Cuba demanded on Tuesday a new international political and economic order based on the principles of solidarity, social justice, equality and respect for the rights of the peoples and all human rights.

Addressing the plenary session of the United Nation’s Millennium Development Goals Summit underway in New York, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla said that the lack of solutions to the most serious development issues and the problems of those who live in poverty and underdevelopment will also affect industrialized societies, where unemployment rates grow and brutal migratory policies are becoming common.

The diplomat added that the goals included in the Declaration of the Millennium have almost been completely fulfilled in Cuba and some of them have even been surpassed.

“Our commitment goes beyond the borders of our country and it has allowed us to contribute to the social development of other Third World  nations”, he said.

Interfaith movement brings world closer to global religious system

During the last days prior to the return of Jesus Christ, one of the many signs heralding His return will be a global apostasy (2 Thessalonians 2:3) coinciding with a global cry for peace.(1 Thessalonians 5:3) Globalized communications of our day facilitate the rise and speed of this falling away from the faith, and have also been prophesied since the Bible foretells the world will see certain events come to pass. (Revelation 11:9-10; 17:8)

With nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons technology, terrorist threats, combined with several nations increasingly more hungry for power and domination than for true peace, the capability of mankind destroying all life on earth today, is real. Over 2000 years ago, Jesus predicted this capability for world destruction at a time when only spears and swords were the weapons used. (Matthew 24:21-22)

All these factors and more, play into the role of fulfilling the prophecy found in Revelation chapter 13, the time coming when the Antichrist , or ‘false messiah’ forms his one world religion (Revelation 13:12)

To get to the point of global worship of the Antichrist who will rule the world temporarily during the tribulation prior to the return of Jesus Christ , the true Messiah, there must (logically) be a global ‘conditioning’ or preparation, and this begins with apostasy, or the ‘falling away’ from the true faith in Jesus Christ in much of the Christian world. This is happening right now and increasingly so, with the global cry for peace. Jesus Christ is denied as being the ‘only way, truth, and life’ (John 14:6) and in many churches, this truth is excluded (subtly in many cases with a weak gospel) in the name of ‘peace and tolerance.’ How can this happen? What is the motive or inspiration? This is an examination of only a few factors working together to bring about this change.

Russia favours boosting the UN central role in world affairs.

This came in a statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry following Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov’s meeting with the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on the sidelines of the ongoing 65th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

The meeting proved a showdown of views on a number of problems that feature prominently on the UN agenda, with an emphasis laid on a settlement of regional conflicts, as well as on action on the Millennium Development Goals project.

Italy seizes 7 tonnes of Iranian explosive in port

REGGIO DI CALABRIA, Italy – Italian authorities have seized 7 tones of powerful RDX explosive being shipped from Iran to Syria, police said on Wednesday.

Anti-mafia police found the cargo in a shipping container on a Liberian-registered ship that docked in the Calabrian port of Gioia Tauro in southern Italy last month and said it would have been enough to destroy the port.

The cargo, hidden among packs of powdered milk, was seized on August 27 but police, who were tipped off by intelligence services, did not make an announcement until this week.

Good article on the extent to which our government is going today.  GPS and tracking device technology, use to be something from a Bond movie, but today it is being used more and more.  Something you may not have thought about, I know I hadn’t, is found in the court’s ruling:

The court said that a person “who knows all of another’s travels can deduce whether he is a weekly churchgoer, a heavy drinker, a regular at the gym, an unfaithful husband, an outpatient receiving medical treatment, an associate of particular individuals or political groups — and not just one such fact about a person, but all such facts.”

Think about that, does that sound like something that would be useful to a global government that is set up to control everything about our lives, including a mark in which they control all sales and purchases?

The Obama administration has urged a federal appeals court to allow the government, without a court warrant, to affix GPS devices on suspects’ vehicles to track their every move.

