Bancor: The Name Of The Global Currency That A Shocking IMF Report Is Proposing
Sometimes there are things that are so shocking that you just do not want to report them unless they can be completely and totally documented. Over the past few years, there have been many rumors about a coming global currency, but at times it has been difficult to pin down evidence that plans for such a currency are actually in the works. Not anymore. A paper entitled “Reserve Accumulation and International Monetary Stability” by the Strategy, Policy and Review Department of the IMF recommends that the world adopt a global currency called the “Bancor” and that a global central bank be established to administer that currency. The report is dated April 13, 2010 and a full copy can be read here. Unfortunately this is not hype and it is not a rumor. This is a very serious proposal in an official document from one of the mega-powerful institutions that is actually running the world economy. Anyone who follows the IMF knows that what the IMF wants, the IMF usually gets. So could a global currency known as the “Bancor” be on the horizon? That is now a legitimate question.
So where in the world did the name “Bancor” come from? Well, it turns out that “Bancor” is the name of a hypothetical world currency unit once suggested by John Maynard Keynes. Keynes was a world famous British economist who headed the World Banking Commission that created the IMF during the Breton Woods negotiations.

The bancor was a World Currency Unit of clearing that was proposed by John Maynard Keynes, as leader of the British delegation and chairman of the World Bank commission, in the negotiations that established the Bretton Woods system, but has not been implemented.

Does Viral Anti-Euro Rant Signal Rise of British ‘Tea Party?’
Nigel Farage may not be a name familiar name for many Americans, but his message to the European Union this week echoed the familiar anti-spending slogans of America’s tea party movement.
Earlier this week, Farage, the leader of the UK Independence Party and co-president of Europe of Freedom and Democracy (EFD), spoke out against the EU for allowing member states to get into debt and bailing them out at the expense of the ordinary people of Europe. All this in the name of cohesion, he suggests, marks significant threats to democracy.
“We don’t want that flag, we don’t want the anthem, we don’t want this political class,” Farage said. “We want the whole thing consigned to the dustbin of history.”
“Just who the hell do you think you people are? You are very, very dangerous people indeed,” he said. “Your obsession with creating this Euro-State means that you’re happy to destroy democracy. You appear to be happy for millions and millions of people to be unemployed and to be poor. Untold millions must suffer so that your Euro-Dream can continue.”
“If you rob people of their identity, if you rob them of their democracy, then all they are left with is nationalism and violence. I can only hope and pray that the euro project is destroyed by the markets before that really happens.”

EDITORIAL: Wave goodbye to Internet freedom
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is poised to add the Internet to its portfolio of regulated industries. The agency’s chairman, Julius Genachowski, announced Wednesday that he circulated draft rules he says will “preserve the freedom and openness of the Internet.” No statement could better reflect the gulf between the rhetoric and the reality of Obama administration policies.
With a straight face, Mr. Genachowski suggested that government red tape will increase the “freedom” of online services that have flourished because bureaucratic busybodies have been blocked from tinkering with the Web. Ordinarily, it would be appropriate at this point to supply an example from the proposed regulations illustrating the problem. Mr. Genachowski‘s draft document has over 550 footnotes and is stamped “non-public, for internal use only” to ensure nobody outside the agency sees it until the rules are approved in a scheduled Dec. 21 vote. So much for “openness.”

For the first time since 2008, inflation is hitting consumers in the stomach.
Grocery prices grew by more than 1 1/2 times the overall rate of inflation this year, outpaced only by costs of transportation and medical care, according to numbers released Wednesday by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Economists predict that this is only the beginning. Fueled by the higher costs of wheat, sugar, corn, soybeans and energy, shoppers could see as much as a 4 percent increase at the supermarket checkout next year.
“I noticed just this month that my grocery bill for the same old stuff – cereal, eggs, milk, orange juice, peanut butter, bread – spiked $25,” said Sue Perry, deputy editor of ShopSmart magazine, a nonprofit publication from Consumer Reports. “It was a bit of sticker shock.”

Perhaps the heaviest burden we try to carry is the burden of mistakes and failures. What do you do with your failures?
Even if you’ve fallen, even if you’ve failed, even if everyone else has rejected you, Christ will not turn away from you. He came first and foremost to those who have no hope. He goes to those no one else would go to and says, “I’ll give you eternity.”
Only you can surrender your concerns to the Father. No one else can take those away and give them to God. Only you can cast all your anxieties on the one who cares for you. What better way to start the day than by laying your cares at this feet?

It not only illustrates how the world is moving away from the dollar as the major currency, but what state the world finds itself in and how the US role has been written off. To quote the final guess, the US is “done”.
It is huge for the US to be the reserve currency, it helps drive demand for countries and people to keep our currency. If that would ever stop, then you would see our dollars value tank as people/countries drop our dollar. The dollar value tanking means inflation and hyper-inflation.

“This is an historic day for the relationship between journalism and diplomacy,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Monday following the uncovering of hundreds of thousands of documents by the WikiLeaks website. In a meeting in Tel Aviv, Netanyahu told journalists “your job will become much harder to do, as will ours.”
The documents revealed, among other things, that many Arab leaders called on the United States to attack Iran. “If the exposure causes the region’s leaders to refrain from saying what they think in private talks, then we have a problem,” Netanyahu said.
“But if the leaders make the statements publically there will be a significant change. When leaders are willing to tell their people the truth it promotes peace.” The prime minister added that “peace based on truth has a lasting chance.”

