the bill would prevent anyone sending out a message that there is nothing wrong with being gay – whether in a newspaper editorial, a public speech or parade. This bill’s authors have cited films like Brokeback Mountain as an example.

Pro-‘gay marriage’ ads labeled ‘con job’
The ads feature heterosexuals promoting homosexual marriage. Turkey has suggested that it would invade Syria to end the regime of President Bashar Assad. For the first time, Turkey has warned of what its president termed a “worst-case scenario” in Syria. Turkish President Abdullah Gul said Ankara would continue to attack Syria to protect against shelling and other operations against Turkey.

Syrian rebels capture Hizbullah fighters ‘in full combat gear’
“The 13 Hizbullah fighters, in full combat gear, were manning security and military checkpoints in the Homs countryside,” FSA spokesman Fahd Al Masri said. “They were not on a religious, tourist or family visit to the region.” Over the last two months, FSA has captured scores of Hizbullah operatives in Syria. FSA said many of the detainees had been assigned to quell Sunni rebel operations around Aleppo, Damascus and Homs.

Earthquakes in North Texas in late September were just flukes
The three earthquakes that shook North Texas late last month left many mildly rattled residents scratching their heads. North Texas is not on any major fault lines, and area residents are likely more familiar with tornadoes than other violent natural disruptions, but the two earthquakes that struck West Dallas and Irving on September 29 registered a 3.4 and 3.1 on the Richter scale, respectively. A third quake in Irving the next day registered at 2.1

At the International Seismology Conference taking place in Baku American scientist and seismologist Robert King has informed that in Baku and Absheron peninsula it is expected an increase in seismic activity as a result of compression fracture between the Minor and the Greater Caucasus.

Mali Islamists ‘buying child soldiers, imposing Sharia’
Islamists who seized control of part of Mali are amassing money from ransoms and drug trafficking while imposing Sharia law, says a senior UN official. They are also buying child soldiers, paying families $600 (£375) per child, Ivan Simonovic said after a fact-finding visit to the country. Islamic extremists seized two-thirds of Mali in March when a military coup plunged the country into chaos.

The new Jordanian ambassador to Israel, Walid Obeidat, was sworn in Monday before King Abdullah after rejecting threats from his powerful clan not to accept the job. The ceremony was attended by Jordanian Foreign Minister Naser Judeh. Obeidat chose to ignore his family’s threats that they would “disown” him if he agreed to serve as ambassador to Israel.

MP: Turkish army can reach Damascus for three hours
In the event of a war with Syria, the Turkish army will need only three hours to reach the country’s capital Damascus, Turkish TV channel Beyaz TV quotes MP from the ruling Justice and Development Party Samil Tayar as saying on Wednesday. MP emphasized that Ankara is fully ready for military actions.

Russia warns against use of force against Iran
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov warned on Wednesday, Oct 10, that the use of force against Tehran would spell the end of the negotiating process on Iran’s nuclear program, RIA Novosti reported. “Time and again we hear threats that if there is no progress on Iran’s nuclear program only one option will remain – the use of force. We hope that will never happen,” he said.

Texas schools punish students who refuse to be tracked with microchips
A school district in Texas came under fire earlier this year when it announced that it would require students to wear microchip-embedded ID cards at all times. Now, students who refuse to be monitored say they are feeling the repercussions. …Hernandez said in an interview with Salon that subjecting herself to constant monitoring through an RFID chip is like being branded with the “mark of the beast” – a reference to the Bible’s apocalyptic Book of Revelations.

Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki set off for Moscow yesterday to sign a $5 billion contract for the sale of weapons including fighter jets, helicopters, anti-aircraft missile systems and armored vehicles to Baghdad, according to a Russian newspaper. If the deal takes place, Iraq will be among five largest importers of Russian arms, according to Pravda.

Egypt’s President Mursi pardons ‘revolutionaries’
Egypt’s President, Mohammed Mursi, has pardoned all those arrested since the beginning of last year’s popular uprising that ousted Hosni Mubarak. A post on the president’s official Facebook page announced an amnesty for crimes and misdemeanours committed “in support of the revolution”. Call to Separate Jews, Arabs on Temple Mount
The call came less than an hour after a rabbi and two Jews were arrested on suspicion of “praying” on the site, just hours before the start of the Jewish holiday of Simchat Torah. Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood Chief: Time to wage Holy Jihad against Israel and for Islamic nation to unite around one man

Wait! Why would a secular and peaceful organization that our own president said should participate in the governance of Egypt start spewing the language of terrorists? Have we been misled by our administration?

Read this:

TIMES OF ISRAEL – Egypt’s foremost Muslim Brotherhood official called on the Arab world Thursday to replace negotiations with Israel with “holy Jihad,” claiming that if Jews are allowed to pray on the Temple Mount they will destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque and supplant it with the third temple.

Mohammed Badie, Supreme Guide of the Muslim Brotherhood, declared in a public message published by Egyptian daily Al-Ahram that “the Zionists only understand force,” and that Arabs cannot hope to achieve justice from the Jews “through the corridors of the United Nations or through negotiations.” …

“The time has come for the Islamic nation to unite around one man for the sake of Jerusalem and Palestine,” Badie said. “The Jews have dominated the land, spread corruption on earth, spilled the blood of believers and in their actions profaned holy places, including their own.”

“Zionists only understand the language of force and will not relent without duress,” Badie continued. “This will only happen through holy Jihad, high sacrifices and all forms of resistance. The day they realize we will march this path and raise the banner of Jihad for the sake of God, is the day they will relent and stop their tyranny.”

I’d love to see the original translated from Arabic to English to understand the context of what he’s saying with regard to “the Islamic nation to unite around one man”. I know what that sounds like, but at present there is no caliphate unless that is understood in his original statement.

JD did an amazing job this week breaking down some of the amazing UN speeches we heard.

It was amazing to hear how much prophecy was echoed in what they are saying.  Our Presidents speech was especially chilling given what we know of prophecy.

I agree whole heartily with JD warning for what is in-store if the Lord tarries.  If they manage to pass the UN resolution – Defamation of Religion, Christians are going to be directly impacted due to our core beliefs (John 14:6).

Hospital sources said five people have manifested symptoms of a SARS-like virus. They have been taken and admitted to the Odense University Hospital in central Denmark. The five suspected patients are now undergoing medical examinations for signs of infection from a new strain of corona virus.

Viral Disease Chikungunya Affects 100 Residents in Southern Philippines
A new viral disease “chikungunya” has affected over a hundred residents of two villages in Surigao del Sur, Philippines. Victims showed symptoms such fever, rashes, joint pain. The World Health Organization (WHO) described Chikungunya as a viral disease. It can be transmitted to humans by infected mosquitoes. The name “Chikungunya” refers to the “stooped” appearance of those suffering with joint pain, WHO added that its symptoms–in the form of high fever, joint pain, joint swelling, rash, headache, muscle pain, nausea, and fatigue–appear between 4 to 7 days after the patient has been bitten by the infected mosquito.

6.2-magnitude earthquake rattles Mexico’s southern Baja California coast
A 6.2-magnitude earthquake rattled the southern part of Mexico’s Baja California peninsula Tuesday and was felt strongly in the city of La Paz.