The Justice Department is demanding a federal appeals court rehear a case in which it reversed the conviction and life sentence of a cocaine dealer whose vehicle was tracked via GPS for a month, without a court warrant. The authorities then obtained warrants to search and find drugs in the locations where defendant Antoine Jones had travelled.

The administration, in urging the full U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia to reverse a three-judge panel’s August ruling from the same court, said Monday that Americans should expect no privacy while in public.

Fiscal multipliers, something you should know about because they impact you in oh so many ways.  It is all part of the jigsaw puzzle that is our government.  It is amazing how much influence those that we never elect have on our government.  Sometimes I question, what do we pay our elected official for, what do they actually do?

The Black Box That Dictates Tax and Spend

“Fiscal multipliers.”

It’s a black box term used in DC to determine which tax and spend policies deliver the biggest bang for the buck, a term that is so cryptic, even economists can’t quite agree on how they work.

But fiscal multipliers can do great damage to your wallet because they dictate all sorts of tax and spend legislation.

Notably, this theoretical bling is used to justify the DC fiscal dipsomaniacs’ very expensive Keynesian spending “multipliers.”

More and more spending that creates a possible devaluation of the dollar which creates inflation. Since all sorts of taxes, including the capital gains tax, the estate tax, and the alternative minimum tax,  are not indexed to inflation, taking more taxes from you and me due to government-caused inflation is immoral.

Fiscal multipliers also provide political cover for almost any legislative science project Congress cooks up.

It is hard to believe Government statistics these days, there is so much spin and discounting certain groups or redefining definitions of economics.

Why do we not count food & groceries, gas & oil, and energy from our inflation numbers?

Why do we not count individuals that have stopped looking for jobs from our unemployment numbers?

Why do we not count any of our promised benefits of Social Security, Medicare, and pensions in our national debt?

Why do we not know the balance sheet of the Federal Reserve, a private, yes private bank we have given the right to print money for us and charge us interest?

US Government ‘hiding true amount of debt’

THE actual figure of the US’ national debt is much higher than the official sum of $US13.4 trillion ($14.3 trillion) given by the Congressional Budget Office, according to analysts cited on Sunday by the New York Post.

“The Government is lying about the amount of debt. It is engaging in Enron accounting,” said Laurence Kotlikoff, an economist at Boston University and co-author of The Coming Generational Storm: What You Need to Know about America’s Economic Future.

“The problem is we’re seeing an explosion in spending,” added Andrew Moylan, director of government affairs for the National Taxpayers Union.

Here we go folks, the trigger hasn’t been pulled but the Fed said they would and are looking to at the appropriate time.  Gold shot up as soon as it was announced, which means the market believes they will use “quantitative easing”.  Printing money to buy debt.  The US dollar also declined on the news.  You must remain watchful, for as soon as they pull the trigger, know inflation, maybe hyperinflation is on the way.

Fed Signals It May Take Further Steps to Boost Economy

The Federal Reserve on Tuesday inched closer to fresh steps to bolster a sluggish U.S. recovery, saying it stood ready to provide more support for the economy and expressing concerns about low inflation.

The U.S. central bank’s policy-setting panel made no shift in monetary policy at the end of a one-day meeting, keeping overnight interest rates near zero, but it opened the door wider to pumping more money into the economy.

“The committee will continue to monitor the economic outlook and financial developments and is prepared to provide additional accommodation if needed to support the economic recovery and to return inflation, over time, to levels consistent with its mandate,” the Fed said in a statement.

After its meeting on August 10, the Fed had simply said it would “employ its policy tools as necessary.” The Fed underscored its concerns over slowing inflation in its statement on Tuesday, saying the underlying rate of inflation was below levels consistent with its mandate for price stability and full employment.

This is a spooky article, I am glad it is still the fringe but it is gaining traction as the wheels come off the environmental movement.

