supposed to be played out.
World and natural events continue to escalate at an alarming rate. The economy continues its slide into the abyss. Seismographic and volcanic activity are at historic highs and have risen dramatically in the last fee weeks. Comet Elenin approaches and may be signaling the event we have been preaching about called the Rapture. Bible prophecy continues to prove that the Bible is the true word of God.
Too much is happening to go over it all. Following is a list upcoming dates and their events and afterwards a commentary on the more important ones.
Sept 7: Obama to make speech on jobs and economy. Don’t expect to much from this speech!
Sept 11: Ten year anniversary of an events that began taking our rights in the name of safety and the illegal wars in the middle east.). Possible terror event to keep the population scared.
Sept 11: Comet Elenin’s closest point to the Sun, which some say will be the cause of some huge quakes.
Sept 11: The Movement for the Establishment of the Temple will hold a “Temple Feast” to bring attention to their cause. This article is short and worth reading. You can see how Revelation 11:1 is coming into play. The confirmation of the covenant in Daniel 9:27 will give the Jews the right to build the temple (it will be built during the Tribulation) and the Antichrist will go into this temple at the 42 month mark, claim to be God, and set up the abomination that causes desolation (Daniel 9, Matthew 24). This is very exciting and amazing. We are seeing signs all around us that Christ and the Lord foretold us would come as signposts that Christ’s return was near! The Last Days…the rapture…

We will see this play out in the heavens over the next couple months, September and October, 2011. Lets review the key actors or players in this signs in heaven.
Elenin – Comet or Dwarf Star (headed our way)
Moon – Earth’s Moon
Venus – Christ/Church (sometimes called the “morning star” which christ also refered to himself as.)
Revelation 22:16 – “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright MorningStar.”
Saturn – Dragon/Cronus
Sun – Our Sun
So lets break this down:
Revelations 12:1 – 1 A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head.
The woman is the constellation Virgo, she will be clothed in the sun (wearing the sun as a tunic) the moon will be under (at) her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head (Virgo has 12 stars that make up her head) and the Comet Elenin with its tail will shine like a blue crown in her head.

Here is what we will see on September 26th, 2011 in the eastern sky.
Notice she is clothed in the sun. The other players Venus, Saturn, our Moon, and Elenin are moving into position.
Revelations 12:2 – She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth.
Elein will shift up toward Virgo’s face and the comet tail makes it look like she is crying. I do not have a screen shot of this but he mentions it in the video and you can see it by playing the stary night application. Venus is also moving into Virgo’s womb as if she is pregnant with child (Venus). You will notice that Elenin is making its way past the sun and toward her head, Venus and Saturn are moving into her midsection, and the Moon is dropping toward her feet.
Revelations 12:3-4 – Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on its heads. 4 Its tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that it might devour her child the moment he was born.
Saturn is known to represent Cronus, which is known as the dragon. If you look up Cronus in Wikipedia, it talks about the legend of Cronus devouring his children as he feared they would fulfill the prophecy of replacing him. Saturn this whole time all of these heavenly bodies are moving through the heavens is sitting still waiting for the birth of Venus (the morning star) so he can devour him.

Venus has moved fully into her womb, she is still clothed in Sun, Elenin is moving into position to show as tears during the birth, and the moon has dropped further toward her feet. Saturn (the dragon) still waits by Venus to devour him once birthed.
September 29th (below) – Feast of Trumpets:
Venus and Saturn remain in her womb. The sun cloths her and Elenin is moving into her hair to show as a crown. The Moon its decent into a position by her feet.

Revelations 12:5 – 5 She gave birth to a son, a male child, who “will rule all the nations with an iron scepter.” And her child was snatched up to God and to his throne.
This is associated with Jesus Christ and the Church being snatched up to God and his throne. Christ was taken up to heaven to rule with the Church (his bride) by His side following the rapture.
Revelations 12:6 -The woman fled into the wilderness to a place prepared for her by God, where she might be taken care of for 1,260 days.
Foreshadows the nation of Israel fleeing into the hills after the rise of the Antichrist, the dragon, that has tried for the length of history to devour God’s Son, Christ, his chosen people Israel, and Christ’s bride, the Church.

I hope you get a chance to watch the entire video about the signs of what is to come. It is very exciting and amazing to see God’s word play out in front of our eyes! Christ said we need to stay watchful during these last days. We need to wake up those that aren’t.
This was a conference that Joel Rosenberg put on the last couple years, it is great to hear so I thought I would post for others to enjoy. There are 9 segments but each is only 10-12 minutes long.