Egypt paper launches campaign against Prophet Muhammad cartoons
An Egyptian newspaper has launched a campaign against the obscene cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad published by the French magazine, Charlie Hebdo. Al-Watan, a secular daily, published 13 cartoons on Monday under the slogan “Fight cartoons with cartoons”. One shows a pair of glasses through which the burning World Trade Center is seen, with the caption: “Western glasses for the Islamic world”.

New type of Swine Flu detected in Ontario not related to US outbreaks
The infection was caused by an H1N1-variant virus, which is not the swine flu virus that has been jumping from pigs to people in the United States this summer.

U.S. reports first death from new swine flu; 288 cases of H3N2 in the last year
The CDC says the person had multiple health problems, which can raise an individual’s risk of suffering from severe influenza if he or she is infected. The CDC is also reporting an additional 12 human cases of H3N2-variant flu, bringing the total since last July to 288.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 struck in the northern Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan on Tuesday, but there were no immediate reports of damage or casualties. The quake hit at a depth of 33 kilometres some 48 kilometres (30 miles) southeast of Kunduz, capital of Kunduz province, in the early afternoon, according to a preliminary report by the US Geological Survey.

Government restrictions on the Internet have risen over the past year around the world as regimes use violence against bloggers and turn to censorship and arrest to squelch calls for reform, a new report from a U.S. advocacy group has found. In Romans 10 Paul lays out how salvation is open to all, Jew and Gentile.  He writes:

“For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.” – Romans 10:4-5

What he is saying is now it is not about works or how closely to a “T” you follow the law.  But that it is through God’s gift of grace through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ.  It is really that simple, and yet a hard step for some of us.

“That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” – Romans 10:9

Christ is the narrow gate (Matthew 7:13-14), through faith in Him you will be saved.  It is the only “works” that God requires for eternal salvation.

Did you know in the Jewish Talmud (Sanhedrin 97b) that there is a list of ten signs called the “Birthpangs of the Messiah”?

Modern rabbis admit they don’t know why the signs are called this but as Christians, especially Christians that are “watchmen” and study prophecy, these should be very familiar.  See what you think.

Birthpangs of the Messiah – (Talmud, Sanhedrin 97b)

  1. The Jews will return to their biblical homeland and the desert will bloom.
  2. The world will be in a state of complete degradation.
  3. Truth will decrease and lies will prevail.
  4. Inflation will be out of control.
  5. There will be fewer and fewer wise and righteous people.
  6. Many Jews will give up the hope of redemption.
  7. The young will treat the old with disrespect.
  8. Learning will be rejected because people will desire a life of ease.
  9. The whole world will turn against Israel.
  10. The Jews will fight each other (the secular against the religious).

The Talmud also adds that God will defeat Israels enemies in the war of Gog and Magog and confirm the nation of Israel is God’s chosen people (Ezekiel 38 and 39).

Is that amazing or what?!

It is like a checklist of what we are seeing today.

Not one of those items listed is not being done today and/or at some point of fulfillment.

We as Christians recognize these as the birthpangs that Jesus and his disciples wrote about to describe the time leading up to the tribulation, book-ended by the formation of Israel in 1948 and the climax at the confirming of the seven year peace agreement to officially begin the tribulation period and Daniel’s 79th week.

The good news for us is that Christ will return before that time to remove His church (bride) from this world to protect us from the coming wrath.

The Coming Leader

He will become very strong, but not by his own power. He will cause astounding devastation and will succeed in whatever he does. He will destroy the mighty men and the holy people.  He will cause deceit to prosper, and he will consider himself superior. When they feel secure, he will destroy many and take his stand against the Prince of princes. Yet he will be destroyed, but not by human power (Daniel 8:24-25).

When he first comes on the scene he’ll quickly garner the world’s attention.  More that just being likeable, he’ll be seen as a man with a brilliant future ahead of him, a charismatic personality who will immediately attract and hold everyone’s interest. And when he takes center stage after the Battle of Ezekiel 38, many will believe he has the solution to all their problems.  In a world reeling under the twin disasters of the mysterious disappearance of millions of Christians and the outbreak of nuclear war in the Middle East, he’ll be a voice of calmness and reassurance.  If it seems to them like he has an almost supernatural ability to get control of things and lead the way to peace, it will be because he does.  He’s Satan’s man, masquerading as the savior of the world.

In an early success, he’ll broker a treaty in the Middle East that will astound everyone (Daniel 9:27), causing the recently defeated Muslim nations to agree to the building of a Temple in Israel.  Using Ezekiel 48 as his authority, he’ll show everyone involved that the new Temple doesn’t belong on the current Temple mount, but slightly more than 20 miles to the north in Shiloh.  Sharing a space with the Dome of the Rock and the al Aksa mosque will not be required. After thousands of years of strife, it will appear that peace has finally come to that war torn part of the world.

I looked, and there before me was a white horse! Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest (Rev. 6:2).

Not everyone will immediately be convinced to line up behind him, and for those who aren’t, conquest will be the answer.  He’ll justify the need for war by convincing them that a lasting peace depends on everyone submitting to the authority of a single government.  Those who don’t come willingly will have to be persuaded.

Bible Translations: Clear and Concise Deceit

The article below by Lea Sylvester points out some of the real issues with newer Bible translations.  Especially those that are more paraphrased than translated.  The Message Bible is in the cross-hairs of Lea’s article and I can not disagree with his points.  There are a lot of misleading changes.

I am not in the King James only camp and tend to read multiple translations when I study scripture.  Translations I use are the King James Version, the New King James Version, English Standard Version Bible, New American Standard Bible, and New International Version Bible(1984).  Most of my reading has been done lately with the ESV and NASB as I find them to be the most literal translation but I do enjoy the NKJV (also in the literal camp) for reading and have not really settled on a single favorite format yet.

If you have questions about the different translations and what the differences are check out the book:

How to Choose a Translation for All its Worth: A guide to understanding and using bible versions by Gordon D Fee (ISBN-13 978-0310278764).

It is not really prescriptive of telling you which one to use but more telling you what the strengths of each are and where their weaknesses are.

The Message is definitely not on my list for a lot of the same reasons Lea Sylvester states below.  The Bible should be the Literal Truth, the word of God.  If you want commentary or paraphrasing, that is what study bibles (with notes) or various commentaries are for.

Keeping them separate is important so you can clearly understand what God says (God’s words) and what man says about God’s word.

Also it is important to understand the culture and context in which the books of the Bible were written.  A lot of the idioms and sayings get lost or glossed over if we convert everything to our current days language.

Having studied God’s Word for 30 years now, I have learned that the only “tool” one really needs in order to understand the Bible is the guidance of the Holy Spirit, discernment (from the Holy Spirit) and studying passages in context. A concordance is a handy research tool, too. Each study brings new things to light.  We should seek God with all of our heart and one way to know Him better is by studying His Word.  The Bible “interprets itself” and if one seeks to understand it, God reveals incredible messages contained within His Word. Even so, many professing Christians say that they can’t understand The Bible.