The current White House science czar John P. Holdren also advocates the most obscenely dictatorial, eco-fascist, and inhumane practices in the name of environmentalism. In his 1977 Ecoscience textbook, Holdren calls for a “planetary regime” to carry out forced abortions and mandatory sterilization procedures, as well as drugging the water supply, in an effort to cull the human surplus.

It is good to know what is buried just below the surface of these movements.

We must be watchful, to not be deceived.

A Finnish environmentalist guru has gone further than any other global warming alarmist in openly calling for fascism as a necessary step to save the planet from ecological destruction, demanding that climate change deniers be “re-educated” in eco-gulags and that the vast majority of humans be killed with the rest enslaved and controlled by a green police state, with people forcibly sterilized, cars confiscated and travel restricted to members of the elite.

Linkola’s doctrine is more extreme, repulsive, and threatening to liberty than anything carried out by history’s worst dictators, Hitler, Stalin and Mao – combined. Indeed, Linkola laments that such monsters didn’t go far enough in wiping out many more millions of people.

Europe leaders urge bank tax to battle poverty

European leaders stepped up demands for a global financial tax on Monday as they faced mounting calls for money to pay for the Millennium Goals battle to cut extreme poverty.

President Nicolas Sarkozy of France and Spain’s Prime Minister Jose Luis Zapatero said they would press for the new tax at international summits.

The world’s wealthy countries face growing pressure at the three day Millennium Development Goals (MDG) summit to contribute more to the drive to eradicate poverty and improve child and maternal health.

African nations in particular are calling for more action and the West can expect little sympathy when the likes of Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad speak on Tuesday.

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said the struggling effort to reach eight key development goals by 2015 could still be met if world leaders provide the necessary money and political will.

You’ve got to admit, some of our hearts are trashed out.  Let any riffraff knock on the door, and we throw it open.  Anger shows up, and we let him in.  Revenge needs a place to stay, so we have him pull up a chair.  Pity wants to have a party, so we show him the kitchen.  Lust rings the bell, and we change the sheets on the bed.  Don’t we know how to sy no?

Many don’t.  For most of us, thought management is, well, unthought of.  We think much about time management, weight management, personnel management, even scalp management.  But what about thought management?  Shouldn’t we be as concerned about managing our thoughts as we are managing anything else?  Jesus was.  Like a trained soldier at the gate of a city, he stood watch over his mind.  He stubbornly guarded the gateway of his heart. . . .

If he did, shouldn’t we . . . ?

Russian crop misery spreads to world’s supermarkets

The hulking green combine tractor clatters across a wheat field at the sprawling Maslovka farm, a typical autumn scene in Russia’s agricultural heartland.

This year however, the machine is not harvesting wheat but ploughing dead crops back into the cracked, sun-scorched earth, a symbol of a land hit by an unprecedented summer drought and savage forest fires.

“These are scary times,” says Karpa Osipova, 84, who lives on Lenin Street, a few blocks from the Maslovka farm.

“The prices of crops are slowly rising, and my pension isn’t big enough,” says Osipova. “I don’t even know how I am going to be able to afford bread.”

The situation on Maslovka farm will affect not just whether Osipova gets her daily loaf of bread, but may also have a far-reaching impact on global bread supplies and food prices.

Major General Gholamali Rashid said that under “current threatening conditions” when the US and Israel are “daily beating on their war drums,” it would not be an exaggeration to say that we are on the verge of a potential war in the [near] future.”

Got to love all these new “Advisory Boards”.  All of this under the umbrella of green energy.  I love how they have to back door all of this green stuff, or subsidize it heavily.

Four areas they are going to influence:

Energy Department Says It Has ‘Mandate’ to Force ‘Market Transformation’ for Household Appliances

Assistant Secretary of Energy Cathy Zoi said Thursday that the U.S. Department of Energy has a “mandate” to issue regulations to determine what household appliances are available to Americans in the future.