I have always seemed to have a heightened sensitivity to deception. I realize now that it is a gift from God and is one of several promptings that led me to begin this website.
I had this growing sense of deception everywhere I turned. I would come home and tell my wife, the deception “out there” is suffocating. I couldn’t see why others couldn’t see it, I assumed they sensed it the same way I did. I truly believe it is the tool God used to wake me up.
Joel does a great job in this pair of video’s in laying out how so many will be deceived and lead astray and what to look out for. We need to be on guard and knowledgeable in God’s Word during these last days, so we will not fall into “even the elect will be led astray”.
In the near future there will be an evacuation of all Christians from Planet Earth, the dead and the living. The time of this evacuation will not be known until it happens. You must be ready at all times in order to take part in this evacuation.
How do I know if I am ready? If you know and have trusted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior you are ready.
How do I prepare myself for this evacuation? If you have not already done so you must:
(1) Admit to God you are a sinner.
(2) Believe in your heart that Jesus died for your sins and rose again from the dead.
(3) Speak from your mouth Jesus as Lord and ask Him to save you.
What about those who have died before us? Those who have received Jesus as Lord and Savior will rise first, then we who are still alive will be caught up together with them to meet the Lord in the air. Those who died without Jesus will remain in hell until the great white throne judgment.
Where will we be taken? We will be taken up from Planet Earth to meet the Lord in the air, exact location not known at this time.
How will we be transported? We will all be supernaturally lifted into the air to wherever we are to meet Jesus.
What if the atmosphere where we meet is unbreathable? God will provide all of us with immortal bodies capable of living wherever we go.
What if I am left behind? You will find yourself in a world of chaos, evil and deception. All restraint on evil will be removed once the Christians are taken up, the world will be filled with violence, and your life will be in constant danger. You will have to endure the judgments of God which will be poured out on Earth at that time. If you die without Jesus you will spend eternity in torment in hell. You don’t want to be here after the Christians are gone.

A spectacular series of events are coming together in the heavens and in the news that are either an incredible series of coincidences, or else they are the prophetic fulfillment of Revelation chapter 12. I believe these signs are prophetic fulfillment, and they are telling us that Daniel’s 70th week is about to begin.
Let me begin by saying that I have no idea when the rapture of the Church is going to take place. James, the brother of Jesus, told us that God is busy taking a people for Himself from among the Gentiles (Acts15:13-18). The only thing that is holding up the rapture is the arrival of the full number of Gentiles which God has determined in advance (Romans11:25and Acts15:13-18). We have no way of knowing what this number is, so we have no way of knowing when the rapture is going to take place. To make things even more impossible, we do not know how many people are already in heaven or at what rate they are arriving.
This article is not about when the rapture of the Church will happen. Instead, it deals with the beginning of Daniel’s 70th week and the 7 year period of tribulation that begins at the same time, complete with 3 sets of 7 judgments upon mankind. If you should happen to believe in a pre-tribulation rapture, as I do, then you will know that the rapture can (and most probably will) happen sooner that most believers expect.
Astrology is a sin and is strictly forbidden by God. However, God does use the position of the sun, moon, and stars to indicate certain holy days, feast dates, seasons, and even how to calculate the length of months and years. God used a sign in the heaven to guide the wise men to the infant Jesus. I have always believed that the moon, the stars, the planets, and all of the other lights in the heavens, such as galaxies, nebulas, asteroids, and even comets, are God’s jewelry which He has put on display for our enjoyment and for us to wonder at as we ponder His immense greatness. God wants us to admire his magnificence in the heavens, but he does not want us to worship anything that is there, other than Himself.
At the moment the comet Elenin is passing through our solar system. In ancient times, comets were seen as being messengers that brought warnings of natural disasters and times of tribulation on the earth. Could Elenin be a sign of the beginning of the 7 year period of tribulation before the 2nd Coming of our Lord, which we more accurately refer to as Daniel’s 70th Week? Or is Elenin’s appearance at this time and place in the sky just a series of coincidences that only appears to be a fulfillment of Revelation 12?
And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars; and she was with child; and she cried out, being in labor and in pain to give birth. And another sign appeared in heaven: and behold, a great red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and on his head were seven diadems. And his tail swept away a third of the stars of heaven, and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she gave birth he might devour her child. (Revelation 12: 1-4 NAS).
And when the dragon saw that he was thrown down to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male child (Revelation 12:13 NAS).
And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went off to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus (Revelation 12:17 NAS).