Because of this and other “reasons” various translations of the Bible have come and gone over the last 30 years. Several “translations” have not only made it “easier” for a person to understand passages, but have changed the entire meaning of passages. Therefore, they do not understand the “meaning of passages” better; they aren’t even getting the meaning of them at all because they have been removed or changed.

The creation of false Bible translations is the most obvious way in which the Word of God has come under attack recently. For instance, “The Message Bible” (published by NavPress of Colorado Springs, CO; publishing arm of The Navigators) is sold as a translation, it is a paraphrase that is meant to be reader-friendly, but it distorts the meaning of Scripture. Some noted Bible scholars have noted the losses to the Word of God in “The Message Bible” and have referred to them as “paraphrased lies.”

Something Big Is Going On – Part 1 and 2

Excellent series, it is amazing all that is coming together, converging, all at once.

I am not sure I agree with Pete on all of the topics yet, but it is interesting to look at all the theories at once.  See the big picture that we don’t get in this sound bite world.

I have learned through discernment, that just because something sounds crazy or impossible at first glance, does not make it any less the truth.  A lot of prophecy looked crazy or impossible 10-15 years ago but now makes perfect sense.  For God all things are possible.

And there is probably a “logical” explanation for much of the conspiracy topics listed below.  But as we have seen from studying scripture, what appears logical alone, when put into context, can appear very illogical.  All I know is that with the amount of deception that is in this world today, you can only count on God’s truth.  We were warned over and over to not be deceived.  Keep an open mind and be watchful.  We must stay focused on Jesus Christ and God’s will for our lives until He comes for us as promised.

We probably won’t know a lot of the truth until we get to the other side.  But here in this world now, the key is discernment and prayer.  Take everything back to God’s word (the Bible) and God Himself through prayer.  The Holy Spirit will not lead you astray…

“And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” – John 8:32

Something Big Is Going On

It appears something very big is about to happen on the world scene. Things are coming together at warp speed, and for those who are paying attention it is becoming quite clear it isn’t for our good. If you want to know what’s really going on, check the alternate news sites like Drudge Report, Prison Planet, Natural News, World Net Daily and Infowars. Another good site is Raiders News Update─a compilation of news stories related to Bible prophecy. You’ll get the real scoop on what’s happening on the world scene at these and similar sites, which you’ll never find on the mainline media like CNN, ABC, CBS, etc.

Financial

At the moment I am writing this, the U.S. national debt stands at nearly 16 (T) trillion dollars, and growing exponentially. That’s over $50,000 apiece for every man, woman and child in the U.S.A. If the nations holding this debt─mainly China─were to call it in: It would almost certainly cause the worst monetary collapse in history.

Billionaire George Soros has sold off some $50 million in corporate stocks and has purchased over $100 million in gold.

Billionaire John Paulson “is buying gold like crazy,” and now has 46% of his $24 billion fund in gold.

Central banks are also grabbing up gold like crazy, having bought 157.5 metric tons of gold just in the last quarter, a 138% increase over the same quarter last year. Apparently these people know something big and bad is about to happen, and are preparing for it the best they know how.

Prison Planet’s Alex Jones reports that globalists have planned a staged bank collapse for late October in an attempt to bring in their dream of a new world order, one worldwide government. I can neither confirm nor deny this, but if and when it happens it will probably cause the worst panic in history. Major rioting and a collapse of society as we know it are definite possibilities.

Domestic Terrorism/Staged Attacks

The FBI has issued a list of characteristics to be used to identify potential terrorists. This list includes among other things people who are conservatives or patriots, people who have weapons, people who stockpile food, and even people who pay cash for coffee.

From Peace And Safety To Desolation And Destruction

The Holy Spirit is amazing, I just read this morning 1 Thessalonians 4-5 and one of the key verses that the Lord put on my heard was 1 Thes. 5:3.  The term “Peace and safety” has been echoing in my head all day. 

It is amazing how much that term is used these days, in that exact form. 

This after noon I found a new article posted on RaptureReady.com by Jack Kelly on this very topic.  It is a very good article and includes some of the Marian topic I have been reading about recently. 

If you haven’t explored it, you should it is amazing how wide-spread it is and how much it spreads across faiths.  If you are interested check out the book “Queen of All”.

Jack lays out a very plausible fulfillment of various Prophecies.

The other bit of scripture that has been placed on my heart was from 1 Thes. 5:20.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-22

English Standard Version (ESV)

16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 19 Do not quench the Spirit. 20 Do not despise prophecies, 21 but test everything; hold fast what is good. 22 Abstain from every form of evil.

“Do not despise prophecies” and “Do not quench the Spirit”,  I still haven’t worked these out for how they apply but I will update this post when I do…

From Peace And Safety To Desolation And Destruction

 While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape (1 Thes. 5:3).

Like many works of man its beginning will be filled with hope and promise.  Following the chaos that will accompany the rapture of the Church and the Middle East war we call the Battle of Ezekiel 38 a man will emerge, a leader like none the world has ever seen. He’ll claim to have a way to restore peace to a world that will have been shocked by the recent disappearance of millions and by the nuclear exchange that began in the Middle East and quickly spread from Europe in the west to Russia in the east.

People will be desperate for answers and multiple appearances around the world by the beautiful and tender Marian apparition will convince them that this leader has them.  Among other things, she will tell them he’s her son, come to restore peace to the world.  Through her supernatural influence Catholics, Muslims, New Agers, the Eastern religions and even non-believers will unite behind him and for a time it will seem like an enduring peace is finally coming to Planet Earth.

If you’re not certain you’re saved, here is what you should do, right now:
  1. Acknowledge that you have sinned against a holy God and ask for forgiveness (even if you don’t feel you deserve it) (Rom. 3:23).  Genuinely feel the pain of your sin and be willing to turn from it (repent) (Acts 3:19).

  3. Confess that you are trusting Jesus as your personal Savior.  Since Jesus is alive, you can talk to him.  This is called prayer.  So talk to him right now, in your own words, accept his invitation to know him.
It’s simple faith through grace, the kind of faith a little child would have.
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this not of yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Eph. 2:8-9)
Welcome brother or sister in Christ!  This is just the start of the journey, we are called to live in this world but not be of this world.  Begin studying God’s word (the Bible) daily to give you the strength and wisdom to live this calling out.  There are many sites like this that can help you as well.

Blatant Deception…

Obama Administration Paves the Way for Sharia Law

The most terrifying danger Americans face from a second Barack Obama term isn’t the economy, which is scary enough.

The most harrowing prospect is the Obama Administration’s passivity in the face of attempts to introduce aspects of sharia law into our legal system.  Now there is strong and open evidence of the Obama administration collaborating with Islamist activists to ensure the path toward sharia law is accelerated.

Just last week, Thomas Perez, Assistant Attorney General of the Department of Justice (DOJ) Civil Rights Division, was asked this question by Trent Franks (R-AZ), a member of the House Judiciary Committee Subcommittee on the Constitution: “Will you tell us here today that this Administration’s Department of Justice will never entertain or advance a proposal that criminalizes speech against any religion?”

Perez refused to answer. Four times.