Speaking at the inaugural meeting of the recently reestablished Secretary of Energy Advisory Board (SEAB), Zoi pointed to four tactics the Obama administration intended use to advance the “deployment of clean energy.” The first three were government subsidies for private-sector green energy projects, special tax incentives for green energy projects and low-interest government-backed loans for green energy projects.

“The fourth one, which the secretary and I love,” said Zoi, “is where we have a mandate. Where we can actually just issue regulations and do market transformation.”

This article is a little disturbing, not only because they do not plan on telling us what is genetically modified but that they feel we are to dump to understand any warning they could use. They won’t even let companies tell is theirs is modification free.

Their job, I thought, was to protect us and inform us of potential risks.  Not just which risks they feel we could understand, all risks!  Deception is blanketing the earth, there seem to be no areas of man’s world that is not deep in deception…

FDA won’t allow food to be labeled free of genetic modification

That the Food and Drug Administration is opposed to labeling foods that are genetically modified is no surprise anymore, but a report in the Washington Post indicates the FDA won’t even allow food producers to label their foods as being free of genetic modification.

In reporting that the FDA will likely not require the labeling of genetically modified salmon if it approves the food product for consumption, the Post’s Lyndsey Layton notes that the federal agency “won’t let conventional food makers trumpet the fact that their products don’t contain genetically modified ingredients.”

President Ahmedinejad Threatens U.S. With War ‘Without Boundaries’

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad warned the Obama administration today that if Iran’s nuclear facilities are attacked, the U.S. will face a war that “would know no boundaries.”

The Iranian president, who is in New York for the annual meetings of the United Nations General Assembly, spoke at a breakfast meeting with reporters and editors at Manhattan’s Warwick Hotel.

He said that Iran is on the brink of becoming a nuclear power, and warned Israel and the U.S. against attacking its nuclear facilities.

Asked about the possibility of a U.S.-supported Israeli air strike against Iran, the fiery Iranian leader said an attack would be considered an act of war, and suggested the U.S. is unprepared for the consequences. Such a war “would know no boundaries,” Ahmedinejad said. “War is not just bombs.”

At least 23 soldiers killed in ambush in Tajikistan; officials blame Islamic militants

DUSHANBE, Tajikistan –  DUSHANBE, Tajikistan (AP) — Heavily armed Islamic militants ambushed a military convoy in eastern Tajikistan, killing at least 23 soldiers and dealing a devastating blow to this impoverished nation on Afghanistan’s poorly secured northern border.

The military convoy was heading for Rasht district, an area about 80 kilometers (50 miles) north of the Afghan border, when it was attacked in a valley Sunday, Defense Ministry spokesman Faridun Makhmadaliyev said Monday.

He said the attackers were led by Mullo Abdullo, a radical Islamic commander who took an active part in the five-year civil war that devastated this former Soviet republic in the 1990s.

Another warlord, Alovuddin Davlatov, is also suspected to have taken part in Sunday’s ambush, Makhmadaliyev said, as well as citizens from Afghanistan and Pakistan and fighters from the volatile southern Russian region of Chechnya.

Abdullo fled to Afghanistan after the end of the civil war in 1997, but he is believed to have returned to his native country some time last year.

Davlatov’s brother, a politician with the opposition Islamic Revival Party, was detained by security services 10 days ago on suspicion of belonging to a banned extremist organization.

As well as the 23 deaths, many soldiers were seriously wounded and were evacuated for treatment after Sunday’s ambush, Makhmadaliyev said.

Tajik President Emomali Rakhmon, who is currently in New York to attend a session of the United Nations General Assembly, ordered the attackers brought to justice.

Police patrols in the Tajik capital already have been increased amid rising tension following a string of terrorist blasts and a large-scale prison escape by Islamist insurgents and government opponents.

A suicide bombing against a police station in the northern city of Khujand earlier this month claimed two victims and wounded 25. Days later, a bomb was detonated in a disco in Dushanbe, wounding seven.

Authorities believe Islamic militants were responsible for both bombings.