During the second half of September, the comet Elenin will be in the constellation of Virgo, the virgin. The sun will also be in Virgo, so the woman (Virgo) will be clothed with the sun. At the same time, the moon will be at the feet of Virgo. During the latter part of September, Elenin moves up the face of Virgo to a place where it would almost appear to be the tears coming from Virgo’s eye as she cries out in pain as she is about to give birth. Then Elenin moves further up Virgo’s face to rest on the top of her head, like a crown. Actually, it will look like a tiara among twelve stars above Virgo’s head. All of this will fall into place onSeptember 29, 2011.
Comets are rare, and for one to appear in this scenario with Virgo, the sun, moon, Saturn, and Venus would be incredibly rare, indeed. But there is more. . .
The planet Venus is in the mid-section of Virgo as if it were a child in its mother’s womb. Saturn is also present and in the right position, as if it were a dragon waiting for the child to be born, so that it could devour the child.
Perhaps it is just coincidence, but in the world of legend and the occult the Roman deity, Saturn, has always been regarded as a dragon and was identified with the deity Cronus. According to legend of Cronus, he was to be killed by one of his children, so Cronus would wait nearby each time one of his children was to be born and then he would devour the child as soon as it was delivered.
In Revelation 12 the woman represents the nation of Israel. When the dragon persecutes the woman and makes war with the rest of her offspring we will be experiencing the 7 year tribulation period of Daniel’s 70th week.
I am not attempting to predict the exact date that Daniel’s 70th Week will begin. What I am saying is that a remarkable series of signs are coming together on the last couple of days of September that certainly seem to warn of the imminent resumption of Daniel’s 70th Week and the 7 year period of tribulation on the earth which is a part of Daniel’s 70th Week.

I am sure this is just a coincidence as well, but during the second week in September the Palestinians are going to seek full membership in the United Nations based on the borders prior to the war in 1967, withEast Jerusalemas their capital. God has made it very clear that He will not tolerate anyone taking land from His chosen people and He is particularly sensitive about His holy city,Jerusalem. I believe that if anyone wants to look for prophetic signposts they need to watchIsrael, and particularlyJerusalem. God considersIsrael, and particularlyJerusalem, to be the center of the world. I am not predicting that worldwide tribulation might break out because of these actions by the Palestinians. After all, things have been real peaceful and lovingly quiet over there for years – right? I am just glad that I will be on the opposite side of the planet on that day and if you find me hiding in a deep cave, that will just be a coincidence as well.
The Bible tells us that in the last daysIsraelwill be all alone in the world with few, if any, friends. The Lord warnedIsraelthat they would be hated and persecuted by all nations because of Him (Revelation 12:9). TheUnited Statesis one of only five nations that have veto power in the United Nations. If theUnited Statesshould fail to veto statehood for the Palestinians, this final piece of prophecy would come to pass.
Speaking of coincidences, the first day of Rosh Hashanah occurs on September 29, 2011(Tishrei 1). This is the Jewish New Year and it also the day that some believe is the actual birthday of Jesus. This could certainly be as good of a time as any for Daniel’s 70th Week to randomly begin ticking away again.
When the prophet Daniel was about 80 years old the angel Gabriel gave him a prophecy about the future. This prophecy is recorded in the chapter 9 of the Book of Daniel, and is often referred to as God’s Prophetic Time Clock.Israelwas given 70 weeks of years (490 years) to accomplish 6 goals. It further says that after 69 of those 70 weeks (483 years) the Messiah would come but would be rejected and killed, theTemplewould be destroyed, the prophetic time clock would stop, and the people would be dispersed. We know that during a gap in time of unspecified length God would take a people for Himself from among the Gentiles. When the full number of those Gentiles has “come in” God will turn His attention back toIsrael, and the clock will start running again for the last week (7 years). This is where, I believe, we are now – just seconds away from the clock beginning to tick again.
Rosh Hashanah is also known as the Feast of Trumpets. In the New Testament there are two very special occasions for the blowing of trumpets. They are the rapture and the 2nd Coming.
Rosh Hashanah takes place at the time of the new moon, rather than a full moon, when only a tiny sliver of its surface is visible. The timing of the new moon is difficult to predict, and a minimum of two visual sightings are required to confirm it. For this reason, Rosh Hashanah has come to be known as the feast where “no one knows the day or the hour”. It is also interesting to note that Jesus told us in 4 places in the Bible that “no one knows the day or hour” of His return. This is pure speculation on my part, but wouldn’t it be a remarkable coincidence if He was actually giving us a hint as to what day to look for His return?