And why would Franks target Perez?

Here’s why:

Last October, at George Washington University, there was a meeting between DOJ officials, including Perez, and Islamist advocates against free speech. Representatives from the Islamist side included Mohamed Magid, president of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA). The ISNA was an unindicted co-conspirator in a Hamas terror funding trial in 2008, as well as functioning as a Muslim Brotherhood Front. The leader of the Islamist attack was Sahar Aziz, an Egyptian-born American lawyer and Fellow at the Institute for Social Policy and Understanding, a Muslim advocacy group based in Michigan. At the meeting, the Islamists lobbied for:

  1. Cutbacks in U.S. anti-terror training
  2. Limits on the power of terrorism investigators
  3. Changes in agent training manuals
  4. A legal declaration that criticism of Islam in the United States should be considered racial discrimination

Aziz said that the word “Muslim” has become “racialized” and, once American criticism of Islam was silenced, the effect would be to “take [federal] money away from local police departments and fusion centers who are spying on all of us.”

And what was the response from Perez and the DOJ officials? 

Nothing.

That’s right: no objection, no defense of our first amendment right to free speech.

Stage Setting for one world government?

Sometimes slow change is worst than fast change.  At a minimum it is much more deceptive, we have all experienced it in our daily lives.  It is often found in “stage-setting” for Bible prophecy fulfillment.  Everything falling into place for the eventual fulfillment, but not quite yet.

Daymond Duck does a great job below laying out how this creeping change, stage setting, is occurring right now and more frequently over the last year.

The change is so deceptive that there is almost always something that you did not know was occurring.  The two that caught me this time were:

I didn’t know our sitting president “Barak Obama” said the following back in 2008.

he said, “Democracy demands that the religiously motivated translate their concerns into universal, rather than religion-specific values.” He was saying Democracy demands that Americans have universal or Global values instead of Christian, Muslim, Hindu or other religion-specific values. He added, “This (Global or non-Christian value or religious system) is going to be difficult for some who believe in the inerrancy of the Bible as many evangelicals do.” 

The second item was a move by the UN in June of this year (2012):

In February 2011, the United Nations started pushing interfaith worship. In June 2012, environmentalists in the United Nations called for the Ten Commandments to be rejected (change) and the UN Earth Charter to be accepted as the world’s governing moral code. Supporters hailed this as a new form of religion that is devoid of the notion of a Supreme Being. 

Wow, how far we have come and how close we must be to the Lord’s return!

For years, the EU worked on a constitution. They finally came up with one that omits all references to God and Christianity. Since the EU has been established by the United Nations as the model or pattern (the EU Model) for all other groups of nations to follow, every group of nations, including the group the United States winds up in (NAU), will eventually be expected to have a constitution that omits all references to God and Christianity. If the EU changes its constitution to appoint a new super-president of the EU, as they are now discussing, all of the other groups of nations will be expected to have a super-president. Thus, if there are ten groups of nations, each with a super-president, there will be ten super-presidents in the world (called ten kings or ten horns in the Bible) and the stage will be set for the eleventh one (the Antichrist). He will oppose those who believe in God and say that he is God.

In the United States, people have removed the Ten Commandments from America’s Courthouses and national parks. Some want to take “In God we trust” off of America’s money, “One nation under God” out of America’s pledge, etc. 

In 2008, when Senator Obama was running for President of the United States, he said, “Democracy demands that the religiously motivated translate their concerns into universal, rather than religion-specific values.” He was saying Democracy demands that Americans have universal or Global values instead of Christian, Muslim, Hindu or other religion-specific values. In essence, the man who was running for President of the United States, and who is now running for re-election, said Christians need to change their values and religious system (what Christians believe about abortion, homosexuality, how to be saved, etc.) to get in line with Global values or a Global religious system. He even acknowledged that this change is going to be difficult for those who believe in the inerrancy of the Scriptures to do this. He seemed to be implying that it is wrong for Christians to believe in the inerrancy of the Scriptures, but those who do need to change to a more universal or Global religion.

Nigeria Kogi state curfew after church attack
A dusk-to-dawn curfew has been declared in parts of Kogi state in central Nigeria, after gunmen killed at least 19 worshippers at a church. Gunmen stormed the church near Okene city in Kogi state and fired on worshippers late on Monday. Kogi Governor Idris Wada said the “devilish” killers would be arrested.

Iran and the ‘End of Days’

There’s infinitely more at stake in the Middle East than oil and geopolitics.

Tension is rising in the Middle East again. The civil war in Syria is worsening, Western sanctions on Iran are intensifying, large-scale military exercises by both Tehran and the West are on the cards. This is all worrying and cause for alarm.

Yet, it is an unprecedented, largely ignored national address by Iran’s supreme leader that is most alarming. On Friday, July 6, a number of Iranian state-run media outlets ran stories highlighting remarks by Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In his address, Khamenei warned his people all over the world that Iran must prepare for war, and that we are now living in “the end of times.”

More specifically, Khamenei warned of the imminent return of the Mahdi, or the 12th imam. “The issue of Imam Mahdi is of utmost importance, and his reappearance has been clearly stated in our holy religion of Islam,” he said. “We must study and remind ourselves of the end of times and Imam Mahdi’s era. … We must prepare the environment for the coming so that the great leader will come.”

The belief of a returning Mahdi, or 12th imam, is a defining doctrine within the most populous group of Shiites known as Ithna Ashari, or “Twelvers.” In addition to Iran’s supreme leader, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad also belongs to this influential group. According to Twelver theology, the Mahdi’s return will be precipitated by planet-engulfing wars, the likes of which will destroy one third of the world’s population, and another third as a result of widespread hunger, disease and social unrest. Finally, the destruction will be capped with the annihilation of the Jewish state and the killing of all infidels, after which the seed of Islam will be planted in the four corners of the Earth.

Here in the West, most people mistakenly ignore this theology and the depth of commitment Khamenei, Ahmadinejad and their followers have to it. This is to our own peril. Twelvers don’t just believe the Mahdi will soon return: They consider it a personal responsibility to create the apocalyptic conditions that will surround his return.

Frankly, ushering in the Mahdi is the guiding principle of Iran’s foreign policy!

Amazing article by Jack Kelly, he really lays out what we have seen happen over the last 100 years as God sets the stage for the last days.  From Israel’s return, to the fall of the USSR making way for the revived Roman enpire, to the fall of the USA we are seeing today.  He makes clearly focuses on not just what we have seen but what we should have our eye on.  God’s promises to us, His church, and His will for us until His Son returns to claim His bride in the air.  It is really something to ponder…

Standing In The Way

There are lots of news reports, articles, and even books devoted to the deteriorating state of America and speculating on the likely outcome. Reading them has brought several things to my mind.

As an example, I remembered something Hal Lindsey said 20 years ago about the then current world situation. He said he had been wondering how God was going to fulfill end times prophecy while the Soviet Union was standing in the way of the revived Roman Empire taking its prophesied place in the end times.

The term “revived Roman Empire” comes from Daniel’s interpretation of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream as a prophecy of “Gentile Dominion”, the time during which Gentile Empires would rule the world. (Daniel 2:31-43).