Most Islamist fighters gave up armed resistance after reaching an uneasy peace settlement with the government. But many returned with a hard-line anti-government position over concerns they were being squeezed out of official positions granted to them as part of the peace agreement.

Military activity in the remote and mountainous Rasht Valley, where Abdullo is believed to have taken refuge, has picked up in recent weeks as authorities seek to capture 18 men still on the run after a dramatic prison breakout last month.

Only seven of the 25 fugitives, who included many Islamic militants and government opponents, have been captured.

That’s a tricky question for the Federal Reserve when it meets Tuesday to debate what would warrant pumping more money into the financial system.

To battle the financial crisis, the Fed bought $1.7 trillion of longer-term Treasury and mortgage-related bonds, supplementing its pledge to keep interest rates near zero for a long time.

All told, it helped stabilize a collapsing financial system and to avert what could have been a second Great Depression.

Now, faced with a 9.6 percent jobless rate and below-target inflation, Fed policymakers are trying to gauge how much they could achieve if they resume massive quantitative easing.

Few analysts expect the Fed to launch a new round of bond buying this week, and uncertainty over the impact of fresh moves may be a factor keeping the central bank on the sidelines.

“I think part of the hesitancy of the committee to use quantitative easing a second time around relates to views of its effectiveness,” said Vince Reinhart, a former Fed staffer.

Here is an article about the US that toward the end makes mention that Spain is forcing private retirement accounts to purchase government debt.

“And that is if the government itself does not confiscate pensions and retirement savings and demand that they be put into soon-to-be-worthless government debt. Far fetched? Spain’s secretary of state for social security, Octavio Granada, was recently quoted as saying that by the end of 2010 some 90% of all Spanish pension savings will be “invested” in domestic government debt. Spain isn’t some 3rd world banana republic and they are already moving strongly in this direction. With trillion dollar deficits as far as the eye can see, where else can the US Government hope to get the money to fund all their debt?”

As he stated, Spain is not a third world country, this was also done in Argentina but that was written off as being a developing nation struggling with hyperinflation.  Spain is like us, just smaller and a few steps ahead.

When times are good, or at least relatively good, unsustainable trends can appear sustainable. The now-aging baby boomers who had a lot of their wealth tied up in their home and the stock market were feeling great. They had just come off of a 20 year super-bull market in equities and up until 2007 they were seeing the value of their home increase by leaps and bounds every year.

Sure, their kids were scraping by on credit card and student loan debt. But there were jobs to be found and even if they couldn’t scrape by they could always count on some help, and even housing, from Mom and Pop.

Some years ago a sociologist accompanied a group of mountain climbers on an expedition.  Among other things, he observed a distinct correlation between cloud cover and contentment.  When there was no cloud  cover, and the peak was in view, the climbers were energetic and cooperative.  When the gray clouds eclipsed the view of the mountaintop, though, the climbers were sullen and selfish.

The same thing happens to us.  As long as our eyes are on God’s majesty there is a bounce in our step.  But let our eyes focus on the dirt beneath us and we will grumble about every rock and crevice we have to cross.  For this reason Paul urged, “Don’t shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you.  Look up, and be alert to the things going on around Christ–that’s where the action is.  See things from his perspective” (Col. 3:1-2 MSG).

A Side Issue

Increasingly, I feel ill winds blowing for Israel. On all fronts, the Jewish state is threatened, and most of them we expect. The PLO, foreign diplomats, various terrorist groups worldwide, dictators like Hugo Chavez…these are the obvious villains. They deserve the label.

Yet the threat that bothers me most is the one from the Church. The subject itself is controversial, and even diabolical in that many of those who “oppose Joshua” today would deny that they do!

Forget big government – the same elite whose policies caused the financial collapse are now ready to launch the next phase of their fascist takeover of the economy – by forcing businesses to send employee paychecks straight to the government, who would then deduct the “appropriate tax” before the employee receives their wage, as the statist cancer of collectivism grows.