Actually, I believe there are incredibly few things which occur in our universe that are truly random. Our God is an incredibly precise God and everything we see in our universe, from the motion of the planets and stars, to the microscopic world of the building blocks of life, to the infinitesimally small world of atomic particles, are incredibly precise. I believe that God rarely ever uses the word “approximately.” This is why I find it so hard to believe that either the rapture or the 2nd Coming of our Lord will occur on a day which has no special significance other than being the day when the counter on the gates of heaven just happen to click on the pre-determined number set in advance by God. Several thousand years from now when we are all sitting around in the New Jerusalem reminiscing about how it was “back in the day” on the “Big E” (earth), I am certain that there will be armchair quarterbacks with their 20/20 hindsight who will be proclaiming how they cannot possibly understand why the people on earth could have missed all of the signs and not possibly known the exact day of both the rapture and the 2nd Coming. What they will fail to realize is that looking backward is easy. Trying to interpret the signs of the times in advance is almost impossible because there are so many of them. There are so many signs out there it is becoming increasingly difficult to see the road.
There are many other events happening in the world at this moment that suggest the start of Daniel’s 70th Week is at hand. Daniel’s 70th Week will begin with a series of 3 sets of 7 judgments that will start off bad and get progressively worse until, the Bible tells us, all life will be destroyed if God does not intervene to stop them. The beginning of these judgments involves the four horsemen of the apocalypse which we find in chapter 6 of Revelation.
The first horseman rides a white horse and represents the anti-Christ, who goes forth conquering and to conquer (Revelation 6:2). The entire Islamic world is in turmoil at the moment and is without a leader. This huge power vacuum is going to be filled with somebody very soon because nature does not like a vacuum. I shudder to think who this person will be, but if he is the leader of all of the angry Muslims out there, he is not going to be a very nice guy.
The second horseman rides a red horse and is going to take peace from the earth (Revelation 6:3-4). I can certainly see how theMiddle Eastis ready to explode into war and pull the rest of the world into the conflict. In fact, I am truly amazed that we have had peace for this long.
The third horseman rides a black horse and is going to bring famine and economic collapse (Revelation 6:5-6). As I sit here and type, there are 12 million people inAfricawho are starving in the severest drought in 60 years. In fact, this drought has been declared the worst humanitarian crisis in all of history. North Koreais also experiencing severe famine, as well as parts ofChina,India,Pakistan, and many other parts of the world. As for economic collapse, most of the world’s countries are in serious economic trouble withGreece,Ireland,Spain,Italy, andPortugalon the verge of default. TheUnited Statesis not doing real well at the moment, either.
The fourth horseman rides a pale horse and brings death, followed by hell (Revelation 6:7-8). One-fourth of the world’s population will die in the seal judgments (Revelation 6:8), and a third of those who survive will die in the trumpet judgments (Revelation9:15). I can certainly see how deaths could easily number into the hundreds of millions as a result of the first three horsemen riding forth. I can also see how hell could follow closely behind. There will be incredibly few believers around when the four horsemen start their ride, especially if the rapture of the Church has already occurred. Unbelievers who die go to hell, yet I seriously doubt that there are any unbelievers in hell once they get there.
When I look at conditions in the world at this moment, I cannot help but wonder how things could have become this bad without Daniel’s 70th Week actually starting, but we still have to see someone confirm a covenant, or series of covenants, with Israel (Daniel 9:27).
I am sure that it is also a coincidence, but September is when the “don’t ask, don’t tell” restrictions will be officially lifted in our military and homosexuals will obtain the special, privileged status they have sought after for so long. September is also when Egyptis scheduled to have its elections in which the Muslim Brotherhood is expected to win. September 11, 2011, will also be the 10th anniversary of when our nation was attacked.
God has given each of us gifts in this life and we are expected to be good stewards of both our lives and these gifts. If we think that we know the date when our Lord will return, it is important that we continue to be good stewards of our lives and our gifts until the Lord actually arrives. It is also very important that we do not cause any of our brothers or sisters to be harmed by our guessing. The most important thing for us to do is to be ready when the Lord does arrive.

One of the big items that looks to be aligning with other prophecy events this September is ELENIN showing up and crossing between Earth and our Sun. There has been much mystery about how big this object is and what exactly it is but we do know it will be showing up with its closest approach to earth on 9/29/11. Does that date ring any bells? It is this years Feast of Trumpets! Wow!
