I pulled just a few of the articles from the last 30 days or less.  Read through the headlines and then read Isaiah 17 and Psalms 83 below…

We are seeing these come to pass just as God said they would along with Isaiah 19 in Egypt.

Iran: Armageddon at hand, prepare for war
Iran is again asserting that Armageddon is at hand and that the Islamic regime’s followers, indeed all of Islam, must prepare for a monumental change in the world.

Iranian President-Elect Rouhani: Israel a ‘wound’ that must be removed
Iranian President-Elect Hassan Rouhani on Friday referred to Israel as a “wound” that has afflicted the Muslim world for years and must be removed, Iran’s Mehr News Agency reported. “The Zionist regime is a wound that has sat on the body of the Muslim world for years and needs to be removed,” Rouhani said at a demonstration in Tehran marking Al-Quds (Jerusalem) Day, an annual show of support for the Palestinian cause.

U.S. to Close Embassies in Middle East
Well, this is straight out of an episode of Homeland. According to a CNN investigation, dozens of CIA operatives were on the ground in Benghazi, Libya, for a top-secret operation on the night of the September 11 attack that killed four Americans. Damascus – Ruinous Heap, Fallen Ruin?

I came across this picture of Damascus at dusk and was taken back at how apocalyptic it looks.

It looks like something out of a terminator movie.  So little attention is being given to what is happening in Syria.

Prophecy is being fulfilled or is at least at the precipitous of being fulfilled.

And will become a fallen ruin.

In Romans 10 Paul lays out how salvation is open to all, Jew and Gentile.  He writes:

“For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.” – Romans 10:4-5

What he is saying is now it is not about works or how closely to a “T” you follow the law.  But that it is through God’s gift of grace through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ.  It is really that simple, and yet a hard step for some of us.

“That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” – Romans 10:9

Christ is the narrow gate (Matthew 7:13-14), through faith in Him you will be saved.  It is the only “works” that God requires for eternal salvation.

US: Time may come for special nuke probe of Syria

There are a couple of articles in the news this week that show a shift in focus from Iran to Syria.

Is this a shift from the staging of Ezekiel to Psalm 83?

I’m not sure but we know that the Psalm 83 war must occur before Ezekiel’s.  Syria was also a major concern during the Iraq war, if you remember, there was even intelligence that might be where the missing WMD’s ended up.

It is critical to understand who is involved with each conflict and makes up the alliances for each.

US: Time may come for special nuke probe of Syria

At IAEA meeting, Iranian official says reported Israeli strike on Syrian nuclear facility 3 years ago is the “real issue,” claims Damascus has fallen victim to a “vicious circle of endless questions and allegations.”

VIENNA — A US envoy on Thursday suggested time was running out for Syria to cooperate with a UN atomic agency probe of alleged secret nuclear activities before the agency invokes its seldom-used authority to call for a special inspection — a possible prelude to UN Security Council involvement.

Rising to Syria’s defense, a senior Iranian diplomat accused the organization — the International Atomic Energy Agency — of harassing Syria by leveling false allegations in collusion with Israel and its allies.