The proposal represents another hammer blow to financial privacy, as the establishment moves towards a total cashless society where every transaction is tracked, traced and controlled by the authorities.

“The UK’s tax collection agency is putting forth a proposal that all employers send employee paychecks to the government, after which the government would deduct what it deems as the appropriate tax and the pay the employee’s by bank transfer,” reports CNBC.

The system would be run by the same organization, Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC), that has become notorious for its botched handling of data and incorrect tax calculations which have forced people to spend months and even years trying to claim back unfairly claimed money seized by the taxman.

After the UN set ambitious goals for improving the lives of millions of people, global governance has come to the fore. When addressing issues of worldwide significance many nations need to be at the table, experts say.

The United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDG) include pledges to wipe out extreme poverty, achieve universal primary education, promote gender equality, reduce rates of child mortality, fight epidemic diseases, and develop a global partnership for development.

Wall Street’s Engines of Profit Are Freezing Up

Inside the great investment houses on Wall Street, business has taken a surprising turn — downward.

Even after taxpayer bailouts restored bankers’ profits and pay, the great Wall Street money machine is decelerating. Big financial institutions, including commercial banks, are still making a lot of money. But given unease in the financial markets and the economy, brokerages and investment banks are not making nearly as much as their executives, employees and investors had hoped.

After an unusually sharp slowdown in trading this summer, analysts are rethinking their profit forecasts for 2010.

The activities at the heart of what Wall Street does — selling and trading stocks and bonds, and advising on mergers — are running at levels well below where they were at this point last year, said Meredith Whitney, a bank analyst who was among the first to warn of the subprime mortgage disaster and its impact on big banks.

Worldwide, the number of stock offerings is down 15 percent from this time last year, while bond issuance is off 25 percent, according to Capital IQ, a research firm. Based on these trends, Ms. Whitney predicts that annual revenue from Wall Street’s main businesses will drop 25 percent, to around $42 billion in 2010, from $56 billion last year.

PA affirms death penalty for land sales to Israelis

The PA says the land law is necessary to prevent the expansion of Jewish settlements in the West Bank and east Jerusalem.

The Palestinian Authority on Sunday reaffirmed the death penalty for any Palestinian found guilty of selling land to Israelis.

The decision came in response to a ruling by a Palestinian court according to which such acts were only a “minor offense.”

PA Prosecutor-General Ahmed al-Mughni appealed against the ruling to a higher court, arguing that the sale of land to Israelis was a “major offense” punishable by death.

The appeal was accepted.

Global ‘internet treaty’ proposed

Deal would enshrine in law the founding principles of open standards and net neutrality, and protect the web from political interference.

The proposal was presented at the Internet Governance Forum in Lithuania last week, and outlined 12 “principles of internet governance”, including a commitment from countries to sustain the technological foundations that underpin the web’s infrastructure.

The draft law has been likened to the Space Treaty, signed in 1967, which stated that space exploration should be carried out for the benefit of all nations, and guaranteed “free access to all areas of celestial bodies”.

Under the proposed terms of the law, there would be cross-border co-operation between countries to identify and address security vulnerability and protect the network from possible cyber attacks or cyber terrorism.

It would also uphold rights to freedom of expression and association, and the principle of net neutrality, in which all internet traffic is treated equally across the network.

“The fundamental functions and the core principles of the internet must be preserved in all layers of the internet architecture with a view to guaranteeing the interoperability of networks in terms of infrastructures, services and contents,” reads the proposal.

“The end-to-end principle should be protected globally.”

Bangladesh: 585 people contracted anthrax since August

Bangladesh’s government says anthrax has spread in the country, with some 585 people contracting the disease since late August. The government’s Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research released the figures Monday, reporting cases of anthrax in 12 of the country’s 64 districts.

So far, none of the victims have died and none are seriously ill.