This is something you should look into as it has impacts across multiple prophecies. There is still a lot of varying information out there on the name and size of the object but the most recent sizing is much larger than Frank has in his post below. Current estimates show that it exceeds 200,000 km in size. Just for comparison sakes, the Earth is a little under 18,000 km in diameter with the Sun weighing in a little over 1,300,000 km. So it is 16 X the size of Earth. Something to pay attention to? Government experts are saying it will have no impact on earth. Does that seem logical? Possible?
The gravitational impact of something like that on our planet could be significant. Could it produce some of the events the bible speaks of? I would say yes. I will post more as I uncover it and verify it.

Prophecy Sign: Jesus in Luke 21:11, 25 warn us of the signs that will come from the sun, the moon, and the stars. Finally in the main stream news today CNN has reported on this object coming toward Earth. This is the object that will arrive during the Feast of Trumpets. Will this huge mass cause the “great earthquakes and the roaring of the seas and waves Jesus warned us about? Stay tuned, September is just around the corner.
Nov 9, 2011 the earth will supposedly cross the threshold of the debris tail of ELENIN on the same plain (assuming ELENIN is a real object that would be catastrophic).
This is a cool interactive NASA chart displaying the comets trajectory through the solar system:
ELENIN, according to some researchers stands for Extinction Level Event Notable Impact November — also encoded into the name is Elevin Nine (Nov. 9), and LEONID (a meteor shower that peaks in November).
So is NASA worried? Not on the surface. They did release this internal video for their employees concerning emergency preparedness, though:
This incoming object appears to be massive. The strange thing is that only a select few sources worldwide have seen the object a few of which we traced back to DARPA directly.
Big seems to be the appropriate word for we now have the first actual astronomical calculations that puts the coma (the part they can see is 50,000 miles in diameter) Yes a big rock!
“On April 8th at our Russian observatory we carried out planned observations of Comet C/2010 X1 (Elenin). An analysis of the results of the observations shows a rapid growth of the coma. Besides the internal compact gas envelope, the forming rarified external coma is also visible in the image.
Its diameter exceeds 1 minute of arc, or 80,000 km! It is possible that such a rapid growth of the coma is associated with the apparent superposition over it of the comet’s dust tail, which after opposition, still remains invisible to the earthly observer.”
The coma is what astronomers actually see and is actually much bigger than the core. It’s the green in the second above picture that they are saying is 80,000 km or 50,000 miles across. We could estimate that the core might be half the diameter of the coma or approximately 25,000 miles. Big enough—it seems to be already stirring up the Earth under our feet.
We have news out of Cornell University that sustains the view that Elenin is playing a direct part in causing large earthquakes.

These two shows show exactly what is headed our way over the next 6-9 months. It aligns with what God told us would happen during the last days. Please take the time to listen and ponder his words and His word… pray on it, what is truth? It is so clouded these days with all of the deception. Time is short, where do you stand!
This morning, on NBC’s top-rated show, “Today,” Matt Lauer spent considerable time with Colton Burpo, the young boy from Nebraska who claims that he visited heaven during an operation that saved his life.
Colton’s story became a New York Times, non-fiction, best-seller called “Heaven Is For Real.” But the Today Show was not the young man’s first big media interview, he’s been on other national tv shows including a Fox News Network appearance last Fall with Gretchen Carlson.
After this moving interview, the Colton Burpo story took a strange turn.
While doing some background interview for this story, I also stumbled into a clip of MSNBC‘s ’rising star’ Cenk Uygur. Prior to sliding into the 6pm slot on MSNBC, Uygur hosted an internet-based political opinion show called The Young Turks.
I think about this topic a lot these days. What is the “Bottom Line” for Christians? Or better asked, What should be the “Bottom Line” for Christians? What does God want each of us doing, until he comes to take us away?
In layman’s terms, I think it is to wake people up. Turn them away from all of the distractions, Satan and the humanists have put into place. Turn them back to God and help guide them to salvation. The gift that God has laid out there for each of us. All we have to do is accept it.
But there is much to overcome, and for anyone who has tried, it is hard to shake people free of the trappings of this world. It feels like it is getting harder, people are more skeptical, more closed off, with hardened hearts. But Christ is clear, we must continue to try, though the hour is getting late. If we try and do not succeed, we must “shake the dust off” our sandals and move on to the next encounter just as Christ told his early disciples.
Matthew 10:14 (New King James Version) – 14 And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet.
Mark 6:11 (New King James Version) – 11 And whoever will not receive you nor hear you, when you depart from there, shake off the dust under your feet as a testimony against them. Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!”