In the dream Nebuchadnezzar saw a large poly-metallic statue, and Daniel interpreted it to represent four Kingdoms. Many scholars believe the head of gold stood for Babylon, the chest and arms of silver symbolized Media Persia, who conquered Babylon. The belly and thighs of bronze pointed to Greece who defeated the Persians. The legs of iron represented Rome who replaced the Greeks.

Finally came the feet and toes, part of the legs and made partly of iron like the legs, but different in that they were also composed partly of baked clay. Daniel called them a divided kingdom, partly strong and partly weak (Daniel 2:41-42).

The Roman Empire was never completely conquered. Instead it split into eastern and western legs, versions of which have always been visible on the world scene. Since the feet and toes are the last phase of Gentile Dominion before the God of Heaven will set up a Kingdom of His own (Daniel 2:44) and since the statue only represents four kingdoms, scholars call them the revived Roman Empire.

How Will This Happen?

OK. Let’s go back to Hal’s question. Remember, before its fall in the early 1990s all of Eastern Europe including half of Germany was under Soviet control. This was a significant portion of the old Roman Empire. He wondered how the USSR would be defeated so the end times version of the Roman Empire could emerge.

Then we all received the answer loud and clear when for all intents and purposes the Soviet Union suddenly ceased to exist. It wasn’t defeated by an external enemy, but crumbled from within under a crippling burden of debt. The debt was the result of a combination of problems, including a disastrous war in Afghanistan, an unsustainable arms race with the US, and the inability to support the resulting increase in government spending in a declining Soviet economy.

Remembering Hal’s comment made me think how similar the world situation is today, only now it’s the US standing in the way of end times prophecy. Israel can’t experience the utter abandonment that will leave God as its only hope against powerful, hate filled enemies until the US has been neutralized. Like the Soviet Union, we could crumble from within for the same reasons they did. A catastrophic natural disaster, a coordinated series of terrorist attacks, or the rapture of the Church would also get the US out of God’s way. But something will have to happen to clear the way for the next phase of the end times, because just as the USSR was not part of Nebuchadnezzar’s statue, neither is the USA.

One Isn’t Far From Zero

This is a very good article in laying out a Theory of how certain prophecy puzzle pieces may fit together. 

I have always found it believable that the Rapture could play a role in accelerating certain prophecy events and I am amazed that most consider the events independently without looking at the “what if’s”. 

What if, this happens, then what would be the fall out. 

It is an interesting read on where we find ourselves today and what could lie ahead.

One Isn’t Far From Zero

We discussed the conditioning process that must be necessary in order for the antichrist to accomplish all that the Bible sets out for him in a brief seven years. It is one thing to control the global economic, governance and religious systems, it is another thing altogether to centralize it first.

It takes no time at all to assume power over something, provided that something is fully developed to that purpose. The antichrist doesn’t have the time to develop the systems or prepare the public to accept them.

The Scriptures say that he takes control of the levers of power, he doesn’t create them. While the Scriptures say that he has a “look more stout than his fellows” and a “mouth speaking great things” — he must first have a willing and receptive audience, or he is just another fierce-looking politician.

When the One was elevated to office in 2008, he certainly looked and sounded pretty fierce. And he had a willing and receptive audience. But what he didn’t have at his disposal in 2009 was the necessary global infrastructure.

Nonetheless, the practices and policies of the Obama administration are so similar to those outlined by the Scriptures for the last days that he’s made a lot of people to wonder aloud, “Could the One be THE One?”

Not likely. Some of the stuff ascribed to the antichrist for the last days will require real leadership, not just empty words and lofty rhetoric (although he will be good at that, too.)

So on that score, Obama isn’t likely to be THE One. But it could be argued that he has done more to move the world in the direction necessary than any leader of any nation since World War Two.

One of the main obstacles holding back the revelation of the man of sin is public acceptance. While the conditioning process is complete across much of the world, America has, to this point, remained a stubborn hold-out.

The Russians, Chinese, Europeans, NATO and the UN are more than merely prepared to turn over the reins of power to a strongman, they are actually seeking one.

The EU has been attempting to create a super-dictator to impose the EU’s will on an unwilling population since the Treaty of Rome set European reunification as its ultimate goal back in 1957.

Stage Setting for the Mark…

It is really astounding how far technology has advanced.  It is certainly prophetic but also plays into, I believe, the enablement for the Mark of the Beast and Rule of the Antichrist. 

So much stage setting is going on these last few years, and at lightning speed over the last 12 months. 

The size of this complex is mind-blowing when you think how much data can be captured on a micro SD card smaller than a penny…

Big Brother’s Data Center

The U.S. government is in the process of building the world’s largest data complex. Located on a 240-acre site near Camp Williams, the 1-million-square-foot facility will become operational in September of next year.

The blandly named Utah Data Center is being built for the US National Security Agency (NSA). A project of immense secrecy, its purpose: to intercept, decipher, analyze, and store vast amounts of the world’s communications from satellites and underground and undersea cables of international, foreign, and domestic networks. The heavily fortified $2 billion center will house near-bottomless databases for all forms of communication, including private emails, mobile phone calls and Google searches, as well as personal data trails–travel itineraries, purchases, and other digital “pocket litter.” It is the realization of the “total information awareness” program created by the Bush administration–which was killed by Congress in 2003 after an outcry over its potential for invading privacy. One World Government…Holy Roman Empire’s Rise?

This article just popped up on Drudge and caught my eye this evening.

The headline on Drudge was:

PAPER: Secret plan to create 'super-powerful EU president'...

A “super-powerful EU president” set off alarms in my head about the rise of the final Roman Empire from Revelation.

The quote from the article that really sealed it for me was the third paragraph:

Opponents fear the plan could create a modern-day equivalent of the European emperor envisaged by Napoleon Bonaparte or a return to the Holy Roman Empire of Charlemagne that dominated Europe in the Dark Ages.

And there it is.  Something to keep an eye on, things are really picking up.  I will list some of the other key signs I found over the last few days as well.

Deception, Control, and One World Government…

Have you ever given any thought to what this world would be like under an Antichrist led “One World Government”?

I have.  I am sure you may have as well given the times we live in.

I always end up with the same bottom-line:  “control”.

That is the lynch pin that is needed.  It is why I post so many articles under the One World Government category that relate to us losing our rights and freedom.

The walls are closing in rapidly on this world.  Like the trash compactor in Star Wars, one of my favorite movies.

It is about control, it is not in our best interests, and it is evil from satan himself.

My favorite quote is in the second to last clip when he states (paraphrased): “When have they ever been right?  Why would we listen to them?”

Over-stayed our welcome…

I feel like we are being setup.  Maybe “conditioned” is a better term.  It is a slow creeping persecution that has taken 20-30 years to crescendo.  It is a war on beliefs.  It is a war on speech.  It is intimidation at its core and it is from Satan.

What am I talking about?  I am talking about the slow death we are experiencing through “political correctness”, PC and the manufactured “outrage” that usually follows.

This really struck a chord with me while watching some MSM interviews of strong Christians.  The last straw probably started with the Franklin Graham interview and snapped as I watched the Kirk Cameron and Michelle Bachmann interviews yesterday and today.