While anthrax is not new to Bangladesh, there’s no record of it spreading so widely. The institute said that initially, 38 villagers were sickened by the bacterial disease in northern Sirajganj district after infected cows were slaughtered. Humans typically get anthrax from touching infected animals or animal products. Human infections are potentially fatal. (AP)

Great article on nations world-wide beginning to falter and crumble.  They have based their governments on failed ideas and policies: fiat currency, spending driven economy, huge debt, no balance, tax the few to support the many.

It is the same all over, all that have tried it, are failing.  But it is not just a reflection on the failed ideas, it is setting the stage for one world government.

Signs Of A Crumbling Regime

Can you see it? The signs are everywhere. The regime is crumbling.

No not the President Barack Obama regime, though that is part of it; maybe even the catalyst in the United States, at least. I’m talking about the regime in general; the system.

You can see it in places like Greece. There the government has been fighting for its economic life. Years of socialist redistribution — theft from the producers to finance the growing State leviathan and unionized public and private sector employees — have caught up.

The government is now instituting “austerity” measures. It has to. It can’t meet its obligations. So it’s cutting back on growth in salaries, vacation days, benefits and pensions. Unionized public works employees and service employees aren’t happy their gravy train has jumped the tracks. They strike and riot. Greece may or may not survive.

Much the same is going on in other parts of Europe. The French government’s plans to save money by raising the retirement age to 62 from 60 sparked a one-day strike among workers from the public and private sectors in transportation, education, justice, healthcare, media and banking.

The “little people” are waking up to the fact that their governments — the elected class — have done them a disservice. Their regimes, financed by fiat money and having positioned themselves as the “Great Nannies,” are unable to fulfill promises of utopia, wine and roses.

Part of the reason, Israel is being so stubborn on the settlement freeze, is the fact that the Palestinians will not recognize Israel as a Jewish state.

This is getting little press, as God predicted it would, all the pressure would be on Israel.  This article has an interesting twist based on the refusal to recognize Israel.

It seems like a very reasonable, logical step to discuss.  How will the media frame the issue?

Lieberman: Peace talks must reassess Israeli-Arabs’ right to citizenship

With the Palestinians refusing to recognize Israel as a Jewish state, negotiations must tackle issue of Israeli-Arab ‘loyalty’, foreign minister says – prompting accusations of ‘apartheid and ethnic cleansing’ from Arab MK.

The question of Israeli citizenship must play a central role in Middle East peace talks, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said on Sunday, suggesting that “disloyal” Arab-Israelis should take Palestinian citizenship.

“The question of Israel’s citizens needs to be one of the central issues on the negotiating table, in light of the Palestinian refusal to recognize Israel as a Jewish state,” Lieberman said ahead of Sunday’s weekly cabinet meeting in Jerusalem.

Recognizing Israel as uniquely Jewish is one of the key demands by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the latest peace talks with the Palestinians, which began earlier this month.

Mideast officials fly to US as talks crisis looms

Top Israeli and Palestinian officials on Sunday headed for the United States where they were expected to seek ways to break a deadlock over settlements which is threatening to sabotage peace talks.

Israeli President Shimon Peres left shortly after midnight on a four-day visit to coincide with the UN General Assembly meeting in New York, and a few hours later Defence Minister Ehud Barak set off for talks in Washington.

Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas, currently in Amman, was also to fly to New York on Sunday evening for the annual sitting, with efforts under way to arrange a meeting with US President Barack Obama, a senior Palestinian official told AFP.

“There are also preparations for a meeting between (Israeli premier Benjamin) Netanyahu, Obama and Abbas,” he said. “There is an expectation that they will meet.”

Netanyahu’s office said he had no plans to fly to the United States this week, and would not say whether he would meet Abbas before the settlements freeze expires later this month.

Barak: US will supply Israel with bunker busters

Defense minister to meet with top US security officials in DC; Jerusalem believes Washington will agree to supply Israel with advanced cruise missiles, bombs designed to penetrate underground facilities

Defense Minister Ehud Barak is visiting Washington once again ahead of planned meetings with top security officials in the American administration.