Luke 9:5 (New King James Version) –5 And whoever will not receive you, when you go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet as a testimony against them.”
It is listed in three of the four Gospels, we should probably pay attention!
Global economic chaos is driving the distress and perplexity of the nations of planet earth. The words of the greatest of all prophets, Jesus Christ, echo in cavernous reverberation with each succeeding news report from the capitals of earth’s monetary centers.
“And there shall be…upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring” (Luke 21:25b).
Jesus’ Olivet Discourse spoke to conditions exponentially moved beyond norms. In other words, the “distress” and “perplexity” that nations will be experiencing as His Second Coming nears will be beyond any ever known by people of earth. And, in biblical terms, “seas and waves” refer to the masses of peoples. Jesus said that because there will be unprecedented distress and perplexity among the nations, the peoples populating those nations will be “roaring.”
“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” (Matt. 7:13-14)
This passage is often quoted in reference to the different roads traveled by unbelievers as opposed to believers. Unbelievers are said to be on a broad road with many fellow travelers, all on the way to their destruction. Believers on the other hand are a small segment of humanity and are on a narrow road to salvation. This difference is further defined by some as pertaining to our behavior. The unbeliever’s gate is wide and his road is broad, supposedly indicating that there’s room for all kinds of sinful behavior, while for the believer it’s a small gate and a narrow road suggesting that there’s very little latitude for misbehaving. A careless step or two and you may find yourself being rerouted onto the broad road.
“For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.”Psalm 107:9. Most of us studying prophecy know that the Rapture of the Church is on the near horizon. By studying the scriptures we can clearly find documentation focusing on that awesome event. The only part of the information concerning the rapture of Christ’s Church that will remain elusive is when the Rapture will occur. But as the psalmist says, God will fill a longing and hungry soul.
Sometimes I wonder, out of all those who believe Jesus will come and remove His Church from this planet, how many actually long for it and pray that it will happen, and that it will be soon. “When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.”Luke 11:2.
There’s a reason Jesus gave His disciples this prayer. It’s referred to by most as the Lord’s Prayer, but it should be called the Disciple’s Prayer. Jesus gave us that prayer to invoke God’s will. Each time we pray we should seek His will. What so many refuse to believe is that it’s His will that His Kingdom be set up here on earth. When Jesus finally sets up His earthly Kingdom after the battle of Armageddon His will will be done on earth, just as it is in Heaven.
Revelation 17-18 shows there are three components to the one world system of the Last Days. There’s a one world religion, a one world government, and a one world commercial system. All have been developing for longer than most people suspect and are rapidly coming to fulfillment. As this happens they’re becoming more and more obvious to the public. No longer just the realm of the fanatical conspiracy theorists, today only those who refuse to see are unaware of their existence.
The grace of God is a fundamental aspect of salvation and is the sole means by which man’s redemption is accomplished. The renowned classic hymn “Amazing Grace” is the best known hymn of the Christian Church and has been universally heard by both Christian and non-Christian alike. But what exactly is so amazing about this grace?
Like many theological words, the word and use of “grace” is one of the several common words Christians frequently use in their witness and testimony to the unbeliever without really defining and explaining what it exactly means. Grace has routinely been defined as the undeserved favor of God shown to man. Are you convinced that a Holy God could never love you? Many are.
To the contrary, some people ride high on the waves of egotism, either believing there is no God or they do not need God in their lives. These unfortunate souls seem to think their works, their education, their position in the community and/or church, and various other excuses make them a gift to God. This is not only sad, but tragic, because they can never know God until they see themselves as God sees them.
Going back to the other end of the spectrum, others are just the opposite. They are so down on themselves, they think God could never care about them. However, these dear folks are closer to being helped spiritually, than the proud mentioned earlier. Why? Over time I’ve received several questions along the line of the following one. “Why do you think that such an important occurrence as the rapture is spoken of so few times and why is it so “hidden” in scripture?”
It’s true the rapture is not mentioned very often, at least not directly. In fact, the Greek word from which we get the whole rapture idea appears only 13 times in the New Testament and and even then it comes to us in a roundabout way. The Greek word is harpazo and means to catch up or take by force. In most English translations of 1 Thes.4:17 it’s rendered “caught up”. The root from which it comes is haireo which means “to take for oneself.” 1 Thes. 4:17 is the only place the word harpazo refers to the rapture of the Church.