This PC concept seems to expand every so often to restrict our rights further with each expansion.  This period expansion seems to be around the concept of “Judgment”.  It appears now that by stating our beliefs and opinions as Christians, we are “judging” others and causing them to be “offended” (the last few years major expansion).

Not only can we not express our beliefs but when asked directly by these same people what our beliefs are we are to bite our tongues or lie.  Otherwise we will offend and judge others.

Bridge to Islam or Tower of Babel?

It is amazing in the following two articles how contorted our “religions” have become today.  Satan has been working overtime as he too senses time is short.

What Rick is doing is fulfilling prophecy in two ways.  It is leading to a falling away of the church from foundational Bible beliefs, the Rock, to build a church on.  It is also beginning / aiding the roots of “One World Religion”.  Helping set the stage for the coming antichrist.

Both the authors do a great job laying out the comparision for the two sides Rick is trying to merge.  It is not possible to bridge the gap and still remain grounded on the Rock.  Deception is so great these days, I can see why Jesus said over and over when speaking of the last days: “Do not be deceived!”

I think finally God is showing me what it means to be watchful or a Watchman.  If you are not studying Bible prophecy, you have a greater risk of being deceived.  You don’t know what to look out for or may be too caught up in this world to even notice the path you are on.

Rick Warren’s bridge to Islam

I’ve had a number of issues with Rick Warren over the years.

But, with his latest effort to find common theological ground with Muslims and suggesting Christians and Muslims worship the same God, the man dubbed “America’s Pastor” by the secular media is getting very close to heresy – if not crossing the line.

Here is the key to illustrating his error: Do Muslims even claim to worship the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, as Christians and Jews do? No, they do not. They believe God did not create a covenant with Isaac and Jacob, but rather with Abraham’s firstborn son Ishmael. They believe the Jewish and Christian Bibles are misrepresentations of truth. They believe the Quran accurately and faithfully represents the true personality and will of God.

This is not a minor theological difference. It is as basic and fundamental as it gets.

And the differences grow from there.

Restraining Sudden Destruction

Terry lays out in this weeks Nearing Midnight article something I have been feeling as well.  It is strange how what he wrote is almost exactly the conversation my wife and I had late last night.

There is just a feeling of something big looming, accompanied by a sense of anxiousness.  The looming thing/event is also preceded by a feeling of a blanket of evil that is enveloping this world.  Everywhere you turn, it feels like evil is wrapping its tentacles throughout every inch of our public lives and in some cases appears to be winning the battle.

Worst yet, those of this world seem to be supporting it and promoting it.  To them what should be wrong is right.  I call it the “1984” effect.  What’s up is down and whats good is evil, 2+2=5.

I don’t know how anyone that has their eyes open, could not see we are living in the end times.  The signs are so vivid and numerous.

The part of Terry’s commentary that really struck a chord with me was the last 4-5 paragraphs.

He talks about the restrainer and how it will be removed in the last days.  Paul addresses it in 2 Thessalonians 2:7-10.

2 Thessalonians 2:7-10 – (NKJV)

7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He[a] who now restrains will do so until He[b] is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

Then he posed the questions that really hit home for me:

” How can God be ‘taken out of the way’ so evil and Antichrist can take over for a time?”

God promised us that once sealed with the Holy Spirit that it could not be removed from us.  So if the Holy Spirit has to be removed, then so do we (the church).

The church must be raptured as Paul wrote in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 and 5:1-11.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 – (NKJV)

16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

1 Thessalonians 5:1-11 – (NKJV) – The Day of the Lord

5 But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. 2 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. 3 For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. 4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. 5 You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. 6 Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. 7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. 8 But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. 9 For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.

11 Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.

Yet another proof point on the Rapture of the church and a message of joy in this time of anxiousness.  Could that anxiousness really be the Holy Spirit prodding us, preparing us, to look up for our redemption draws near?

Restraining Sudden Destruction

There is a sense among many at this moment in history that impending disaster presses against the fabric of life on planet earth from every side. This is not mere paranoia pushing against the collective anxiety-ridden psyche of a world uncertain about its future. The threat is real, and it is in Bible prophecy. A quick scan of issues, events, and anticipated actions testify to the reality of the threat and validates the angst.

Israel is ground zero for much of the fear pressing upon a world full of dread. The Jewish state is considered the trigger point for possible nuclear conflict in the Middle East–conflict that is sure to spread globally once unleashed. Iran is the antagonist that is the cause of the most immediate threat to regional and world peace–although the world diplomatic community seems intent on making Israel responsible for keeping war from erupting. This is the way it is, despite the fact that the Iranian regime’s leaders threaten to wipe Israel off the map.

Iran warns world of coming great event

Prophetic signs are accelerating, there are so many to try and keep up with that I have felt very overwhelmed and a bit schizophrenic recently.  After much prayer, I have decided to not try and keep up with all of them as I have in the past but try to pick the clearest one or two and present it here for you.

The one that stood out this morning to me was the warning that Iran’s spiritual leader gave this week.  It was eerie to hear these words and not see it echoed in our media.  Many will have no idea of what Iran is telling their people and their Muslim allies.  The first quote that jumped out at me was as follows:

Khamenei then claimed the current century as the century of Islam and promised that human history is on the verge of a great event and that soon the world will realize the power of Allah.

We have heard similar things before from Iran’s leaders, but this time around there was a immediacy to all of their statements.  (more…)

Foundation being laid…

While we all were celebrating our Lord’s birth, Lucifer was busing getting this world ready for his time, when the restrainer is removed, and God lets him loose on this planet. 

First there was the bills that were passed concerning holding Americans without due process, which didn’t specifically say it would occur, it left the door open to interpretation by not explicitly excluding it.  There was a little flare up and now all is quite.  Last year it was the crack down of the TSA with Air Travel, at the end of the year that expanded as well to our highways, bus terminals, ports and rail.

Just this week these two articles caught my attention and a couple more puzzle pieces fall into place.  The infrastructure has been put in place in the US.  It is not fully being used today, but it could be. 

If we turn our gaze to Europe, we can see the next steps play out.  It is stunning to watch what is happening.  The main stream media will not show you, you have to dig a little for it.  Depending on how far you dig you can even find, where they plan on taking it as they slowly ratchet the controls down. 

I liked the analogy one of the readers commented on: “boiling a frog slowly”.

Do not fear.  Release the dread that creeps over you and turn it into waking up those you love.

Christ said: “Do not be alarmed.”

The good news is, we only have to see the build up and the framework being laid. 

Christ has promised to keep us from the worst!  Praise the Lord!

The Liberal Media Pulling Strings

I have always maintained that the liberal media is Satan’s most effective tool for guiding and controlling society. It is the flesh and bone of spiritual forces that seek to guide and corrupt our society. In the past few years, the liberal media seems to have become more active in fulfilling the will of its master.

It is almost pointless to try to combat the social and political ills unless you take into consideration the liberal media. It has the power to set the rules. By putting its thumb on the scale, it can determine the winner of most public debates.