North Korea has once again launched an unprovoked attack against South Korea. Last week, the North fired a barrage of artillery shells at the island of Yeonpyeong, killing four people and injuring dozens more.
In March, North Korea attacked a South Korean patrol boat and killed forty-six sailors. The North denied it was involved in the sinking, but investigators found overwhelming evidence pointing to a strike from a North Korean torpedo.
It is easy to see a clear pattern of escalation on the part of North Korea. For several years, Kim Jong Il alarmed his neighbors by either conducting a series of missile tests or by working on a nuclear program. The inability of the world powers to confront North Korea’s reckless behavior has caused us to reach a point that Kim Jong Il is willing to kill people to draw attention to himself or his future successor, his son, Kim Jong Un.

When I first heard about the TSA fiasco, an internal alarm went off. I just couldn’t completely put my head around it but it just didn’t seem transparent.
Is this a trial run to see how open we are as a society to totalitarian methods of control?
Is this really for our protection?
Is this the overton window in action?
Look into it and judge for yourself but ask the questions. This is definitely the type of control the Antichrist will exercise over the world once he assumes power. This type of control and invasion into our private lives will be necessary for him to control the populace and buying/selling.

Commentators, secular and religious, weigh in incessantly on all aspects of the issues of greatest concern for these angst-ridden times. Those issues of most profound worry are collapsing economy, loss of personal liberty, and what is going to happen in the immediate and long-term future.
One can almost physically feel the fear in the emails I receive daily. Worries over what the future holds fill the articles and, more to the point for this commentary, dominate the personal missives that search for answers that might provide some degree of comfort.

WikiLeaked cable from Bob Gates: ‘Russian democracy has disappeared’
When Defense Secretary Robert Gates sat down with French Minister of Defense Herve Morin Feb. 8 in Paris, he had a harsh assessment of the Russian government and some severe differences with his French counterpart on several issues of international security.
“SecDef (Gates) observed that Russian democracy has disappeared and the government was an oligarchy run by the security services,” read a cable about the meeting classified by Assistant Secretary of Defense Alexander Vershbow and leaked to the self described whistleblower website WikiLeaks. The website posted Sunday just over 200 of the over 250,000 sensitive State Department documents it claims to have in its possession.
“President [Dmitry] Medvedev has a more pragmatic vision for Russia than [Prime Minister Vladimir] Putin, but there has been little real change,” Gates told Morin, according to the cable.

Israel is at the Heart of Prophecy

I was talking with a friend recently, and we were discussing questions we get while speaking.
One of the most popular is, “How do we know we are in the last days?” A perhaps more popular version of this question is, “How do we know Jesus is coming back soon?”
Ninety-nine percent of the time, I hear this question answered with a New Testament verse or verses. That of course is legitimate. However, there is a fascinating reference in the Old Testament, and it has become my favorite answer.
In Psalm 102:16, we read:
“When the LORD shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory.”
Preterists and others hostile to Israel and predictive prophecy answer that this must refer to Christ’s first coming. Yet…was the Lord building Zion on that electric night in Bethlehem? An emphatic “no.”
The Romans were pressing the inhabitants of the Holy Land under a dictatorial heel at that precise moment, and for a few centuries after that. In fact, after several decades of Jewish sovereignty under the leadership and aftermath of the Maccabees, who had taken control of Judea from the Seleucid Empire, that sovereignty came to an end.
In the first century, B.C., this Jewish rebel army gave way to the powerful Romans.
So at that stage of history, the Lord was not building Zion.
He has, however, been building Zion since the late 19th century, and now millions of Jews live in their ancestral land.

More than 100,000 Irish citizens took to the streets of Dublin today to protest against the international bailout and four years of austerity.
Despite overnight snow storms and freezing temperatures, huge crowds have gathered in O’Connell Street to demonstrate against the cuts aimed at driving down Ireland‘s colossal national debt.

Driest November Since ’62 Unites Secular & Religious in Prayer
The sore lack of rain this winter has united the religious and secular populaces in public prayers for water.
Public prayer services for rain have been called throughout the country in recent weeks, with increasingly growing participation. For instance, in the traditionally anti-religious kibbutz Givat Brenner near Rehovot, dozens of secular farmers took part in prayers and shofar-sounding for rain last week.
The Givat Brenner event was organized by Ayelet HaShachar (Morning Star), an organization dedicated to giving a taste of religious Judaism to non-religious kibbutzim and moshavim around the country. The organization also sponsored similar prayers in Kibbutz Ein Harod last Wednesday, followed the next day by prayers on a boat in the middle of the Kinneret (Sea of Galilee).
The Kinneret is currently 214.07 meters below sea level – 107 centimeters lower than the forbidden “red line,” and only 80 centimeters above the even more forbidden “black line.” It has lost 20 centimeters in height over the past month, which has been the driest in Israel in the past 48 years. This marks the seventh consecutive year of near-drought conditions.

Giant space bubbles baffle astronomers
Two giant gas bubbles – each one 25,000 light-years wide – discovered in our galaxy are baffling astronomers.
The two vast structures, stretching to the north and to the south of the centre of the Milky Way, are so big that a beam of light, traveling at 186,282 miles per second, would take 50,000 years to get from the edge of one to the edge of the other.