On top of that rapture is an English word that comes from the Latin translation of harpazo which is why you can’t find it in your Bible. You would have to read 1 Thes. 4:17 in Latin to see it there. (It appears as rapiemur.) Many people don’t realize that for the thousand years preceding the Reformation, the Latin Vulgate was the primary translation of the original Greek texts. It was the standard text longer than any other translation before or since.
Although the concept of the rapture appears through out the Bible it wasn’t until about 20 years after the cross that it was described in any detail. This is how Paul could say he was revealing a secret (Listen, I tell you a mystery) when he described it in 1 Cor. 15: 51-53. Together with 1 Thes. 4:15-17 it was the first clear teaching of the rapture in the history of mankind. Only with the benefit of Paul’s disclosure can you look back through the Bible and see the many hints of the rapture. (See Rapture References)
There was a good strategic reason to keep all this secret before the cross. Paul spoke of it in 1 Cor 2:7-8. Explaining that his message of wisdom was not taken from the wisdom of the world, he said,
There’s a lot of talk these days about how bad things are, and what we should be doing to protect ourselves. The internet is rich with advice. Some is competent and some is not, but almost all of it involves applying the ways of this world. Some advise us to stock up on stuff, so when there’s a shortage we won’t run out. Others say we should also buy precious metals to help preserve the value of our assets when inflation comes. The list goes on.
Some of this is OK, but there are a couple of things we should keep in mind when we’re trying to decide what to do. First, we should know that this advice assumes that the coming hard times are only temporary. You can’t stock up for life (or even a few years) and eventually you’ll need to convert your silver and gold back into money. So you can only think of these things as a bridge between prosperity past and prosperity future. But when there’s no prosperity future you’re only delaying the inevitable.
I don’t understand why more ministers and churches talk about prophecy.
It is so inspiring and reassuring that we believe in the One True God.
It affirms our faith and makes us stronger.
There is loads of information given as well as very good context.
I especially like the end of the 3rd and 4th segment. When he talks about the fiery furnace from Daniel as a picture of end times prophecy and also what the true test of belief in True Christ is that Jesus is God.
It is amazing how deep the Bible is and how much reassurance it can give us if we just look and listen.
It has so many layers that are reveled as you read it more and more. Also, learning the audiences and Jewish traditions helps uncover jewels like this.

It lays out in a very personal way, what salvation is suppose to be, the ultimate gift from God and how we can misinterpret it if we take it out of context.
I re-read this often as well as the similar verse from Paul in Ephesians.
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s workmanship created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” – Ephesians 2:8-10
Works do not give us our Salvation, it is a Gift from God and all we have to do is accept it. Once we have accepted the gift, we willingly and gratefully search and follow his will for our lives, which are the good works which He prepared for us in advance.

Example of Satan using all three from the very beginning:
Satan pulled that trick when he deceived Eve in the garden, and laid out his scheme for defeating mankind. He told Eve, in words as smooth as butter on a hot biscuit, “Has God indeed said ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?” [my italics] (Genesis 3:1b). This subtle inquiry tells Eve that God was holding out on her ”right to know everything” .
But, no, God said they could eat of every tree except the one in the midst of the garden, lest you die, she responds. The devil implies that God lied to her, that He is holding back vital information from her. He says God knows, if she eats of that tree, her eyes will be opened and she will be like God, knowing good from evil. She, now, has been set up, and she realizes that the fruit of the tree was “good for food’ (lust of the flesh), it was “pleasant to the eyes” (lust of the yes), and “it would make one wise” (the pride of life). It is just as John described it in I John 2:16.
We must be watchful, and study God’s Word and Jesus’ warnings…

This article sums up pretty well, the struggles I went through internally with God as he convinced me to launch this site. Since giving into His Will, I must confess, I have not felt any animosity toward non-believers or those that have not awoken yet. Instead, I feel this urgency to wake as many as I can before God’s timeline runs its course.
I use the term “wake up” simply because that is the feeling I felt when my eyes were open to looking at life through the third lens of scripture. Once I was awakened, all of the events took on a more positive note, more like amazement at God’s power and the Truth of His Word, then fear. Yes, these events still concern me and I sometimes lose sleep, but it is so much better than before I woke up.
One of the most false and cutting accusations launched at the belief that the Bible teaches that a person cannot lose his or her salvation when truly born again (John 3:3) is: “If you believe once saved, always saved, you are saying that people can live any way they want without fear of punishment.” Or so the line of condemning criticism goes.
The absolute assurance of eternal security, of course, engenders no such thought within the mind truly regenerated by the saving power of Jesus Christ. The Bible teaches that the Lord convicts His children in their spirits, and that habitual, unrepented-of sin will result in severe penalties–even physical death, in some cases. The Heavenly Father’s patience is longsuffering, but it is not infinite.