The finger of blame is rarely ever pointed at the liberal media for society’s ills. This is because the press is in charge of fixing the blame. Letting the liberal media decide if it’s partly to blame for our country’s moral decline is like putting tobacco companies in charge of finding out what causes lung cancer.

Restarting Daniel’s 70th Week

 A spectacular series of events are coming together in the heavens and in the news that are either an incredible series of coincidences, or else they are the prophetic fulfillment of Revelation chapter 12.  I believe these signs are prophetic fulfillment, and they are telling us that Daniel’s 70th week is about to begin. 

Let me begin by saying that I have no idea when the rapture of the Church is going to take place.  James, the brother of Jesus, told us that God is busy taking a people for Himself from among the Gentiles (Acts15:13-18).  The only thing that is holding up the rapture is the arrival of the full number of Gentiles which God has determined in advance (Romans11:25and Acts15:13-18).  We have no way of knowing what this number is, so we have no way of knowing when the rapture is going to take place.  To make things even more impossible, we do not know how many people are already in heaven or at what rate they are arriving.  

This article is not about when the rapture of the Church will happen.  Instead, it deals with the beginning of Daniel’s 70th week and the 7 year period of tribulation that begins at the same time, complete with 3 sets of 7 judgments upon mankind.  If you should happen to believe in a pre-tribulation rapture, as I do, then you will know that the rapture can (and most probably will) happen sooner that most believers expect. 

Astrology is a sin and is strictly forbidden by God.  However, God does use the position of the sun, moon, and stars to indicate certain holy days, feast dates, seasons, and even how to calculate the length of months and years.  God used a sign in the heaven to guide the wise men to the infant Jesus.  I have always believed that the moon, the stars, the planets, and all of the other lights in the heavens, such as galaxies, nebulas, asteroids, and even comets, are God’s jewelry which He has put on display for our enjoyment and for us to wonder at as we ponder His immense greatness.  God wants us to admire his magnificence in the heavens, but he does not want us to worship anything that is there, other than Himself. 

At the moment the comet Elenin is passing through our solar system.  In ancient times, comets were seen as being messengers that brought warnings of natural disasters and times of tribulation on the earth.  Could Elenin be a sign of the beginning of the 7 year period of tribulation before the 2nd Coming of our Lord, which we more accurately refer to as Daniel’s 70th Week?  Or is Elenin’s appearance at this time and place in the sky just a series of coincidences that only appears to be a fulfillment of Revelation 12? 

And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars; and she was with child; and she cried out, being in labor and in pain to give birth.  And another sign appeared in heaven: and behold, a great red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and on his head were seven diadems.  And his tail swept away a third of the stars of heaven, and threw them to the earth.  And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she gave birth he might devour her child. (Revelation 12: 1-4 NAS). 

And when the dragon saw that he was thrown down to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male child (Revelation 12:13 NAS). 

And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went off to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus (Revelation 12:17 NAS). 

During the second half of September, the comet Elenin will be in the constellation of Virgo, the virgin.  The sun will also be in Virgo, so the woman (Virgo) will be clothed with the sun.  At the same time, the moon will be at the feet of Virgo.  During the latter part of September, Elenin moves up the face of Virgo to a place where it would almost appear to be the tears coming from Virgo’s eye as she cries out in pain as she is about to give birth.  Then Elenin moves further up Virgo’s face to rest on the top of her head, like a crown.  Actually, it will look like a tiara among twelve stars above Virgo’s head.  All of this will fall into place onSeptember 29, 2011. 

Comets are rare, and for one to appear in this scenario with Virgo, the sun,  moon, Saturn, and Venus would be incredibly rare, indeed. But there is more. . . 

The planet Venus is in the mid-section of Virgo as if it were a child in its mother’s womb.  Saturn is also present and in the right position, as if it were a dragon waiting for the child to be born, so that it could devour the child.   

Perhaps it is just coincidence, but in the world of legend and the occult the Roman deity, Saturn, has always been regarded as a dragon and was identified with the deity Cronus.  According to legend of Cronus, he was to be killed by one of his children, so Cronus would wait nearby each time one of his children was to be born and then he would devour the child as soon as it was delivered.  

In Revelation 12 the woman represents the nation of Israel.  When the dragon persecutes the woman and makes war with the rest of her offspring we will be experiencing the 7 year tribulation period of Daniel’s 70th week. 

I am not attempting to predict the exact date that Daniel’s 70th Week will begin.  What I am saying is that a remarkable series of signs are coming together on the last couple of days of September that certainly seem to warn of the imminent resumption of Daniel’s 70th Week and the 7 year period of tribulation on the earth which is a part of Daniel’s 70th Week.  

There is an excellent presentation of these events on You Tube by Anton Fiori of Crimson Pill TV entitled, Elenin & Prophecy: “Fulfills” Revelation Ch 12 on 9-29-11.

I am sure this is just a coincidence as well, but during the second week in September the Palestinians are going to seek full membership in the United Nations based on the borders prior to the war in 1967, withEast Jerusalemas their capital.  God has made it very clear that He will not tolerate anyone taking land from His chosen people and He is particularly sensitive about His holy city,Jerusalem.  I believe that if anyone wants to look for prophetic signposts they need to watchIsrael, and particularlyJerusalem.  God considersIsrael, and particularlyJerusalem, to be the center of the world.  I am not predicting that worldwide tribulation might break out because of these actions by the Palestinians.  After all, things have been real peaceful and lovingly quiet over there for years – right?  I am just glad that I will be on the opposite side of the planet on that day and if you find me hiding in a deep cave, that will just be a coincidence as well. 

The Bible tells us that in the last daysIsraelwill be all alone in the world with few, if any, friends.  The Lord warnedIsraelthat they would be hated and persecuted by all nations because of Him (Revelation 12:9).  TheUnited Statesis one of only five nations that have veto power in the United Nations.  If theUnited Statesshould fail to veto statehood for the Palestinians, this final piece of prophecy would come to pass.  

Speaking of coincidences, the first day of Rosh Hashanah occurs on September 29, 2011(Tishrei 1).  This is the Jewish New Year and it also the day that some believe is the actual birthday of Jesus.  This could certainly be as good of a time as any for Daniel’s 70th Week to randomly begin ticking away again.  

When the prophet Daniel was about 80 years old the angel Gabriel gave him a prophecy about the future.  This prophecy is recorded in the chapter 9 of the Book of Daniel, and is often referred to as God’s Prophetic Time Clock.Israelwas given 70 weeks of years (490 years) to accomplish 6 goals.  It further says that after 69 of those 70 weeks (483 years) the Messiah would come but would be rejected and killed, theTemplewould be destroyed, the prophetic time clock would stop, and the people would be dispersed.  We know that during a gap in time of unspecified length God would take a people for Himself from among the Gentiles.  When the full number of those Gentiles has “come in” God will turn His attention back toIsrael, and the clock will start running again for the last week (7 years). This is where, I believe, we are now – just seconds away from the clock beginning to tick again. 

Rosh Hashanah is also known as the Feast of Trumpets.  In the New Testament there are two very special occasions for the blowing of trumpets.  They are the rapture and the 2nd Coming.  