Barak is expected to meet several top ranking officials Monday in order to secure new and advanced weaponry for Israel, especially in view of the latest arms deals in the Middle East.

The recent Russian ballistic missile sale to Syria and the arms deal between the US and Saudi Arabia, have Israel seeking to widen the technological gap in warfare between the IDF and Arab militaries.

Jerusalem is optimistic and believes Washington will agree to meet previously declined demands for advanced weaponry, such as “bunker busters” – bombs which are designed to penetrate hardened undergound targets – such as bunkers, as implied by their name – as well as advanced cruise missiles.

Promise of His Coming

A biblically prophetic reality that perfectly fits our present day, and that has been looked at a number of times, is the forewarning given by the apostle Peter especially to the generation alive at the end of the Church Age:

Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, “Where is the promise of his coming?” for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. (2 Pet 3:3-4)

Almost in every case of looking at this prophecy, the point has been exclusively dwelt upon that both the religious and non-religious of the world mockingly chide those of us who believe Jesus Christ will return to planet Earth. This is a prophecy that has observably come to pass in our time.

However, it is the phrase “promise of his coming” I would like to consider here, rather than the chiding sarcasm of the mockers.

Precious Metals: “The Canary In the Coal Mine”

The precious metals market has been on fire. Last week, gold hit a fresh all-time high and silver reached a new two-year high. In London, spot bullion hit a nominal record of $1,286 a troy ounce. The yellow metal has risen 17 percent since January. Gold is heading for its tenth consecutive annual gain, the longest winning streak since at least 1920.

This is outrageous.  It is not like this wasn’t purposefully done on the fly.  These speeches are developed over weeks of drafts and revisions.

I think we can see exactly how far we have come with the De-Christianization of America.  I really shouldn’t be surprised, this same man stated in another speech that the US is not really a Christian nation.

There are powers behind this movement that only God knows.  We are witnessing the deconstruction of our great nation.  We will know a man by his fruit.  What type of fruit is this?

Koch Industries Lawyer to White House: How Did You Get Our Tax Information?

Lately, the White House and its allies have been drawing attention to the political activities of libertarian billionaires Charles and David Koch. In an August 9 speech, President Obama singled out Americans for Prosperity, a free-market political group founded by David Koch in 2004. In the wake of the Citizens United Supreme Court decision, Obama said:

Right now all around this country there are groups with harmless-sounding names like Americans for Prosperity, who are running millions of dollars of ads against Democratic candidates all across the country.  And they don’t have to say who exactly the Americans for Prosperity are.  You don’t know if it’s a foreign-controlled corporation.  You don’t know if it’s a big oil company, or a big bank.  You don’t know if it’s a insurance company that wants to see some of the provisions in health reform repealed because it’s good for their bottom line, even if it’s not good for the American people.

For those that have not read Atlas Shrugged, it was set in a very similar situation.

All of the producers and successful people were vilified and shut down through government intervention, regulation, or other backroom deals, always for the “good of the people”.  So they just started disappearing?  Decided to leave.

This is a great article below of what we are doing to our country.  Anytime you have 50% of the country not paying any taxes and 2% paying more than the other 98% something is seriously wrong.

Will we see an exodus, it is still yet to be seen, but the fact that more and more people are becoming vocal about it, is surely a sign.

America is not mentioned in the end times, our economic might will have fallen.  Could we be exporting it?

From a different angle, we can imagine what would happen to our society if all of the economic producers left.  What do you think will happen, when all of the “moral” producers (restrainers) leave (are taken)?  What would the world be like?

Glen Esnard, a Newport Beach executive for real estate services firm Grubb & Ellis, went to bat in the Wall Street Journal last week for high-income-earners who believe it’s unfair that their tax rates should rise on Jan. 1, as President Obama proposes.

Esnard also suggested that the answer might be for the better-heeled to find a new country.