A person who is a child of God cannot sin without severe repercussions, if repentance isn’t forthcoming. But, that person will never be kicked out of God’s family. Never.
A kindred sort of accusation is thrown at those who believe in the Pre-Trib view of Bible prophecy. The Pre-Tribulation view, of course, is the one we at Rapture Ready believe God’s Word teaches. It is the view that Jesus Christ will call all who are born again to Himself before the Tribulation, which is the last seven years of history leading to the Second Advent (Rev. 19: 11).
The angry diatribe against the Pre-Trib Rapture view–by even genuine Christians, in many cases–usually goes something like this: “People like you, who believe that the Lord is going to rapture them before the Tribulation, think you can live however you want, because you think and teach falsely that you are going to be rescued before God’s judgment and wrath fall, no matter what.”
The non-Christian accusers who castigate those of us who hold the Pre-Trib rapture view have their own version. It goes something like: “Christians who believe like that don’t care anything about making the world better. You even hope for things to get worse and worse. You wish for earthquakes, famines, pestilence, war in the Middle East, and for Armageddon to hurry up and get here so you will go to your pie in the sky, and watch the rest of us get ours.”
Although the first criticism is absolutely not true, I have to admit that, regarding the second, too often I’ve sensed–even heard–such sentiments from some of those who believe in the Pre-Trib rapture. And, it is entirely the wrong attitude for the Christian to hold. There are no excuses for wanting the Christ-rejecting world of non-believers to be the recipients of God’s judgment and wrath. It is only by God’s unfathomable grace that every one of us isn’t headed into that time of unprecedented horror.
No matter how–to use Lot’s King James Version word–“vexed” we becomes by the debauched, debased actions of the lost world around us, our job as Christ’s children–His representatives here on earth–is of a completely different nature than wanting to see them “get what’s coming” to them. The changed nature produced by being born again into God’s eternal family should make you and me do just the opposite of wanting them, in our vexation, to get what we see as coming to them.
The Christian whose spirit is attuned to the Holy Spirit’s desire for the lost doesn’t want to see them “get what’s coming to them” either during the Tribulation or upon death. Rather, we want to do all within our power to keep them from having to go through the coming time of God’s judgment and wrath. That’s what Christ’s Great Commission to His disciples before He ascended to sit at the Father’s right hand is all about, you see. That is what God’s love–love that those who have Christ indwelling them possess–is all about. (Read Matthew 28:18-20.)
In the same vein, that’s what Bible prophecy is all about. Prophecy given in God’s Word has purpose–profound purpose. Bible prophecy has at its center the commission from the Lord to forewarn of God’s judgment and wrath to come upon all who oppose Him–the Lord of Heaven and Creator of all things. It is not the hatred of God for the lost people of this fallen planet that drives prophecy. It is the love of God that powers His prophetic Word. It must be the Christian’s desire, therefore, to study Bible prophecy and put forth those forewarnings out of a spirit of God’s love, not through an anger-filled abhorrence of those who are lost.
Christians who do study prophecy–and they seem to be few these days, I’m sad to have to say–are often heard wondering about when Christ will call the church (born-again believers) in the rapture. Everything seems so ripe for His plucking His people from this sin-darkened sphere.
Nothing and no one can change God’s timing for His next catastrophic intervention into earth’s history. It will happen exactly on time, as He has determined since before the foundation of this world. However, we might as believers look to ourselves for the Lord’s–often in our view–delay in calling us as outlined in 1 Corinthians 15:51-55 and 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18.
The apostle Peter gave the heart of the reason Christ hasn’t raptured His church: “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” (2 Pet. 3:9).
The purpose of Bible prophecy is to show the love of God to a lost and otherwise doomed world. God is not willing that anyone should perish (die in his or her sins), but that all should come to repentance (accept Jesus Christ as the one and only sacrifice for sin that God will accept).
The Lord is “longsuffering.” The reason, I’m convinced, that the Lord seems so “slack” to many in His coming is because those same people have neglected their duty to share the love of God with the lost–the lost whom God loves so very much that He sent His only begotten Son in order that they not perish.
It is well past the time for God’s people to begin investing in getting the message of the love of God to those who will otherwise not hear the warning of deadly things soon to befall this Christ-rejecting planet. Considering these times that so dramatically are signaling the coming Tribulation, Bible prophecy can and must be used as a productive tool for evangelism.