Rosh Hashanah takes place at the time of the new moon, rather than a full moon, when only a tiny sliver of its surface is visible.  The timing of the new moon is difficult to predict, and a minimum of two visual sightings are required to confirm it.  For this reason, Rosh Hashanah has come to be known as the feast where “no one knows the day or the hour”.  It is also interesting to note that Jesus told us in 4 places in the Bible that “no one knows the day or hour” of His return.  This is pure speculation on my part, but wouldn’t it be a remarkable coincidence if He was actually giving us a hint as to what day to look for His return? 

Actually, I believe there are incredibly few things which occur in our universe that are truly random.  Our God is an incredibly precise God and everything we see in our universe, from the motion of the planets and stars, to the microscopic world of the building blocks of life, to the infinitesimally small world of atomic particles, are incredibly precise.  I believe that God rarely ever uses the word “approximately.”  This is why I find it so hard to believe that either the rapture or the 2nd Coming of our Lord will occur on a day which has no special significance other than being the day when the counter on the gates of heaven just happen to click on the pre-determined number set in advance by God.  Several thousand years from now when we are all sitting around in the New Jerusalem reminiscing about how it was “back in the day” on the “Big E” (earth), I am certain that there will be armchair quarterbacks with their 20/20 hindsight who will be proclaiming how they cannot possibly understand why the people on earth could have missed all of the signs and not possibly known the exact day of both the rapture and the 2nd Coming.  What they will fail to realize is that looking backward is easy.  Trying to interpret the signs of the times in advance is almost impossible because there are so many of them.  There are so many signs out there it is becoming increasingly difficult to see the road. 

There are many other events happening in the world at this moment that suggest the start of Daniel’s 70th Week is at hand.  Daniel’s 70th Week will begin with a series of 3 sets of 7 judgments that will start off bad and get progressively worse until, the Bible tells us, all life will be destroyed if God does not intervene to stop them.  The beginning of these judgments involves the four horsemen of the apocalypse which we find in chapter 6 of Revelation. 

The first horseman rides a white horse and represents the anti-Christ, who goes forth conquering and to conquer (Revelation 6:2).  The entire Islamic world is in turmoil at the moment and is without a leader.  This huge power vacuum is going to be filled with somebody very soon because nature does not like a vacuum.  I shudder to think who this person will be, but if he is the leader of all of the angry Muslims out there, he is not going to be a very nice guy. 

The second horseman rides a red horse and is going to take peace from the earth (Revelation 6:3-4).  I can certainly see how theMiddle Eastis ready to explode into war and pull the rest of the world into the conflict.  In fact, I am truly amazed that we have had peace for this long. 

The third horseman rides a black horse and is going to bring famine and economic collapse (Revelation 6:5-6).  As I sit here and type, there are 12 million people inAfricawho are starving in the severest drought in 60 years.  In fact, this drought has been declared the worst humanitarian crisis in all of history. North Koreais also experiencing severe famine, as well as parts ofChina,India,Pakistan, and many other parts of the world.  As for economic collapse, most of the world’s countries are in serious economic trouble withGreece,Ireland,Spain,Italy, andPortugalon the verge of default.  TheUnited Statesis not doing real well at the moment, either. 

The fourth horseman rides a pale horse and brings death, followed by hell (Revelation 6:7-8).  One-fourth of the world’s population will die in the seal judgments (Revelation 6:8), and a third of those who survive will die in the trumpet judgments (Revelation9:15).  I can certainly see how deaths could easily number into the hundreds of millions as a result of the first three horsemen riding forth.  I can also see how hell could follow closely behind.  There will be incredibly few believers around when the four horsemen start their ride, especially if the rapture of the Church has already occurred.  Unbelievers who die go to hell, yet I seriously doubt that there are any unbelievers in hell once they get there. 

When I look at conditions in the world at this moment, I cannot help but wonder how things could have become this bad without Daniel’s 70th Week actually starting, but we still have to see someone confirm a covenant, or series of covenants, with Israel (Daniel 9:27).  

I am sure that it is also a coincidence, but September is when the “don’t ask, don’t tell” restrictions will be officially lifted in our military and homosexuals will obtain the special, privileged status they have sought after for so long.  September is also when Egyptis scheduled to have its elections in which the Muslim Brotherhood is expected to win.  September 11, 2011, will also be the 10th anniversary of when our nation was attacked. 

God has given each of us gifts in this life and we are expected to be good stewards of both our lives and these gifts.  If we think that we know the date when our Lord will return, it is important that we continue to be good stewards of our lives and our gifts until the Lord actually arrives.  It is also very important that we do not cause any of our brothers or sisters to be harmed by our guessing.  The most important thing for us to do is to be ready when the Lord does arrive.

Looming Soros Conference Will Focus on Rearranging Global ‘Financial Order’

The new world order is coming.  The pieces are falling into place.

Evil is the only word I can use to describe Soros.  It is amazing the influence this man has with groups and governments around the world.  Everywhere you turn, there is another Soros funded group, it is insane…  He is working to bring about the change outlined in Revelation.

Looming Soros Conference Will Focus on Rearranging Global ‘Financial Order’

On April 8, dozens of “academic, business and government policy thought leaders” are scheduled to gather for a forum reminiscent of the 1944 Bretton Woods gathering that helped launch the World Bank and International Monetary Fund following World War II.

The George Soros-founded Institute for New Economic Thinking will hold its annual conference April 8-11, 2011 at the Mount Washington Hotel in Bretton Woods, N.H.  According to the group’s website, the event will bring together economic figures such as Soros, former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and former Fed Chairman Paul Volcker to discuss a new, globalized vision of economics in the post-war world.

“This conference reflects INET’s dedication to inspiring and provoking new economic thinking,” the website says.

“Crisis and trauma offer us a rare opportunity to work together to create real lasting change.  This is one of those times,” INET says.  Promoting “real” justice and equity requires “reinventing” the prevailing economic model — capitalism:

Blueprint for End-Times Monetary System

Somewhat under the radar but still visible if one looks, the world is positioning itself to drop the dollar and move to a new single world currency.  I think that is what Jesus meant when he said be watchful.

Revelation 13:17 – “…so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, …”

Most of us today are so distracted, there are more time killers today than anytime in history.  Not even 100 years ago, people spent the majority of their time working for just the basics, today we have so much free time, we often hear of people being bored.  Or if not, they continuously have to one up themselves to keep themselves engaged.

It is really sad that most people probably don’t even know what the IMF is, let alone a SDR.  Until a few years ago, I did not either, but I had an awakening, it dropped the scales from my eyes and let me see all that was going on around us.  It is all in plain view, you just have to look for it and but a few puzzle pieces together.

It was this awakening that led me to start this site, so that I could try to wake others up as well.  It is not something you can do in one or even two conversations, so I hope this website can help tie some of the pieces (events) together for you.  Ultimately, they all tie back to God’s prophecy.  Once you see it, you will be amazed that you did not see it before.

Terry does a good job in the following article laying out what has been forming over the last few years on the front of an end-times monetary system.  It has accelerated in the last year or two as America slowing crashes from our over-extension spending binge.

The One World System
